because yes, it does give Damian more character depth! it makes sense that the only person that was “destined” to be robin, quit.

and i could go on about this for days, but i actually had these thoughts because i was thinking of how normal Damian’s life becomes, especially compared to everyone else in the batfam.

like, imagine what breakfast is like on a Tuesday morning, where you have everyone exhausted because, just last night there was a massive rouge attack and it was all hands on deck, so now everyone is basically sleeping while eating their breakfast.

and then Damian walks in, fully rested and ready for the day as he sits in his spot, quietly eating. it’s silent for a moment before Damian, not being able to NOT be a little bit of a rage baiter, goes,

“so. Rough night, huh?”

silence rings through the room, all noises seemingly cut off from the world as everyone slowly turn to look at him. At Damian, who was sitting up straight, no eye bags to be seen, freshly showered and clearly wide awake.

like a switch, everyone immediately starts complaining, Dick’s eye twitches as Jason grips his fork with a bit too much intention, and Duke pretends to not notice how Tim and Steph immediately starts planning on Damian’s downfall.

Only Cass, Bruce, and Alfred notice the small smile on Damian’s face as he gets up and announces his departure to class.

it started as a dumb rumor a goon started after swearing up and down that, while Red Hood was shooting at them, his eyes started glowing green.

it then snowballs into other people, including civilians, sharing their stories, all claiming that the Red Hood would “crash out” (as explained by one teenage boy) and get glowy eyes.

of course, when Duke overhears this at school, he immediately jumps in, telling a random friend group that he once saw Red Hood curse out a wall, yelling about his madness.

The group continues to spread the rumor, now with a name known as “Pit Madness”

When the rest of the batfam hear about this, some assume it’s an actual thing that Jason hid from them. Bruce, Dick, and Tim all start brainstorming ways they can help Jason, with Damian sitting in the back, shaking his head and groaning into his hands.

Of course they would later figure out it was just a rumor started in a random school that just got out of hand. (Duke was sweating in the background of that family meeting, hoping they didn’t know it was him that instigated it)

batfam leave the Batman Beyond universe, and after traveling through some interesting ones-

(“Fuck off Dick, we all have a universe where one of us goes insane.”

“maybeee, but in that universe you went insane protecting Dami!!! How cute!”

“I don’t appreciate it, let me pass away next time, Drake.”

“I hate everyone here.”)

They manage to find themselves with the Reverse Robins.

At first, they imagine that Damian is the oldest, naturally, and Dick is the youngest. They go about with their day, having to stay for an extended period due to some unknown problems.

It was all going well, with only some slight problems coming from Damian and Tim after seeing their counterparts actually being close again.

That was until the other Damian mentioned someone.

RR!Damian: Yes, well, we don’t typically spend time together, but due to this particular circumstance, i’m assuming that the rest of the family will be coming.

Jason: Wait. Rest? I thought we already met everyone?

Tim, muttering softly: 2,3,4… yeah no i count everyone here? who’s missing?

RR!Damian: My older brother. I’m surprised you do not know of him?

Dick: i definitely wouldn’t have missed another head in our manor

RR!Tim: Well, seeing as our universe has our ages scrambled, I think we can safely assume that, due to Terry being the eldest here, he would be the youngest for you guys.

Tim: that makes- so much sense actually. That would mean that, depending on how old he’s here, he would either still be a baby in our universe, or not even conceived yet.

Bruce, light shining in his eyes: I can finally hold one of my sons as a baby. When we get back of course.

Jason: So. Nobody is going to talk about how we met Terry before and just assumed he was just an alternate universe? But this confirms he’s in ours??

Duke: I’m still focused on how he’s supposedly adopted, but he looks exactly like young bruce. nobody? just me?

RR!Jason: ? Terry isn’t adopted? He’s Bruce’s son!

they end up in batman beyond’s universe, where they first meet Bruce, and only Bruce.

Tim: So you’re just Bruce but way older? Nothing else is different?

BB!Bruce: Well not quite. I never adopted so many kids in this universe. I only “adopted” Richard, and Timothy, but neither currently accompany me.

Jason: Damn, so no me, Steph, Cass, Duke, or Damian huh?

BB!Bruce, like the liar he is: I cant say I recognize those names, no.

Dick: Wait, so you’re all alone?

Steph: That’s kinda depressing, no?

Bruce: Hes not all alone.

Jason: How do you know?

Damian just silently points his sword to a dark corner, where a Terry McGinnis walks out, holding popcorn and a cup of tea.

Terry: Yo, how’s it going- oh hey new people wow

Almost everyone groans at the sight of him

Damian: Seriously Father? Another boy you’ve adopted?

Terry: Woah hey, i’m not adopted? Bruce is more of a boss if anything

Jason: Oh god, he hasn’t even realized he’s a wayne now.

