            ❛ Suddenly    I    understood    .  .  .    or    rather    I    thought    I    understood  . ❜        A    lighter    pause    of    the    throat    ,    smoke    gathers    in    flames    ,    dousing    the    linings    of    empty    eyes    in    a    warmth    ,    a    quiet    sort    of    conviction  .        ❛ I    thought    for    sure    ,    I’d    be    the    first    to    get    killed        ──────        I’ve    always    hated    fights    of    any    sort    ,    I    didn’t    even    like    tussling    around    when    I    was    in    that    place    but    ,    ten    years    later    &    I’m    still    alive  .    We    all    had    to    learn    to    do    things    we    never    thought    were    possible    of    us    .  .  .  ❜    A    moment    taken    ,    once    more    ,    to    gather    the    thoughts    that    roam    ,    to    shift    in    her    position    lightly  .        ❛ You    don’t    have    to    answer    me    .  .  .    I’d    just    like    to    know        ──────         did    you    manage    to    escape    with    everyone    you    wanted    to    ? ❜

       HER QUESTION stung at her heart a bit, as it ached for all of those she had to leave behind. Her mind wandered to those from what she called home. Escaping from Lambdia wasn’t much of a problem leaving with those she bonded with. But Goodwill Ridge? She didn’t have a choice.    “  ..... I did not.  ”    She admitted, gaze rather solemn. 

      SHE stares for a moment, eyes drifting over to her friend. It was as if her muscles stiffened out of response, fingers curling into a fist. She wasn’t sure about Hyde’s situation, but given everything she couldn’t stop the thoughts or wonders if he had already been ‘adopted.’

      ADOPTION. What a joke. The very thought made her angry, being used to ship off to some other facility as their little lab rat. A deep breath was inhaled, moving a hand to place on top of Sean’s head.
