Chishiya x reader, Book 2 of “Captured in a Dream”

You touch his face with your unharmed hand now as you can’t hold back some tears, and you’re so ready to break the rules once more.

But there’s one more thing you know for sure.

With Chishiya on your side, you’ll be able to face whatever this game has prepared for you.

The kiss tastes salty from your tears, and they just won’t stop running as you place one more kiss onto Chishiya’s soft lips, and another, until he turns his head aside with a chuckle and gently places you down on the ground again.

“Alright, that’s enough. Look at you, crying like a toddler.”

“Missed you too”, you say with a grin as you wipe away the tears.

I’m going to go on a little rant here because I am pissed, and I am tired of seeing these kind of posts every so often. 

I am not a Niragi stan, he’s not even my top three favourite characters. But I am absolutely livid to see some people occasionally popping up on the tag calling fans ‘sick’, ‘batshit crazy’, or saying there’s something wrong with them for liking Niragi. 

We all watched the same show. We all saw the same character. We all know what kind of person Niragi is. We don’t need you to tell us that he is a r*pist, m*derer, whatnot. WE FUCKING KNOW. 

NO ONE is parading around asking Niragi to r*pe them. NO ONE is parading around asking Niragi to r*pe someone else. NO ONE is saying “WOW! Niragi is so hot because he fucking r*pes people and I like that”. NO FUCKING ONE IS CELEBRATING THE FACT THAT HE IS A R*PIST. WE ALL FUCKING KNOW HE IS A PIECE OF SHIT HUMAN. 

But do you also know what else? HE IS FICTIONAL.

Shitty people exist in real life, shitty people can exist too in fictional life.

People like Niragi because the actor who portrays him is fucking hot. Look Sakurada Dori up. If someone in the tag is thirsting after Niragi, it costs you zero dollars and zero cents to let someone enjoy something they like. If they thirst after him because they support his actions, then you can fucking go after them because I will be throwing hands myself.

And have you even read the imagines and fanfics people put out? I bet not. I bet you saw Niragi’s name and thought, “Fucking weirdos liking a r*pist”. BECAUSE NONE OF THOSE HAVE R*PE AS A POSITIVE THEME. Why you gotta come on here and shit on everyone else? 

Some aspiring writers/artists could see your post shitting on them and think, “Well, I’m never going to write/draw now”. I’ve been one of those people before, I went through people shitting on me before, and I gave up on my passion because of that. 

“Oh but that’s not my intentions. I just want to teach people morals”. Sometimes your words have more power than you think. And trust me when I say, ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING ONE IN THIS FANDOM CONDONES WHAT NIRAGI DID. NO FUCKING ONE. 

Also, when you post and call out people for being shitty because they like a character, maybe don’t turn your replies off? Many of these posts do and when you do, I just instantly think you’re posting to make yourself look morally superior to everyone else and you’re not here for a civilised discussion.

It was not long before they had their first game over. Or well…two.

The other man and the old man, they could not keep up with the thinking of Kuzuryuu, Chishiya, and Daimon at the same time. Too caught up in themselves, they eventually lost the game without fully grasping what was going on. 

Though, as they played another round more, Chishiya was close to the same end at -9 points. 

Two new rules were added since the death of the other two players, and they were troublesome. If they were to choose the same number, it would be an invalid choice and they would lose a point. However, if one were to pick the exact number, losers would be deducted two points. 

Daimon was finally becoming useful.

Having finished his own game against the Jack of Diamonds, Chishiya looked up at the blimp above the church. Since it was still floating high up in the sky, it meant that the game was either still ongoing or…Kurenai had failed. He believed in her, however. Chuya Kurenai would never fail.

Just as he thought so, the door to the church opened and out walked Kurenai, a little skip in her steps. As soon as she laid eyes on Chishiya, she ran up to him and threw her arms around his neck. He smiled a little, wrapping his arms around her waist and held her tightly. 

-Five minutes ago-

“Did you divorce her? Or did you kill her?”

Akihiro gripped onto the arms of the chair, gritting his teeth. How? Losing the game was one of the expected results, but Akihiro did not understand how he was losing. Why was he unable to catch her lies? She did not lose a single point after her initial shock, how? She must be cheating somehow.

The game was moving slowly, but Kurenai was starting to have fun. She enjoyed watching the corners of Akihiro’s lips twitching in frustration, how his brows would knit into a frown one second before relaxing the next when he remembered that he was currently playing a game. 

“Curious?” she asked, smiling a little. She was kind enough to wait until he recovered from the shock before speaking again. “I really don’t hate my brother. I think he’s a pussy, but I don’t hate him. Do you know what our names mean?”

“Please, do tell.”

“So we just talk?” Kurenai asked.

“That’s what the rules said.”

“What about?”

Ito Akihiro, it had been only a minute into the game and Kurenai already hated his guts. He answered her questions, though they were not much of an answer in any way. Perhaps he was still trying to gauge her and not give away too much in case she could use it against him in the game. 

She went quiet for a little, just observing the man sitting opposite her. Ito Akihiro, she was sure she had heard of that name before, but where?

Walking on the streets of Tokyo did not feel the same as before. 

Before Borderland, it was just life. People passed people, but one would not necessarily slow down for another. Arriving at Borderland, they walked around in search of life, of a way out. Now, entering this so-called ‘second stage’, it seemed like everyone was moving with more caution. No one knew what to expect anymore. 

With a backpack each, they had enough supplies that could last each of them several days. These games were spread all over Tokyo, it seemed a little impractical to be coming back to Kurenai’s apartment and heading out everyday. Not to mention, they had no idea what these games entailed. The normal card games they had been playing would never last longer than a night, but these were face card games. 

Kurenai looked up at the blimps every so often, trying to think of what games they could be. Would it be possible for her to clear a game with Chishiya? Would it be smart of them to participate in games together or go their separate ways? With their intellect, there would not be a single game they could not clear together, but if the rules only allowed one to live, they would be in quite a conundrum.
