Spinel folded his arms with a hum. Thinking back was pointless, there is still much he can't remember.
"No... But I plan to find out. I feel that I need to know they are safe."
Please be safe. It's troublesome that he still can't remember their face. Even the dream did not show their appearance. He has decided not to force it, but the frustration burns.

He doesn't even have any proof that these dreams are his past memories. Relying on nothing but a feeling. What a disgrace of a researcher. Though he supposed he couldn't fall any lower.
"I can at least try. I appreciate the advice. You seem to often speak from experience. Is that the case here also?"
Ah, if only he knew. She makes a vague hand-waving gesture, "It really does not bother me, but I appreciate your sympathy. My dreams are often quite strange and vivid, I am used to it." Amalthea makes light of the matter easily and seems entertained at the thought of Exceed trying to use scientific methods to interpret dreams. "The complexity of our subconscious can not be accurately defined, I think. Dreams even less so. They can have meaning in some ways, or be meaningless in others. It is subjective."
A muted pensive sound; Exceed wanted a suitable leader and that meant subjecting someone to malicious psychic influence apparently. "I do suppose it takes a certain proclivity to apathy to lead a large corporation these days." Which is the nicest way she could paraphrase the new-age stereotype of all CEOs being evil. Something that Ophelia had ranted about to her more than once, actually.
"I hope your colleague is safe then, and if you come across any leads, perhaps a Private Investigator could track them down for you."
The conversation still feels a little awkward but Thea doesn't dwell on the sensation, having to reshape her perception of Spinel is ever a work in progress. She passes by him to collect a textbook off a shelf, carding through the pages for some reference or passage. Just to give her hands something to do, lest she fidget.
A shrug, "I journal regularly, sometimes it's just a single sentence of something I've seen or heard that day. It might be ideas or questions I want to seek answers for. I record my dreams too, which I think in part contributes to how strange they can be."
She smiles a little, amused, "I dream I have wings now and again, and that I can fly. Those are some of my favorites when they happen."

Sirena is and can be quite physically affectionate, so she does enjoy giving and receiving hugs. And given that she tends to be larger than the average person, she will give very enthusiastic picks-you-up-to-squeeze-you type hugs. Of course she'd be willing to give a hug to a stranger if they asked politely but generally such gestures are for family and friends. She also really enjoys it when there are others larger than she is and she can hug them and be enveloped in their embrace. It's nice being the little spoon kinda deal, and it doesn't happen often since she's considerably large for a mermaid.

Amalthea: Stress makes her tense and clumsy, dropping things or making more frequent mistakes while writing or typing. She is prone to stress-induced migraines and headaches, which can be crippling and make her irritable. While it's not unusual for Amalthea to be reserved, she becomes even more quiet and less inclined to talk / or be listening when she's on edge or overwhelmed.
Once the fatigue sets in, she'll either combat it with questionable amounts of caffeine or she crashes and just sleeps for a whole day. Taking time to rest, eat a few comfort meals and spend time outside when the weather is nice is how she recuperates.
Ophelia: She gets flighty and avoidant, too much wound up energy when she's stressed out. Her muscles ache and she'll be more inclined to getting sick because stress wrecks her immune system. Ophi retreats into trying to drown out whatever is on her mind, she'll binge through music and audiobooks to keep her attention elsewhere. And that sometimes helps too.
Running, climbing and other physical activities help a lot in managing stress. Followed up by a soak in a hot bath with something cold and sweet to drink.
my most controversial rp take right now is that people on tumblr are so allergic to confrontation and have wrapped themselves up in the 'i don't owe anyone anything' mentality they've deluded themselves out of personal responsibility to their fellow writers to simply communicate and take into account how their avoidance will affect other people.

