I turned my head to the ground, staring at this calculator. It had fallen, shattered violently into multiple pieces. But the core instrument was still there. It was still working. I picked up the shattered pieces and tried to glue the pieces back together, but it was hopeless.
“That’s okay” I thought to myself “it still works”. Then a sudden gust of wind rustles my heart and I started thinking about all the years I’ve had this calculator for in its untainted form. The things I’ve been through with it by my side. But now even though its functions remain, it will no longer be the same and I will forever be reminded of the mistake that I made. I placed the device on the table and went back to work — It’s just a calculator.
