Wednesday 25 / 05 / 2016 

Yesterday we finished al our projects so today it was all about marketing.

We continue working on the poster with a more solid idea what we exactly want on it. We also started and finished our website and created a facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/MovingPaintingMachine ).

Tuesday 24 / 05 / 2016

Today we finished with the paint job of the car’s and half of the AEPS.

we finished the first controller today.

Monday 23 / 05 / 2016

We finished the last DRC (drawing remote controlled car) and the whole electronics part of the AEPS (awesome electronic painting sphere) and with the console to controle the AEPS.

the painted the DRC’s with the primary layers and we bought the paint that we are going to use to decorate  the DRC’s.

Friday 20 / 05 / 2016

Today our two projects should be finished. The cars we already finished so that was not a problem. So today we focused on the AEPS. 

Yesterday the bluetooth modules worked a little bit but the connection always fell off. After searching for a while and getting some help from Benjamin we fixed it. So now the two projects are fully finished and ready to use. We also started to make a controller for the second AEPS and tried to put some sounds into it. 

Thursday: 19 / 05 / 2016 

 Today it’s all about testing and fine tuning. We finished two more drawing cars (the little one and the jeep). Now al the three cars are ready and good to go. 

Meanwhile, we produced the basics for the second AEPS (amazing electronic painting sphere). Today the order of the bluetooth modules also arrived and started connecting them to the AEPS. 

Wednesday 18 / 05 / 2016 

 Let’s start with last night, we did some late night prototyping and improved the ball mechanism. We moved the battery under the board instead of above to lower the center of gravity. And removed 1 battery (2 was overkill). We’ll upload a video later today. 

Meanwhile, the other half of the group spend some time on the back-up project (now a 2nd project). The RC with the markers attached to a spinning cross making random drawings. 

Now lets talk about what we did today. We removed the “anti-flip disc” from the ball mechanism and made some new custom wheels. It seems that the center of gravity is low enough so that the robot flips but always lands back on its “feet”. Luckily we attached all the components to the board this time. 

Tuesday  17 / 05  / 2016

We completed the wooden canvas field. We sawed the barriers and set them up. We now have a complete mobile wooden box. However, we still need to put some plastic in the box so the paint won’t leak out of it.

We got the robot working again. We called him AEPS: amazing electronic painting sphere. We still need to get the bluetooth controls working.

We also worked on the exterior of the balls. We first tried to fix the shape of the iron salad bowls by putting a MDF piece on top and then polish the shape into the bowl. Then we tried using a thin type of plastic with the vacuum forming machine and the salad bowl as form shape, but that turned out to look strange, so we used PET instead. That turned out a little better but we still had to polish it, which was alot of work. We tried taping the plastic halves together and the ball rolls but it’s not a complete perfect sphere. An got us a plastic ball from the AVA shop, we might consider using those instead. Since the shop is quite nearby, it would be easy to buy more of those.

Today we tested en try to find solutions to make the colorballs move, with the wheels already laser cutted and ready for the test tomorrow.

We assembled the first rc en tried to find a type of paint distributor.
