Sometimes I feel like I can't do anything right, everybody is better than me and I'll never get anyone to truly connect with, like Hoeru.

I know there's thousands of stories that talk about this and how to deal with this feelings, but I love the way Gozyuger talks about this:

Be cocky.

Find something you are good at, doesn't matter how small, irrelevant or stupid it is, and name yourself the best one to ever do it. "You're good at making coffee? Now you're the No.1 Coffee Maker!" "You're fast at cleaning windows? Here comes the No.1 Window cleaner!"

Be proud of who you are, if you don't like yourself, be proud of even the smallest thing you like about you. "You like your hair? Get ready to meet the person with the No.1 hair!" "You think that small scar on your hand makes you look cool? You have the No.1 scar!"

Even if people make fun of you, take pride from that, be the No.1 outcast! Be the No.1 loner! The No.1 loser!

Take pride from something, anything, no matter how little or stupid you think it is, be cocky. If you don't do it, who will?

In one corner you had some of the greatest warriors in the universe, ninja, samurai, super soldiers, knights, you name it. On the other corner, 5 broke idiots who could barely keep a job. Armed with nothing but their guts and each other, they pride themselves of being the No.1 Sentai Team.

Take that small spec of self-steem you still have and force it to grow back to a normal size, even if embarrasses you, even if it hurts a little, take control of your life back. Even losers deserve to have a little pride.

You will eventually find people that truly connect with you, who actually believe you're the best at something. But nothing will happen unless you actually believe it first.

So keep saying you're the best, make it your mantra, a prayer, a catchphrase, whatever, but keep saying it until you trust this truth as much as you trust the Sky is blue.

Of course, don't be a douche, but still, be cocky.
