“technology is in evolution”
…Difficult relationships come into our lives for a reason. No one would choose them, certainly. But if we let them, they can teach us how to be flexible with others and more forgiving.

Read Women Book List 2016 Review
I started out the year with a pretty hefty goal: to read through a list of 74 essential works by women writers, and though at some points it has been a struggle, I have stuck with it! I was realistic with my expectations at the beginning, knowing that I would not finish this list in one year, but I am proud of the fact that I have not given up. I’m dedicated to continuing in 2017.
In 2016, I read a total of 32 books (all written by women): 25 from the reading list above and 7 that were not on the list, adding up to +10,000 pages! Despite some rough patches, I have managed to cross off one third of the list!
My top five books from the list (in no particular order):
The Handmaid’s Tale - Margaret Atwood
The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath
Beloved - Toni Morrison
Wild Swans - Jung Chang
Ain’t I A Woman? - bell hooks
(bonus- I had read them before) The Diary of a Young Girl - Anne Frank and Wuthering Heights - Emily Brontë
Here’s to another year of reading women!

2016 had me fucked up. So cheers to 2017… the year for big booties and flawless dark skin 🍻

Remember when Islamophobia wasn’t conservative policy? 15 years ago, George W. Bush reached out to Muslims across the globe, highlighting the dangers of Islamophobia. (x)
How the FUCK have we gotten to a place where we feel wistful for G.W. Bush?

Jennifer Lawrence laughed about desecrating native land in Hawaii — and is being dragged for it
if you currently identify as straight or cis, and you want to explore the possibility of being something else, thats okay and good. if you explore and/or identify as non-straight or non-cis for a time, and then find out you actually are still straight/cis too, that is also okay.
in all honesty, i’m not really saying this for the people who will end up still cis/het. like, it is okay, 100%, but most people will support you in that eventual identity and it will likely be easier to get there than it will to question initially.
the real reason im saying this is because so many of us are scared of being wrong, of “appropriating the experience” and whatnot, that we don’t ever actually get the chance to self-reflect and see if our questions may be genuine.
it’s okay to question your gender n orientation, it’s okay if youre wrong - its okay if youre right. cis and straight are not the default, and you deserve to explore all of your options. you deserve to find your most sincere, true self.
