I’m calling out for every fangirl out here on tumblr.

I wanna ask you this question, have you ever fell in love for a tv series so bad but it has cancelled?

This situation hurts like hell right? The excitment you get to watch the next episode isn’t there anymore. The story you’ve been loving didn’t have a proper ending, and you end up confused and wondering what would’ve happened if the show wasn’t cancelled.

There’s a tv series called Stitchers. It’s about a girl called Kirsten Clark. She works with NSA and her job is to “stitch” into the minds of the dead to investigate murders by using their memories.

It has a very interesting storyline, and I’m telling you without any exaggeration: Each and every episode of Stitchers is mind blowing! You can’t ever get enough of it.

The characters are mainly smart, super hot, and most importantly they really care about each other.

Stitchers is one of the best crime solving series that I have ever saw. The cast and crew are super sweet to us the fans. They really give us the feeling that we’re family.

So I’m asking you to take some time and watch few episodes of Stitchers. You might like it. In fact, I believe you will love it as much as I do. Tell a couple friends of yours, your family, and everyone you know ..

Help us to get Stitchers season 3.

I’m personally asking you for help to not let this show get cancelled.

Stitchers has received, to be frank, a lot of shit. I was browsing through articles and such from when it first premiered, and comments were terrible. People complained about many things from the first episode, so I just want to talk about this show from the bottom of my heart, specifically for people who don’t currently watch it.

This discussion/review/explanation thingy is spoiler free, because I’m obviously trying to get you to watch it, so read on!

So you’ve got your plot overview above, but some frequent comments I see are such as:

“So, it’s an iZombie ripoff?” No! iZombie and Stitchers have similar base concepts: solving crime through the memories of dead people - but that’s basically where the similarities end! Stitchers is, in the end, a procedural show. iZombie, which I did like, turned into more of a zombie show than anything else. I’m going to be completely honest here when I say that iZombie lost me in season 2, and even by the end of season 1. They dug too deep into the side story and made it the main plot, whereas Stitchers remains a procedural with a subplot that’s equally as intriguing as its episode-to-episode crime plots. This is not to diss iZombie - their zombie cure/whatever (sorry, like I said, it lost me) plot seems like it is very intriguing if that’s your thing - but I’m just making the point that, because of their diversion from a procedural, the differences between the shows continue to grow over time. Plus - more personal opinions here - the characters in iZombie were well-acted and occasionally connected with me, but the characters from Stitchers instantly captured my heart and I feel all the feelings of my precious little babies now <3 But, anyway, this brings me to the next big concern

“The lead is so boring and robotic!” That’s because she is, initially, supposed to be! It seems like a lot of people are turned off from the show after watching the pilot because of Kirsten’s personality, so allow me to explain. Kirsten and her “temporal displaysia” condition introduce a character who is awkward and cold because she doesn’t understand the concept of feeling emotions on a regular basis, or, really, at all. But, fear not! You aren’t dealing with a robot! One crucial part of the show is called “residual emotion”, which deals with Kirsten feeling the emotions of the people she stitches into (yes, similar to Liv from iZombie’s personality swaps, but not to the same degree, and approached from a very different angle). So, you get to see Kirsten feeling instinct and emotions under a variety of situations, in addition to the fact that she is finding a family in her newfound friends/coworkers, which are all perfect ingredients for a show when combined with a character that is ripe for development.
