to my main favourite mcu characters. These two characters means the world to me. One taught me loyalty and one taught me strength. Endgame did Natasha dirty. And I still haven’t move on from the fact that Chris Evans won’t be playing Captain America anymore. I miss them and I love them with all of my heart.

Review / My Opinions / Thoughts on the movie.

SPOILER ALERT

Avengers Endgame was indeed the end of an incredible era. I wasn’t expecting what I saw yesterday (most of it). There are some things that I really appreciate in this movie but also some that I don’t.

These are just my opinions and thoughts on the movie you don’t have to agree with me.

!! SPOILER ALERT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED TWICE !!

Let’s start with the things I agree and appreciate.

THOR

I like how Thor was potrayed in this movie. It makes perfect sense. This man lost everything. His father, mother, brother, best friend and half of his people. I’ve read a post by user @xevolehtlla that Thor often potrayed as a sex symbol. In this movie, Thor isn’t just some dumb good-looking god. It makes the audience care for him and what he feels, what he lost. Seeing him as a person with feelings, who lost someone. Just like everybody else. Audience get to care about him deeply even after the fact that he became fat. I think it’s important that audience see him in this perspective and not the other way around.

IRON MAN

I agree that Tony should be the one to do the snap. He’s the godfather of the MCU. He’s the one who started the MCU and he should be the one to end it. The funeral of his had everyone (not all because there’s no Natasha ofc but still). Even Harley Keener from Iron Man 3 was at his funeral which I really appreciate. And I also think he was given the proper funeral so that’s really a way to end it.

CAPTAIN AMERICA

My man is worthy. HE’S WORTHY I REPEAT HE’S WORTHY and WE STAN SO HARD. The scene where he finally get to lift Mjolnir just made my jaw dropped. I DIDN’T EXPECT THAT. Maybe because I got so much in my mind that I forgot about how worthy he is than the other avengers (except Thor obv) because of that scene in Age of Ultron where he almost if not slightly lift Mjolnir. That scene is definitely one of my favorite of this entire movie. Other than that, I know people talk a lot about this one but I’m just going to say this. I actually like the ending for Steve. He finally got that dance with Peggy. He finally got to live the life he supposed to live. The life he deserves to live. My man deserves a rest. My man deserves this ending. When the scene where the older version of him appeared on the screen I was crying my eyeballs out. I didn’t saw this one coming too. Before I walked into the theater I was prepared for him to die (I DON’T WANT HIM TO BUT I WAS PREPARED NOT FULLY BUT STILL) this scene caught me by surprise. Now, even though I said I like this ending, I am not fully satisfied with it and we’ll also talk about that in a minute.

COMIC REFERENCES

Okay, I’m just going to list this one out. These are some of the comic and previous movies references I recognized immediately while watching the movie.

HUMOR

The humor in this one was perfect. The jokes are just the type that audience can’t stop laughing about. I truly appreciate the humor in this movie despite the fact that this movie made me suffer but still lmao.

Now let’s begin the things of I hate and disliked.

BLACK WIDOW

Her death. I hate how she died. It’s just so unfair. She died without saying goodbye to any of them (except Clint obv). “See you in a minute” was the last thing she said to all of the others. SHE WASN’T GIVEN A PROPER FUNERAL. SHE DIDN’T SAY GOODBYE Y’ALL HEAR ME? IT’S UNFAIR.

STEVE ROGERS & NATASHA ROMANOFF

Look, I’m okay if they want to kill off Romanoff but with the right way. She should’ve died in Steve’s arms or even just in his presence. He should be there when she died. She should’ve gave some last words to Steve. Oh, why you may ask? Steve and Nat had been through everything for a long time together. They created a powerful bond and trust since Captain America : Winter Soldier. She betrayed team Iron Man in Civil War to help Steve. She knew Steve wasn’t going to stop. She knew how stubborn Steve is. She knew him. She never leave his side after Civil War till Infinity War. Hell, even in Endgame. They went on rogue for years. For her to die without him there is just not right for me. Steve was everything she had. Marvel had been hinting to us of these two and still didn’t give us what we deserve.

AVENGERS ASSEMBLE

Listen, the scene where Steve said “avengers assemble” definitely gave me chills. But this scene still has a few people missing. Loki, Vision (there’s no way that I can think of to bring these two back but I still felt the last fight scene was incomplete without them) and of course Natasha. I cried imagining Natasha by Steve’s side. Ready and not leaving his side when he said assemble. I just can’t at that point. I was crying watching the last fight scene because there’s no Natasha. It doesn’t feel whole. The scene where all Marvel ladies in one shot is of course incredible and empowering but there’s no Natasha. EVEN GAMORA IS IN IT EVEN IF IT’S HER PAST SELF BUT STILL. IT’S NOT COMPLETE AND I’LL FOREVER BE MAD ABOUT THAT.

CONCLUSION

I still don’t know what I feel about this movie. This movie gave me mixed feelings. Maybe I would love this movie if Natasha was there during the final battle and she get to give her last words to every other avengers especially Steve. Nonetheless, phew. What a way to end an era. MCU characters and cast means everything to me. It’s crazy how they’re just comic characters but they felt so real at least for me. I put my heart and soul into these MCU characters. These characters helped me through many rough times. I just couldn’t find the right words to describe how much they mean to me. And I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way. Can’t believe it has been over a decade.
