yep. there it is. The usual reaction of anyone who couldn’t bear to listen to the man speak yet another word. While it may have been threatening and scary for many, it is simply far too amusing for the king. He raises his hands defensively the moment the woman raises her sword at her, and at the back of his head, he could feel a certain person already putting all of his guards up. There isn’t much he could do to defend his lord on the front part of his body, so if Richard takes no actions, then it means… – he is either a blatant fool ( very possible ) or simply has the situation in his hand ( very unlikely ).
If it comes down to it, regardless, Richard could defend himself. Probably.
“Hmm… Well, I’m sure I can recall a few people mentioning something of the kind. If not to my face, surely I have been called worse behind my back.” He is just far too used to it at this point, really - being called annoying isn’t an offense, it’s simply an statement.
His hands fall and cross on his chest as Richard watches the woman use her sword to drag a line on the ground. It’s too amusing to see, and the Lionheart can’t help the smile that shows on his face. Is a line of such kind really meant to keep both apart? It’s not like it would help him shut up. Under other circumstances, Richard would have respected the line. But this isn’t something made by respectful authorities - only a girl unfortunate enough to have met him, really.
“Ah, but I can’t do that! What if you come across any other beasts?” And the line is crossed, as the Saber takes careful steps after the other. His voice is lower and calmer this time, as if he’s trying to sound any less obnoxious. “Besides, I may have dulled your senses by being a bother. It wouldn’t be very knight-like of me to leave your before ensuring you will be safe and sound.” It’s true, really. Not an excuse this time. Not that anything he says is an excuse - because truly, it’s not. “I promise I don’t mean to annoy you. I am genuinely curious, that’s all. If you’d rather, we can see it like this: if you humor me a bit, I will turn around and leave you be! How does that sound?”
( ❀ )❜EYE WOULD TWITCH IN annoyance over the pure fact that he did know, but refused to do anything about it. If anything, it made her want to wrap her hands around his throat even more. There was no more patience at this point, she might as well be leaping on top of the fool and wringing his neck. The only thing stopping her from doing so would be the fact that knowing this werido, he’d probably enjoy it and laugh about it. Just that feeling in the back of her head, and it’d only annoy her further.
❝ If you know, then you should fucking stop being so piss ass annoying! ❞
Usually someone would feel pity for a person for being called worse behind their back. Unfortunately, he had the pleasure in dealing with an intoner who held no such feeling. In fact, she damn fucking believed this asshole deserved every ounce of the harsh words that would be spoken behind his back. Sadly though, she could actually relate to such a thing.
❝ FOR THE LOVE OF -- ❞ Her anger was rising even more now, her hands were starting to twitch, she really needed to stab something. Punch something. Do anything in any form in the act of violence. If she didn’t, she might just go on an entire killing spree.
First he crosses over her line she drew, which only fueled the fires even more, but then he actually started to try and be reasonable. This guy was certainly something else, a person whom she’d be glad to be rid of immediately. So damn annoying. ❝ I don’t have enough fucking patience in the whole damn world to humor you right now you idiot! ❞ If her sense had actually dulled from this moron, she might welcome an oncoming attack just so she can have a fresh new body that wasn’t tainted with this moment. The idea was highly considered for the moment. ❝ Tch, if you’re going to bother me even more...then I get to do one fucking thing. ❞
Revenge. It was pure revenge for the whole annoying conversation as her metallic hand balled up into a fist and was suddenly rammed into his stomach. It was a swift due punishment that she felt was justified. Even though she’d be able to punch him, it still didn’t make her feel any more better. ❝ If I fucking stab someone it’s your fault with how much you annoyed me. You get to take all the fucking blame, you got that? ❞ She would have also said no more annoying talk, but she highly doubt that would even happen. No, she was not in the good gracious hands of the Gods and Goddesses to have anything go her way.
At least she wouldn’t have a damn annoying singing dragon following her around.
