I like video games

It is very perplexing to think about how the Inquisitor lost their arm because of the anchor from the orb of Fen’Harel. And they never bring it up in Veilguard as “exhibit A” on reasons why Solas has done serious damage, even when they were dear to him as a friend &/or Vhenan. Rook never asks the Inquisitor about their arm, even as a passing example of why Solas is beyond saving and has to be taken down.

I find it very confusing at the notion of being “scolded and chastised” for “having main character energy” when playing an rpg video game with a character creation no less. Perhaps I misunderstood, am I meant to be playing solely with the mindset of whatever the writer(s) of this protagonist had in mind and therefore any choices and paths taken in the game are obsolete. Because when a game feels so obvious doing whatever the writer of this protagonist wants you to do because it’s their self insert who is the hero of this story everyone adores and faces zero opposition thus the end result is dissatisfaction and boredom there lies the crux of the problem. Also a complete lack of understanding for the source material to the point it genuinely does not make any sense.
