Not my Cabbages!

So, I think the breakup between Toph and Lin's Dad (Im pretty sure his name was Konto) was a messy one.

Personally, I think Konto was like a secretive Head Mob Boss who fell in love with Toph but couldnt change his ways for her. Crap of course caught up to him and he got in trouble with the law and she ultimately dumped had to him.

Toph, of course was heartbroken, but she was still the head of police. She however had some love for him and pulled some strings to save him from going to jail. But she had to personally tell him to leave republic city forever or go to jail for life.

After he left republic city she was very depressed, but later found out she was pregnant with Lin. Toph was of course terrified.

The first person she told was Katara. She truly confided in Katara about her fears and how she felt she couldn't be as "motherly" as Katara.

Toph felt like she already messed up by not giving the baby a father and a "normal family".

Katara of course reassured her, telling Toph that her baby was already loved by so many. That her and Aang, Sokka and Suki would be there for Toph and her baby.

I think the whole gaang really came together to support Toph. So much so that Toph even lived on air temple Island the first couple years of Lin's life.

Lin and Tenzin really grew up with each other.

And Aang and Sokka were father figures to Lin. Zuko was almost like her cool uncle who lived super far away.

I also I like to think that when Lin got frustrated with her mother' s earthbending teaching tactics. Aang would be patient and teach her in a more relaxed pace. I also like to think Katara was almost like a second mother to Lin. She would always watch Lin with Bumi, Kya, and Tenzin when Toph was at work.

I think when Lin was about 7 her and Toph moved into the city. I think Lin and Aang, Katara and Sokka were still very close to Lin but saw her less.

Like dont get me wrong. "im confused" DOES NOT = Yes. Aang was wrong on that! Period.

But like I dont see anyone bring up the fact Zuko who almost fought a man who talked to Mai AT A PARTY out of jealously.
