these are two more tem-verse characters of mine that live in the same era as nihil and melanie! they’re greek dragons, based off of a multitude of snakes from the region. they’re equipped with long, trailing wings that give them an advantage in speed, and have long, twisting horns similar to the greater kudu. along their jawlines and elbows are bunches of spikes that look near fur-like.
this unnamed breed presents with sexual dimorphism—males tend to have longer, more extravagant horns and bushier jaw-elbow spikes, whilst females have smaller horns and are much, much longer than males. some have noted that females can be a bit more snappy. the breed itself is lightweight to middleweight range, coming in around 10-13 tons.
aella is named after the greek myth—a fierce amazonian warrior—who’s name literally translates to ‘whirlwind’ or ‘storm-swift’, which fits for this lovely lady. while not snappish, she’s very quiet until presented with battle. outside of skirmishes, aella is oftentimes found staring off into space or at other dragons with a critical eye. she’s not very easy to get on with at first, very aloof and distant, but once someone’s asked about something she’s interested in—battle, books, and strategy to name a few things—she opens up and will become something of a chatterbox.
adonis, on the other hand, named after the greek god of beauty, is extremely loud and can be found constantly talking to other dragons like he’s known them since hatching, whether he’s just met them or not. he adores music, and showing off with his big wings and aerial maneuvers. when not chatting, adonis is usually with his sister, coiled up together and speaking of nonsense, or sometimes not speaking at all.
nihil and melanie find these two to be somewhat odd, but while nihil doesn’t quite mind them, melanie decides they are rather interesting and need to be studied when interacting with others outside of their flight group.
aella and adonis hatched from twin eggs, which had been bought by the united states and shipped over to introduce new blood into their lines. the pair are inseparable, can speak a handful of greek, but mostly speak english, and are captained by lucas prewitt and hannah thompson!
