When Laurence, Tharkay, and Granby get together, I start kicking my feet. THE trio of all time. I just know the next scene is going to be good.

I love love love how H.G. Parry writes fmcs, especially how *real* they are. Both Biddy and Clover are so intelligent, clever, and kind, but they also have their flaws which we can totally understand. Most especially I like how both stories don’t kill their idealism although they certainly could have. They still both fight for a better world. I think especially as we see some reduction of women in media it’s nice to read books like these.

First time upon meeting both Granby and Tharkay and I was like. This guy. Now this guy will be a favorite.
