Imperial-Haiku

we clutter ourselves / with needless and empty things / like cruel jealousness

the view from heaven / is really hard to forget / just please don’t look down

the warmth of winter / can ruin unready hearts / brace for the cold dear

poetry has teeth / it chews and swallows our words / a pure inky mouth

we eat rotten fruit, / heart-shaped plums and red apples, / juicy and eager

in this dark winter, / we seek strength in brittle hands, / warm, soft, and tender

self-love must exist / without it, we are all lost / enjoy life or else

her eyes have become / my favorite song, sweet brown / featuring soft tears

her tongue is abstract / an art formed from a pink haze / paint with me darling

we embrace and die / lives spent in tender pale arms / clutching at wishes

she was someone else / someone who couldn’t find love / someone who broke hearts

the window opens / and the soul finds true relief / butterflies and wind

animalistic / fight with sharp claws and wet fangs / be your truest self
