Hood shit.

Ten years ago a fire swept through my childhood home . Claiming every aspect of my youth, the sanctity of home life and whatever ties I was too afraid to sever with this placed I still called “home.” All that is left is an empty lot, and not too fond memories. The land was sold by the city in order to repay the fees for it being out of and leveled. I found this out after I found the deed to the land and gained knowledge it was to be left in trust to me and my siblings after the passing of our great grandfather. Would have been nice to have been able to hold on to it, but I guess it’s better off now in someone else’s hands. Maybe someone else’s home will be here in another 10 years or maybe it’ll still be a vacant lot. #VSCOcam