Dick: So, what’s your name? And how’d ya get adopted?

Terry: I’m-

Tim: I’m guessing he got adopted Jason style

Terry, starting to feel his eye twitch: Wait-

Steph: No, i’m gonna say he joined in Tim style!

Dick, ignoring the spluttering boy: Nah, this Bruce dropped out of Batman for a while now. No way he could have figured out his identity.

Cass: let him talk

Everyone goes quiet as they turn to Terry

Terry: geez, you’re my favorite. Anyways, my name is Terry, and im NOT a Wayne. That’s it. Now if you will, i’m going on patrol. Bye!

Silence.

Jason: He’s not adopted? talk about self control.

Damian. Wait. Who is he going on patrol as.

More silence.

The reason it's called "Justice League of America" is because all of the major places for the heroes are in America, including Metroplis? That the only JL members not born in America are Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman + Aquaman (though there are probably more)

I'm not trying to be rude, I am just honestly so confused

(OR: i’m bored and, after taking a long nap, decided I will officially place Gotham in where I think it is, and then immediately gave up and went to go take another nap)

So first of all, yes, typically Gotham is set in New Jersey! However, i personally don’t really see Gotham being in the US just because of the different canon british accents and Gotham in general giving UK

So I looked it up (woah research) and i found out that, in the making of Gotham, the creators mixed up New Jersey, London, NY, and Chicago??? sooo lots of US States but trust the process

there is no process i just refuse to acknowledge that gotham is in the US lol

if i’m being honest, i generally don’t really place gotham in one country just bc, but i do get like UK vibes (but that’s just because i love imagining the batfam with different british accents)

honestly, i feel like Canada would be better placement thinking about it??? because Gotham would be close-ish to metropolis (obviously lol) which gives major southern vibes

which (urgh my head hurts) would make it lower canada, so just add Gotham somewhere in the vicinity between Canada, US, and UK

Bruce originally planned to take only Damian to America, just to scope the town that had been rumored to be holding the main factory for a new toxic chemical. However, his kids decided that they wanted to venture with them, and soon they all landed in a [random] southern state.

and. it’s a huge culture shock. because let’s be honest, the bats are not ready for the south. the bats are not ready for the north. they are not ready for the east. they are not ready for the west.

Immediately, the people were nicer, way nicer. This wasn’t surprising, as they came from GOTHAM. which yes, is known to be the most dangerous city, and that reputation led to lots of mean people.

(In reality, Gothamites were actually really chill with each other, the only reason being that nobody wanted to create another villain of the week)

But these people? They casually greeted others, even strangers like Bruce. A random teen would come up to Dick and compliment his outfit, a grandma would come up to Jason and ask for his help (which did not make him tear up, shut the fuck up Tim.)

A kid would accidentally bump into Bruce, only to instantly apologize profusely and be called back from his mom. Group of teen girls came up to Steph and Cass to ask them where they got their clothes from, only to talk for more than two hours at the mall the batfam were visiting.

Multiple more interactions happen, but i’m too tired to write them.

The biggest difference they experienced?

The high schools.

anyways hc that Dick, Jason, and Tim all act like mothers who realize their baby is growing up. Similar to that one scene in the Simpson where it shows teenage Bart, and Marge begs him to say one of his old insults again, but he doesn’t want to because he’s grown up

Dick, noticing Damian’s homework on his desk while he was bothering him: What? Why do you have high school homework?

Damian, confused because he’s halfway done with high school: ??? It’s my homework what??

Dick, with tears now forming in his eyes: No it’s not. Jeez tell me no it’s not you’re still in middle school what. TIM GET IN HERE BACK ME UP

Tim enters, uninterested but later gets confused because? Yeah?? Why is Damian doing high school work? He’s just a little kid??

a few years ago, when Damian was brand new to the manor and stressed out at everything.

Nobody knew how to help him calm down, and while Tim and Steph kept their distance, with the occasional annoying older sibling acts, Cass and Dick worried for Damian.

So, Cass left the manor around 3:16 PM and came back a few minutes later, a bag of chocolates in hand.

Dick, not wanting to know where she got them in such a short time, quickly appreciated her idea as he could see Damian tilt his head in curiosity.

(And if he could hear a little kid crying to his dad that a shadow stole his candy, he would just make a mental note to drop off more in the kids bedroom)

As such, Damian initially refused the chocolate, but later grew accustomed to it. As time went on, Damian ate chocolate exclusively from a well known vegan brand, which didn’t usually appeal others.

Which is why Damian was so confused on who would steal his chocolates??? Like??? Nobody even likes them??? This had to be a crime against him.

