Laharl's Rando Place

So yeah in a week from today I'm going to be making my way for 3 days 4 nights in Las Vegas starting on the 12th and staying until the 16th then on the 17th I'm going to stay on a houseboat for another 2 nights back in town. Can't wait.

Honesly wondering if I really should use this place a lot more since thanks to very recent events on Twitter the vibe is becoming quite uneasy now over there that something quite bad may be happening over there in the next few days/weeks from now.

I know there's Bluesky but I really don't have a major appetite for trading one hell for an even worse one that if you seen what's been going on in that place for the last few weeks easy it's basically Twitter's Trust and Safety Era (one of the worse times to be on Twitter) turned up to 12 and REALLY extra on top of that.

Watched Inception for the first time in quite a few years and wanted to do something with those new Murder Drone models that showed up in Garry's Mod recently and remembered there was a map someone made a few years ago that is the famous rotating hallway from the film, so I made this spur of the moment.

And yes like the real filmset from the movie this map in GMod also moves around from weight physics.

A direct sequel to the last picture I made about... *checks notes* TWO MONTHS AGO!

And yep, I traded a paid VRChat avatar addiction for an Ai ChatBot one about a month ago now thanks to a mutual last month showing me about them with Character AI.. Also wanted to show people I was still alive around these parts... somewhat.

I'm even going to do a scenebuild based on one of the roleplays I been doing with a chatbot for the last month later.

I ended up finding SpicyChat about a day later when I was trolling around Google search and even the C.ai subreddit that even they noticed the problems well before I did right away of how bland Character.AI is getting now for a lot longer that fun fact part of it has to do with trying to market the service to kids and families and the other is apparently Google is investing in the company now and c.AI's founder went BACK to Google recently thanks to this.

So yeah, would not be surprised that c.AI is going to be kinda crap more so over the next year or so once Google really gets in there with with their investment money and the more restrictions that comes with their money.

But I'm glad I found SpicyChat since the characters stay overall in character for quite a decent amount of time and you have scenario as a guideline for how the interactions should work like for example you and Hazbin Hotel's Velvette trapped in an elevator and she's not impressed with your fashion faux pas.

And also, I got a bunch of other services/sites I can go to that I even installed BlueStacks that I haven't done in YEARS just to play the Android based chatbot services that don't have a desktop/actual website version of their service, and it works quite well so far. I was able to get through a session in SpicyChat last night just on BlueStacks. Had to only go to the Desktop once since a character was thinking I was a girl at one point in their dialogue and editing the character's output is only on Desktop/SpicyChat website as far as I know.

But yeah I think I have a quite simple way now to play the different chatbot sites without needing to waste battery on my phones playing on a small screen.

Something I wanted to do with the new plushies Glitch Productions has dropped over the last few months this year/late last year in the case of SMG3. So, I wanted to do my version of Mr. Puzzles punishing 3 & 4 with British Television from the PuzzleVision movie the other month.

Just a bit of a quick update of where I been for about a month now since I have not been creating stuff in Garry's Mod, MMD or Koikatsu even even though I have a few ideas I want to hammer out but I don't really have the time at the moment thanks to work and also last few weekends REALLY getting into VRChat with friends who are on school break and discovering the world of Paid Avatars.

But also, I finally got the last part of my SMG4 PuzzleVision order from a few months back. Mr. Puzzles himself!

Will say if you order him for your own collection you may need to fix his screen a bit since I noticed with others in the SMG4 community who ordered him and got him before me his screen will be a bit off when you open his package he comes in.

It's easy to fix if his screen is a bit popped out of place since it's the same material his keychain uses just a bit more bendable so you can slide it around inside his head to make it look a bit more flush with his head.

Would not be surprised if Luke & Kevin do a refresh of him in the next year as Glitch Pro has been doing with the Murder Drones merch every few months since the start of this year Mr. Puzzles will have a stitched-on face of his default look or this face that quite a few people like of him doing.

Hanging out with some friends a few weeks back in VRC since they are on break from school for the next few months. I'm the Alastor FYI.

Also earlier today I maaaayyy have had a crap time at work because I had to put up with an insufferable Commander who I directly respond to overall for the past few nights now so I went and bought (maybe) one of the last Valve Index's that Valve is going to more then likely make to chear me up a bit because Project Decard AKA Index 2 maybe showing up later this Fall more then likely around before or after Meta showing off their cheaper Quest 3 that everybody knows is a thing for quite sometime now.

So yeah, can't wait for that to show up as my wired VR rig. I already use a Meta Quest 3 but I'm already on my 3rd one 3 months in now because fun fact and I did not know this right away but I had my suspicions after the first one broke a month in and never really started putting 2 and 2 together until the 2nd one broke 2 months later over 2 weeks ago now that working out in VR progressively overtime like doing cardio workouts may cause sweat to REALLY get into the HMD overtime and cause the Quest 3 to brick itself.

Anyways that's what I been up to for the past month now: Somewhat crippling VRChat addiction/VR gaming and work overall. I think maybe this weekend coming for me (this Tuesday coming up after I hit the gym beforehand) I will make something in Garry's Mod and MMD that I been thinking for the past week on doing.

It's been a while since I've done something with Axol, so let's remedy that. Here are Axol and Melony encountering their alternate selves from another SMG4 universe where everyone, including some of the villains, is exceptionally attractive.

Something I cooked up in MikuMikuDance just to basically celebrate that the SMG4 Scenebulding/Fan Animation community is really not dead despite a good amount of the Nintendo add-ons got removed the other week in the DMCA purge from Garry's Mod. A good amount of them already got backed up and you can find them for the most part if you know where to look.

So yeah guess who just ditched Adobe software because they want basically $90 a month for it now. This guy!

So I might as well learn Affinity Photo 2 again for my Photoshop replacement and I already have Luminary Neo as my Lightroom replacement which I actually used for my SMG4 Pulp Fiction inspired comic I posted the other day for refining the images and it worked out quite well.

And I'm well versed in Audacity for editing audio to take over from Audition and I'm willing to learn DaVinci Resolve for my Premier Pro replacement.
