💖 How do they say ‘I love you’ without really saying it?
He is less precise with his wording since he’s speaking from the heart rather than analyzing his words beforehand. Often he’ll stumble over his words. He’ll speak at length about how he deeply cares about the person without specifically saying ‘I love you’. It’s a difficult emotion for him to admit, since he’s not quite sure what it means for him specifically.

“No, it… it’s fine.” He looked down past his shoes, yellow LED spinning as he considered her words. “I enjoy our talks. They remind me of Amanda – the program of her, anyway. It’s… different, but I… I like being able to have an outside perspective.” He glanced upward then, his LED returned to its blue hue. “Since I’m no longer part of the Cyberlife network, my mind has been… empty. If I am to be honest, it has been… difficult.”
Was that the right phrasing? Amanda frequently found issue with what he said, correcting him. He found that he had more of a voice now than he had, but at the same time it felt strange to make choices for himself. He missed that feedback, that voice that directed him towards the objective. Now he had… nothing. No objective beyond existing.
It felt lonely.
He didn’t wish to linger on that thought. There was a flicker of red at his temple before he changed the focus to her. “You aren’t afraid of me, knowing who I am?”
