God I want to finger fuck a boy until he pisses himself
What the hell is he reading? 😭
Sometimes I think I’m entirely off, but then I remember this fuckass monster on the side of the Space Invaders cabinet and I’m like, “you’re not in the game? The aliens in this game have a look. They look like crabs and squids.”
Anyway look at this cool figure of the guy.

I just finished watching all of David Lynch's feature length films. I wanted to commemorate this moment because, over this past month, I've cultivated this profound connection with my new favourite director. I'm sure that a lot people feel the same way. That was the beautiful thing about David - he seemed to draw everyone in with his generous and open spirit. It just feels odd that I get up every day and miss someone I didn't know, someone whose work I'd only skimmed whilst he was still living. Someone whose legacy I was oblivious to until last month.
Two things have cracked me open this summer: going on my solo trip to the Aran Islands in June, and watching Lynch. Both of these things have split me like a peach. I feel so changed by them. Maybe because I didn't know places or films could be so heart-wrenching, so soulful. Both have reminded me of the humanity that exists in the world, and in turn, of my own humanity. Both make me want to be kinder, to love more.
And a good director makes you want to go deeper into the cinematic worlds they orbit. There are some things I'd like to rewatch (Inland Empire! I love you Laura Dern) and a few shorts to explore, but I can't wait to dig into some of Lynch's favourite auteurs, like Fellini and Bergman. I'm also reading his memoir, Room To Dream, which I'm really enjoying so far. I just love the way he spoke and how his mind worked, the way he looked at life. It's beyond inspiring to me right now.
TWO COOKIES AND A COKE x
I think my collection has exceeded its limits...
I think I just realized. The reduction of David Lynch to being quirky and weird and surreal really bothers me because of how how much of his work is ultimately about the impenetrability of his experience and the complex feelings he struggles to communicate or even format in a way other people can engage with. So it's just kind of unapologetically of his own cypher, and simply presents its own logic as it is. Which I believe, with all my heart, is an expression of him being autistic. And if you take his work seriously, that he is communicating something, there is such incredible depth to it. He's just straight up sharing his dreams. His deep thought, harvested from disciplined meditation and mystic introspection. People terminating their engagement with it at "he's so weird, it's funny" just betray how little they're willing to step outside their own perspective and seriously consider an autistic mind with respect, or dignity. Particularly one with such a beautiful, weeping heart. All of it was expressing things he had inside him. Even if he was funny, even if it coincided with comedy, he wasn't a joke. He was a genius.
“One day the sadness will end.
But I don’t think today’s the day.”
David Lynch
You said it man.
I miss David, I lamented I’ll never meet you.

Komorebi (木漏れ日) es el término japonés para la luz solar que se filtra entre el follaje, tejiendo sombras en movimiento. Representa la belleza de lo efímero, como lo son la unión de la luz, el viento y el follaje.

Komorebi (木漏れ日) is the Japanese term for sunlight filtering through foliage, weaving moving shadows. It represents the beauty of the ephemeral; the fleeting union of light, wind, and leaves.
I took these pictures after rewatching the movie "Perfect Days" by Wim Wenders.
