“You did what?!” My best friend Paul exclaimed, his voice somehow managed to cut through the loudness of the cramped hallway we were walking through, a few heads turned.

“I asked her out” I responded casually. I was meaning to tell him during break but I had to get some last minute work done for english class in the library.

“Why the hell?! You don't even like her?!” He said in a bewildered tone, though he was less loud now. He probably noticed the stares from the others in the hall.

“Look I doubt she’ll say yes, besides, I mainly just asked to one up Sylvie” I replied as I leaned against the wall outside our english class, our teacher wasnt here yet.

“And if she does?” He asked as he crosses his arms, fixing me with a disappointed glare.

“She wont, trust, and if she does.. well, who knows, maybe things will work out” I answered casually. I didnt get why he was getting so worked up over this. Just then our english teacher, Mrs. Rory, comes down the hall. The both of us and the rest of our class that was present at the moment began to head into class.

I sat down at my normal spot at the back of class by the window, but instead of Logan doing the same, he goes across the room and sits next to Santa by the door. Weird. Was he really that upset? I signaled for him to come over, but he turned his head and started speaking with Santa, completely ignoring me.

Class started to begin, Mrs Rory had staryed to take our attendance, and I was still unable to get Logan to at least look at me, I couldn't understand why he was so mad, it wasnt like me and him were together. I hated when he ignored me.

“Yes”. Said a voice from next to me, I turned my head to see who it was that had just uttered one word at me out of nowhere. It was Luna, in my attempts to get my best friend's attention, I hadn't even noticed her sit down next to me.

“Yes, what?” I asked, a bit confused

“Yes, ill let you take me out on a date” She replied as she sat down.

That made me pause for a few seconds, I hadn't actually expected her to say yes, my bain seems to short circuit

“Yippy”..yeah, that was the word that out of my mouth.

“You can pick me up saturday, you chose where we go, I suggest you buy me flowers” she said as she took out her notebook and pen from her backpack.

“So your just gonna assume im free saturday?”

“Are you?”

“...Yeah, what are you a mind reader? ”

“No I just happen to know that you have no life-” Mrs Rory chose to begin her lecture and stop me from giving my response, if this was any other class, I probably would have whispered back anyway but Mrs Rory had no chill, and I was one of her least favorites.
