this list comprises the majority of my active gaza funds spotlight campaigns. i am actively spotlighting 15 campaigns. seven of them are critically stagnant, and three more are in danger of becoming critically stagnant.
despite the urgency of the situation, not a single one of my fifteen spotlight campaigns received anything from anyone other than myself for TWO DAYS!! please do something. if you can't donate, please share. i don't make these posts for fun, and i don't use the phrase "critically stagnant" lightly. don't just wait for someone else to take action because nothing gets done that way.
individual posts for these campaigns are generally ignored, which is why i've moved to using this pinned post instead. it simply takes me too long to queue up a bunch of posts people will just scroll past. please don’t ignore this, you have the opportunity to throw someone a lifeline and do some real good. even if you don’t have any money, a reblog is free and can help get more eyes on these campaigns. none of them are on tumblr, to my knowledge. nobody sees these campaigns unless people reblog posts about them or make their own posts.

Hi, I am managing the Chuffed campaign of my friend Omar's family in Gaza.
Right now, as they are still not able to leave the strip, Omar’s family is having survive in their tent while also in precarious health conditions. After a hard pregnancy his wife Aisha gave birth to a little girl who is in need of diapers and medicines. Omar’s father is also very ill, battling with sultan’s disease and rheumathisms in the hospital and right now he is in need to have an operation that is going to cost 650$.
In all of this the internet connection is very unstable so they cannot always be in contact with me and access money so it’s very important especially in these days to collect as much as possible so they can live as best as they can while there is no contact with the outside world.

Every night I sleep in Ireland while my family sleeps under bombardment face starvation, fear and the cold of winter in tents.
People sleep to rest.
I sleep to see nightmares.
Every night feels like a horror movie I must live, not watch.
I wake up tired, shaken, and broken by the images my mind creates.
I had an amazing stable life with my family in Gaza before the war turned our world upside down.
I was a young, ambitious lecturer at the Islamic University of Gaza, teaching English and linguistics. I loved to motivate and empower my students so they can reach their full potential.
When the war broke out, I was displacement with my family multiple times in places I did not know existed in the Gaza Strip. Sometimes we literally ran for our lives under heavy bombardment and learned what a near-death experience actually meant.
Five months into the war, my Irish university managed to get me out of Gaza. Ever since I evacuated and left my entire family in Gaza (parents, siblings, nephews, nieces), I woke up every day so tired from horrible horrible horrible nightmares, wishing to end my life.
But then I remember:
If I give up, who will help my family survive?
Who will help me get them out when the crossing opens again?
I saw the constant bombardment every day live in the news, and my family was dispersed in different places in the Gaza Strip, running for their lives, struggling to survive.
The misery and suffering continue until today after we lost our house and the cold of winter if freezing them all, especially my elderly parents and young nephews and nieces.
HOWEVER...
Hard times do not only create strong people; they also reveal the goodness and humanity in others.
And Gaza needs the world’s goodness now more than ever.
My family lost their home.
They now live in tents, shivering in the cold.
Rainwater enters every time it rains.
They have no electricity, no clean water, no cooking gas, and no safety.
Survival itself has become a battle.
I have been dedicating all my efforts to helping my family survive in the current situation in Gaza and apply for reunification visas with the support of my college and friends here in Ireland.
Every single member of my family counts the seconds until the day we all reunify in Ireland and live a safe, normal life like we have been dreaming for more than two years
This can only be possible with your kindness, support and humanity.

In the shadow of conflict, our family has faced unimaginable hardships. The passing of my father, a victim to the cruel grasp of hunger and inadequate healthcare, left a void in our lives, underscoring the fragility of our existence here. My brother, Samer, battles bipolar disorder, a condition exacerbated by the ongoing war and the severe shortage of essential medications. Without access to the necessary treatment, his life is at risk, and we live in constant fear for his well-being amidst the chaos that surrounds us. These personal tragedies have deepened the urgency of our situation.
Every day is a struggle for survival, and each night is filled with prayers for a brighter tomorrow. We hold onto hope, believing that one day the clouds will dissipate, and we will find the peace we long for.
Our home, which was a sanctuary for us, was destroyed, forcing us to live in a state of uncertainty and fear. We have lost the laughter of our children.

We have been flooded by the rain, us and our little children, Our tents were flooded. There is no roof to protect us from the rain
Most of our bedding was soaked. We drowned in just five minutes of rain.
Storms are common for Gaza this time of year, but with hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced from permanent shelter even a normal amount of rainfall can inundate residents and exacerbate already dire conditions.
Yesterday we woke up Friday morning to inches of water flooding their tents, after heavy rainfall overnight left their shelters and belongings soaked with no way to dry them out.
Please save my kids from rain and cold weather, we need a new tent and it costs 1000$ please do your best to support us 🙏🙏
