The issue with the season 8 redesign of enchantix wasn’t even the fact they made the outfits less revealing.
You absolutely could redesign the enchantix outfits to show less skin in a way that would still look stylish and keep its elegant flair. That is possible.
No the real issue with them is pinkification.
They made the designs have so much more pink than they originally did. Just piled and piled it on.
They somehow even managed to make Floras design feel pinker. I didn’t know that was possible. To make her of all characters feel too pink.
It’s a shift in aesthetic priorities that really embodies a rotten change in winx’s core.
“Must all be as pink as possible cause girls show. Girls don’t watch things not coated in pink.” Is a mindset something like winx club should be above.
But it’s something that creeped in regardless. Starting with Blooms colours going from blue and yellow to pink and blue. Slowly spreading from there.
It’s a visual indicator of the people behind the scenes talking the target audience less seriously.
It gives them all so much less individual personality.
