I haven't seen the actual movie, but I've seen posts on social media about it so I have a good idea on what the plot is. Since I haven't watched it yet, I don't really know, but it seems like a movie I would love.

Your second question is a very good one aha, it actually has me thinking a bit 😭 Well, if I were to actually meet Imomali in real life, I think my chances of him legitimately loving me would be close to 0. Since, well, I am another man just like he is, and I (think?) being gay is haram for muslims, along with our age difference. But if I were born a woman instead, and were his age, Id love to do that, I'd love to meet him. Sometimes I do wish I was born a woman, only for Imomali's love however, not in the transgender way. Maybe that's weird, I don't know.. 🥲

The second part of your second question is intriguing too haha. I guess it depends. Would he still be happy with what I picked, or would it be sort of like an arranged marriage thing? Well, I would not want him to be unhappy at all. If I could choose the relationship between him and I, of course I would. I would want to marry him, but I am unsure if he'd feel the same, and would not want him to be unhappy. I mean it would be hypocritical of me to say I love someone and force them to do something they do not wish for afterall, ahah.

Witnesses reported that some of Imomali's relatives attended Kvas' funeral, but it has not been confirmed yet by any news stations.

The funeral service was held at the Andrei Rublev Church in Elektrostal.

Kvas' funeral was an open casket one. He lay there wearing a black hat and a blue turtleneck to conceal the st4b w0unds.

Imomali did not act in self-defense, he st4bb3d Ilya for revenge/retaliation.

For Imomali's action to be classified as self defense, there would need to be an ongoing thr3@t to Imomali's safety, which there was not one at the time he had came back from his apartment with the kn1fe. He could have chosen to stay at the apartment and be safe, but he willingly chose to return for revenge. Also, the flare and pepper spray was used against Imomali before he had retrieved the kn1fe, not after he had come back, so there was no ongoing thr3@t to his safety. This makes it so that Imomali's actions cannot be declared self-defense.

Self-defense is about protecting yourself from ongoing danger, retaliation/revenge is responding to past harm that was done. If the danger is over (it was) and you have a way to avoid further harm (which would have been to stay at the apartment), the right to self defense ends there. Therefore, Imomali did not act in self-defense, he acted in retaliation.

Personally, I believe he wanted revenge more than it being self defense. After he and his brother had gone home to retrieve the kn1fe, they were already away from the group and away from the danger, so self defense was no longer necessary. But upon Imomali's return, I believe he was getting revenge since the group had fired the flare towards him and the pepper spray.

My take regarding whether or not Imomali should have stayed in the apartment or returned to fight is that Imomali should have stayed at his apartment. It would have prevented the death of Kvas (his d3ath wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but still), prevented Imomali from getting any jail time, prevented all of the public backlash/drama, and would have ensured Imomali's safety in case anything were to have gone wrong for him.