this is actually something ive been dealing with a lot recently behind the scenes, both in myself and with others. and i wanna emphasize that i totally get being uncomfortable with confrontation. not discounting at all that people have many bad experiences that enforce this negative bias for it.
you do owe people basic civility and respect. the hyper-individualistic attitude that has been so pervasive throughout the recent generations is really harmful to a collaborative hobby like roleplay. you have to learn to be okay with being uncomfortable and having uncomfortable conversations about expectations, boundaries and the like. [it shouldn't have to be said but im going to say it anyway. obviously don't tolerate genuinely harmful behavior like bigotry.]
when it comes to roleplay, i believe that AT THE LEAST if you are cutting ties with a partner and you have active threads/plots, you should be courteous enough to reach out and say: Hey, I'm not feeling this anymore, I want to cut ties and move on. Wish you the best.
Like, it's not difficult to send a quick message and then block as necessary if you want. In an ideal world there'd be a conversation about why the roleplay isn't working out or whatever the incompatibility is but I know that isnt wholly realistic.

Her touch is always gentle, whether that is directing him to shift position slightly or to slide a pin into folded fabric to further mark where tailoring had to be done. It was mostly the store-bought pieces that required hemming and adjustments, as most mass-produced clothing was made to a generalized 'standard.' Occasionally Amalthea steps back to consider Alhazred's overall appearance and check if everything is properly aligned, or she would pick up a sketchbook and scribble down some edit on another piece entirely.
It always did her good to be productive in a creative way. She was clearly focused and content to be doing something with her hands that wasn't related to a computer. The pencil is slipped back behind an ear once she is satisfied with double-checking her measurements. "And you're worth my extra effort," Thea responds in kind, lips curved into a fond smile. She smooths any wrinkles in the soft linen shirt before going through the motions to pull it off him and exchange it for a new one.
The next being of a burgundy color, which is put through similar scrutiny as the last.
A bit of laughter rises out of her then, "I suppose it does, but if it proves to be too much of a bother, you can continue as you already do. I just thought having some options at your discretion would be nice. Change things up a little." And it was all arranged so he could mix and match at a whim, though she kept to a simple palette that she thought suited him too.
She pulls out a loose thread somewhere with a twist of her fingers, letting it fall to the floor without a glance. As much focus as this task demanded, she was relaxed all the while, feeling as if she could properly cherish time with Alhazred without a deadline or danger looming not far around the metaphorical corner. "You do so much for me in return already, and you know I do all this because I want to, and because I love you." Not so shy about saying those words now, but no less tender whenever they are spoken.
A thoughtful expression overtakes her not long after, she reaches up to fix the collar of his shirt. "I know it is not necessary and probably silly too but, would you humor me if I made an outfit for your true self? Even if it's just drafting concepts on my tablet for you to see." She tries to be candid about it, but there is always something special to her, crafting things for her Pokemon.

Watch for these signs in a sleepy Suicune: drooping eyes and big yawns, pawing or making biscuits on various surfaces to test for comfort. The winds that perpetually ripple their mane and ribbon-tails become gentler, slowing down these motions, and eventually stop altogether when asleep. Ophelia is not a dancer, not for a lack of trying when she was younger but she's always felt really awkward about it. She might tap or sway to a rhythm now and again, especially with her headphones on but she doesn't dance. Two left feet, kind of deal. posiedon's bane: a fantastical take on the origins of the fabled legend of poseidon, the supposed weapon that could shift and alter the very tides themselves. it starts with the unlikely friendship between a young mermaid and an orphaned sea king that discover they can communicate with each other. fay's first novel that she self published primarily on her home island of farore, until managing to get it distributed wider [and translated into other languages].
shatter steel: inspired by her own journey to discover and claim her meito, the sword called severing tide. she wrote tales of it's makings, it's wielders and how it became fused with an ancient ocean spirit that still possesses it today. although the truth of any of this is certainly embellished.
skyhold: her most recent adventure story, but more so inspired by various table top roleplaying games. a group of adventurers banding together to climb a seemingly infinite tower filled with challenges, riddles, monsters to slay and treasure beyond any person's wildest dreams. they all face their own personal demons while unraveling the mastermind of skyhold's creation and stewardship.
fay is a huge fan of thrilling fantasy and hero's journeys, which is pretty obvious by the novels she's written. she is definitely someone who has a "conspiracy board" of ideas, plot points, characters, locations and world building set up at her home, with plenty of string attaching between concepts.
