The Art of Subconscious Illusion.

Her love rose over to me

and dragged away my misery.

A wind of feeling, felt too freely,

could only be taken sincerely.

A canvas full of art,

an arrow in the heart.

And grave dismay falls over me

for having chosen

the end before the start.

As sharp silence calls,

as it flows through the halls

and

through paper-thin walls,

I am enticed to wander as time stalls.

And as the mirror of night

reflects the night,

the shadows of all memories shine bright.

And between trap doors and old sores,

my soul roars through my pores.

There are days when the world is on fire with greatness.

When the sun shines and one feels magnificently alive.

When one is all smiles and laughs and humor overfills.

When one is calm and relaxed and nothing bothers. No stress or negative thoughts that take over. No depression. No sadness. No emptiness.

When one hugs thy mother and brothers and can feel love.

When one has so much emotions to show and they positively burst out.

When one kisses thy lover and her eyes dazzle you and her smile embraces.

There are days when the world is fine. Where the soul and psyche are at peace with one another.

Then, there are those other days

where it is just the complete opposite.

No mental energy to smile.

No emotional energy to show positivity or express love.

Just emptiness and deep sadness of who knows what. Just questions to the universe, wondering what the purpose is. Dissociating from this world. Within your own complex mentality.

And then such family wonders why,

And your lover takes it to heart,

and your friends think your pride has gotten the best of you,

and they all end up hurt and they all end up confused as to why you're being such way. And then you're blamed for something that is completely out of your control and something that you just cannot simply explain. Words cannot explain it and so they just can't understand. It's useless to explain.

And so we just go on during those gloomy days wearing the mask we have created for our own selves to blend in with our internal demons.