However, when he asked around, nobody had a clue to who stole it. Everyone denies stealing the chocolate, (obviously) but weirdly, not a single person had an idea of who it could’ve been

Dick asked if Jason was at the manor, because if so it probably would have been him, but when interrogated, Jason refused and said he had dropped by, but hadn’t stayed for long and didn’t even know he had chocolates. “And.” he added, “I hate those damn things. Can’t even call the chocolates.”

Damian then went to Tim, who simply stated that he was working on an annoying case. He had gotten frustrated and went to bed a few hours before the chocolates had been eaten. (Damian didn’t bother to point out he had found the chocolates eaten at 5 in the afternoon)

After asking Cass, Steph, and Duke all together; they reasoned that maybe he had eaten them in his sleep????? Which Damian doubted was even possible in the first place, leading him to be suspicious, however the three had alibis as they had all spent the day hangout out with their friends. “Our teenage friends, you know, going outside instead of staying indoors all day?”

Annoyed, Damian went back to his father, who could only offer to help him solve the ‘case’ really quickly before heading to a meeting.

The duo sat in the couch together a few hours later, both equally stumped as not a single clue had popped up. One by one, all members of the bat family step into the investigation, until everyone is in one of the living rooms, arguing with one another about who stole the damn cookies, friendships are broken, new ties are made, promises are destroyed.

Bruce has to break up a fistfight between Tim and Jason.

Damian rubs his hands against his head as he tries to soothe his headache. Whatever, at least it would last only today.

The transition from that to nobody living in the manor a few years later would have any sane kid go crazy

it’s the same for when the youngest child grows up to live in an empty house in their teen years, when they got used to it being full

Damian would look at the counter and remember when Jason forced him to help him make cookies for Dick’s birthday

He would look at the desk where Tim would pass out sometimes from overworking, his empty coffee cup still there on the side of the table

He would pass by the bedrooms that used to be filled with his siblings, numbly looking at the room where Steph and Cass have sleepovers in

Duke was the only one who would have stayed for a bit longer, but even he would start looking for some apartments in his free time.

The Batfam takes every holiday very seriously. No they don’t i’m lying, they joke every holiday, and it’s the same four people trying to actually make plans within the family. (no i won’t elaborate on who those four are)

However, when it comes to Christmas, they have specifically set rules in every. single. aspect.

Gifts? Rules

Decor? Rules

Invites? Surprisingly lenient in that!

Clothing? SO MANY RULES

(no Dick, you CANNOT wear that sweater. Duke i see you looking online, take it OUT OF YOUR CART!)

Elaborating in the gift rules; Gifting items aren’t required but everyone does it due to the immense amount of guilt tripping everyone does after christmas.

(Jason forgot ONE gift and Steph still brings it up whenever he gets a bit too sassy with her)

Typically, everyone gifts at least 2 per person, one is something bought from a store, no card limit as long as it’s reasonable. (Rule was made after Damian tried buying a whole country. It was for himself.)

However, the second gift would be either self made, or personally altered to fit the person it would be given to. It isn’t an actual rule, being more so something that would be tradition after Cass made everyone cry with a personal painting. (She had teamed with Damian that Christmas)

The second gift would always be more personal, the batfam choose to open those in more private areas in the manor, meeting in sentimental rooms and even privately gifting those to each other prior to the exchange.

After a long series of events occur, the bay family (minus Dick for reasons i’ll explain later) all meet Jake and their reactions are basically the same

Jason: So you’re the ‘funny guy’ for your police department?

Jake, trying to brag on the weird new people who randomly walked into the precinct: Yeah, EVERYONE find me funny so you know how it is

Jason: Oh god Bruce was right this is another Dick

Jake, still not knowing who Dick is: Wtf why does everyone like calling me a Dick??

Tim meets Jake when he’s out arresting someone with Charles, he thinks the exact same thing, except he doesn’t interact with Jake. Just watches him.

Jake: No way, was that Red Robin?!

Charles: The restaurant? Yeah i think there’s one near here, Oh! we should totally go—

Jake: No Charles, the vigilante.

Jake is a huge fan when it comes to superheroes. Specifically, the Gotham type. He would always keep up with the latest information, provided by the one and only Gina.

So when Gina told him that an emo furry in a batsuit was rumored to be in Brooklyn, he immediately went out searching with the excuse of going out to bring some snacks.

He didn’t expect to actually meet Batman, but he did, right behind the bakery Jake always gets pastries from.

He also didn’t expect Batman to call him a Dick almost immediately after he started talking, but Rosa did always say to never meet your heroes so?

Bruce ends up in Brooklyn after Tim informed him that a huge deal would end up happening around that area. Bruce was prepared to fight, jump over buildings, not depend on his grappling hook as much, etc.

He wasn’t prepared for the obvious difference in lighting, as he usually ventured out at night, and the lack of his partners.

Bruce, as usual, was relieved when he heard the upbeat chatting of his eldest. Good. They would then work together to gather information and—
