I had no idea there was an International Fairy Day!!!

Then happy Fairy Day to the one and only Silky, the most magical fairy in all the land 🧚‍♀️✨💚 Nobody does it better.

And I believe Nicola's story will also be the first two-parter in the anthology series. Usually, they are only one episode per storyline if I'm remembering correctly.

The photos already have such an intense atmosphere, and the more we learn about the project, the more ambitious it sounds.

And yes, this is actually the first time I Am has told one story across two episodes instead of separate standalone stories, which makes me think there's a lot they're trying to explore with Helen's journey.

Did you know they filmed a 72-minute handheld take!? Absolutely insane. Just thinking about the focus and stamina that must have taken from everyone involved makes me tired.

The topic feels incredibly relevant right now, and you don't have to look very far to see why. Sometimes all it takes is opening the comments section on certain posts.

The fact that Nicola helped develop it, tells me this wasn't simply a role she was offered and accepted. It's a story she genuinely wanted to be part of telling.

It already feels very different from anything we've seen her do before. One of my favorite things about her career is that she never seems to take the easy route or repeat herself.

October/November is where my head is at too.

Nothing official of course, but that timeframe feels pretty plausible to me.

Once again Nicola has me impatiently waiting for a release date.

The "developed by Dominic Savage and Nicola Coughlan" part keeps blowing my mind! And Joe is fantastic!

Sometimes I think we've all gotten so used to Nicola announcing something new every five business days that we forget to step back and look at the whole picture.

Then you see it all laid out like this and it's like... hold on???

Alongside all that, there's the advocacy work, the fundraising, speaking up for causes she believes in, using her platform to help others, and consistently showing up when it matters.

But I always find it so lovely that Nonso, who worked with Nicola on The Magic Faraway Tree, is constantly showing up to support her. Every new project, every new announcement, there he is cheering her on.

I always love seeing actors genuinely excited to share a project they're part of.

I've been waiting for I Am Helen news for months, so seeing Joe repost the first look almost immediately made me smile.

Now please, Channel 4. The release date!!!

Cannot wait for this!

Not to be dramatic but I've been waiting for I Am Helen news for MONTHS.

I feel like we've been talking about this project forever and now suddenly we're getting actual stills and details and it's all becoming real.

Can we all agree this isn't just another role for Nicola right? She helped develop the story, which makes me even more curious to see what she wanted to say through this project.

And can we talk about the vibes of these photos for a second? The tension is already stressing me out in the best way!

I need a trailer. I need a release date. I need Channel 4 to stop playing with me.

I love that people who knew her years before Derry Girls, Bridgerton, before the magazine covers and red carpets, seem to describe the same person we see now: funny, open, determined, and incredibly serious about her craft.

And I think that's why her success feels so satisfying to watch.

What I also loved is the idea that talent alone isn't what gets you there. Plenty of talented people exist. What sets Nicola apart is that she combines talent with hard work, good instincts, professionalism, and a genuine ability to connect with people.

I think the most impressive thing isn't how much she's achieved. It's that she never seems to have lost herself along the way.

I genuinely love that for her.

I've thought about this a lot over the last couple of days and I think I've said everything I have to say on the topic.

Different people clearly have very different experiences in fandom spaces. Mine has largely been positive because I've been intentional about who I follow and engage with.

I think Nicola has proven she knows exactly what's best for her career. Fandoms can be great for building community, but at the end of the day, actors build careers through their work.

She's always spoken so fondly about Bridgerton and the opportunities it gave her, and I don't see that changing. But at the same time, there's only so much one show can give an actor, especially when you've already had your lead season.

What I've loved watching is how she's used that momentum. She didn't just disappear between seasons and wait for the phone to ring. She went and did theatre, films, TV, Big Mood, now OMITB, and who knows what else is coming next...

As for the fandom side of things, I think we're plenty vocal when it actually matters. Every project announcement gets a huge reaction, people show up to support her work, and that's what counts.

The rest is just background noise.

We all get excited about the projects, the castings and the career milestones, and every time there's a big spotlight on her, she finds a way to use it to support causes she believes in and encourage people to help others.

It's one of the many reasons I'm such a fan of hers. The talent is obvious, but so is her kindness.
