Projection and identification are living ways of experiencing the life of another (...) When, in my opinion, if you're venting about being a people pleaser and not being able to stand up for yourself, that's more reflective of you than your partner tbh. If your narcissistic partner doesn't respect your boundaries, that's abusive behavior, not narcissistic behavior. Self-priority isn't abusive either. You need to communicate what you want from a relationship, and if the other person doesn't comply, then they're disrespecting you in a way that is not correlated/causated by narcissism. That's just selfishness and toxicity.
