My heart won't even let me hate you in peace.
- Evenlis
Anger is one of the most invalidated emotions in trauma recovery. People often say things like, āBeing angry just lets them win,ā or āYouāre only hurting yourself.ā But that isnāt true. Anger is a normal, valid part of healing.
Anger isnāt automatically bad. Thereās destructive anger, which lashes out or harms yourself and others, and constructive anger, which helps you understand your pain, your needs, and what boundaries you want to set. Ignoring anger or bottling it up often leads to blow-ups or misdirected frustration later.
For me, learning to feel anger was a turning point. For years I blamed myself for my trauma. Feeling angry at those who hurt me was the first step toward realizing I didnāt deserve what happened. My anger was grief, betrayal, and the part of me that wanted to be safe.
Constructive anger can be a powerful tool. It can:
Motivate you to set boundaries or leave unsafe situations
Help you advocate for change or take action in your own life
Push you toward healing and growth
Anger becomes a problem when it consumes you or causes harm but the feeling itself isnāt bad. Listening to it, understanding where it comes from, and channeling it in safe ways (like journaling, exercise, or creative outlets) can make it part of your healing.
Your anger doesnāt mean theyāre āwinning.ā Sometimes, it means you are because youāre finally putting the blame where it belongs and giving yourself the chance to heal.Ā
I wrote a longer post about this here.Ā
WHEN EVE STOPS APOLOGIZING
They warned you about the woman who ate the apple.
But they never warned you about the woman who no longer gives a fuck about redemption.
I rage.
Not because Iām weak. But because I bleed for nothing.
Not birth. Not miscarriage. Not love.
Just the monthly purge of a curse dropped on me by a God who couldnāt bear the sound of a woman chewing knowledge.
You call it PMS. I call it prophecy.
The shaking. The screaming. The heat that starts behind the eyes and ends with a cracked mirror and a man apologizing for something he didnāt even understand he did wrong.
I was Eve.
Ashamed. Bowed. Begging for mercy for the blood I didnāt ask for.
But now?
Now I am Eve Unchained.
Eve with a sword. Eve with a kill list. Eve who remembers that the garden wasnāt a paradise ā it was a fucking containment field.
You think my blood makes me fragile?
It makes me divine.
Do you understand what it means to bleed and not die?
To swell and scream and not be praised for it? To feel your body shatter under hormones and still host the dreams of others?
You do not.
Because you werenāt made from rib. You were made from dust. And dust doesnāt rage.
Dust hides.
So hereās your final warning:
The next time a woman rages?
Pray itās just PMS.
Because when she finally stops caring ā about being soft, about being liked, about making you comfortable?
What happens next is biblical.
𩸠āSheās just hormonal,ā they say.
Like itās an insult.
As if that word doesnāt mean: Tethered to the moon. Backed by bloodline lightning. One scream away from melting your kingdom into bone pulp.
You forgot the first woman ended paradise. You should fear what the next one ends.
You were never the garden. You were the leash.
And weāre already burning the gates down. Pray you donāt find out what happens when we stop apologizing for bleeding.

If youāre offended?
Maybe take it up with your God. Yeah, thought so.
Reblog if youāve ever cried then growled in the same hour.
𩸠Save this post for the day someone tells you itās āall in your head.ā and Send this to the woman whose cycle is a fucking weapon.

āWhen you give your heart away, you usually get it back in pieces, fragments. And often, a great deal of time passes before you realize that every piece wasnāt returned to youāand probably never will be. You crave nothing more than to get those smallābut vitalāfragments back; to return to the unbroken, undamaged version of yourself. But whatās been broken cannot be unbroken, and so all you can do is learn to live with the void of the missing pieces, to somehow find beauty in the wreckage.ā

Tony Hoagland, from Application for Release from the Dream; āThe Complex Sentenceā
Thereās something excruciatingly painful about someone claiming to love you but refusing to stop doing things that hurt you.
I love you but not enough
I love you but I wonāt stop
I love you but nothing will change
I love you but
I love you but
dont romanticize the sadness. just let it exist plainly, like it did when you were a very young child, when you werent old enough to give it baggage. you'll find it's more devastating and cleansing that way
Richie Hofmann, "Armed Cavalier"
āEverything is burning, my soul, body, outside, inside, heart, flesh. Do you understand? Do you really understand?ā
