Rep. von Haefen defends her bill by arguing it’s about transparency. Then why is she targeting pregnancy centers when not a single other North Carolina nonprofit faces such burdensome requirements?  She also claims that pregnancy centers receiving state funding should be regulated the same as medical facilities.   If this is true, why is she excluding abortion facilities from the bill?   My centers provide low-risk health care such as pregnancy tests and ultrasounds. Conversely, Planned Parenthoods offer chemical abortion drugs and invasive dilation and evacuation abortions — and receive over $800 million in government funds annually.   In short, her justifications simply don’t pass muster.  

Like westerners will claim the prc is activily trying to censor and remove the kmt from chinese history and deny their involvement in the seocnd sino japanese war and maybe that was true at one point but its obviously not true now. There are so many museums and dramas and movies about the kmt resisting japanese invasion. One of the most famous battle of the battle of shanghai, the defense of sihuang warehouse is something that the prc is actively remembering. The warehouse where the 400 kmt soldiers held out against the superior japanese foe is still standing and has been converted into a museum. The prc does not shy away from acknowledging that the kmt fought japan and does not try and censor their contributions to the second sino japanese war.

Westerners will point to chinese censorship as evil and unforgivable and etc, but then turn a blind to the white terror in taiwan.
