you get to say â and î which is weirdly addictive. i sometimes say câine, mâine, pâine under my breath while waiting for the bus

it’s pretty phonetic and the pronunciation isn’t too difficult

you will get an absolute bucket ton of new music. seriously, there is so much good romanian music out there and it sounds super catchy. my romanian playlist is twice as long as my english one

you get lots of new youtubers, comedians etc (btw you’ll never forget the first time you get a joke without having to look it up. bonus points if the joke was made by a guy dressed up as satan visiting a romanian middle school)

it’s an eastern romance language with influences from slavic languages and loanwords turkish, albanian and hungarian, while preserving some grammatical features from latin, making the whole thing a wonderful linguistic marvel
