I love when old cow pics do the rounds again, mostly to see my girl 💔 but also because I get to reminisce about the big orange cow directly above her in this photo, who hated me with such passion I could feel her willing me to drop dead every time we interacted. This cow had such a force of will that she could steer a mob from the middle (as opposed to the animal leading at the front), and she used to get in the middle and peer at you through the other animals legs while growling and throwing dirt. She never got over the fact that we dragged her from the outback and brought her to the comparatively metropolitan area of Up In The Hills, where she had to see or hear a person once a day bare minimum. We used to draft her off into her own pen while we were working because she hated me so much. The only way I ever got her to behave was to let Chip really lean into her demonic side and go toe to toe with her, which is an extreme sport in and of its self.

Because people will pay attention to cute animals, here are some of the critically endangered/endangered species housed at the Nashville Zoo!
