so at first i thought maybe some of the shinigami do tend to use their death notes as diaries and i still think that's possible but here is another thought: ryuk got laughed at for writing names in there so he told everyone he was journaling. which gives him the perfect excuse to conceal the insides from other shinigami so they don't know he tried to kill them LMAO

i like the tiny things demonstrating light is not actually nearly as confident as he tries to be on camera (even though being confident on camera is literally worsening his case)

ahahshsjjsj he looks so freaking excited because he was approved of and then L’s like “no.” so now he looks kind of annoyed
