Tired But Trying

We have to submit a draft this Thursday that is supposed to be the almost completely finished version of a really big project for comparative vertebrate anatomy.

Time to get too work!

• Finish chapter readings and flash cards for medical terminology

• review and begin assignment for Medical Terminology

• Review Herbs of the Week and presentation slides for Foundations of Herbal Studies II

unfortunately had to take a few days off because life decided to happen

but we’re back with a lot to catch up on and a late night study session coming up. went to a bakery earlier for a matcha danish (requirement for long study hours)

5 days left until I head back to uni and 7 days until the exam, kind of bricking it with the amount i’ve got left so it’s time to lock in!!

only 2 hours in so far and i’d like to finish another topic tonight… i think i need to prioritise and just skim through topics that there won’t be an essay on. i am so. burnt. out.

Christmas Tree Aurora

It was December and the sky lit up like a Christmas tree. Shimmering, the vivid green, blue, and purple auroral colors that formed the tree-like apparition were caused by high atmospheric oxygen and nitrogen reacting to a burst of incoming electrons. Collisions caused the orbital electrons of atoms and molecules to jump into excited energy states and emit visible light when returning to their normal state. The featured image was captured in Djúpivogur, Iceland during the last month of 2023. Our Sun is currently in its most energetic phase of its 11-year cycle, with its high number of active regions and sunspots likely to last into next year. Of course, the Sun has been near solar maximum during this entire year, with its outbursts sometimes resulting in spectacular Earthly auroras.

Third slow day in a row, I guess this is a slow week! Still working on the conclusion for my thesis but I have always been bad at those. Hopefully it will get down by tomorrow.
