A sub is just as powerful (truthfully more), capable, and intelligent as any Dominant. The D/s relationship is a reciprocating partnership that requires both partners to always be there for each other.

It’s not always the Dominant taking charge. Dominants get sick and hit emotional hard times just like any other person. What happens then? Who takes charge and takes care of the sub? The sub does, that’s who! A sub knows how to take care of their partner just as well as their Dominant.

What we don’t see often enough is the acknowledgement of when the sub takes the lead and takes care of their Dominant/partner. This isn’t anything new, the sub takes care of their Dominant daily on different levels and different ways. There’s no loss of an exchange of power. In fact, it reinforces it. Subs are NOT weak and useless. Subs are everyday people who have embarked and committed to an entirely higher level and spiritually deeper type of a partnership.

This commitment to each other is a two way street that both partners take seriously. When life gets hard or things get low, the other is there. If one falls, the other catches. Both incredibly capable, loyal, and committed to each other.

So are subs dead weight? Some can be because there are bad subs just like there are bad Dominants. However, the vast majority are not and should be recognized as being the incredible people that they are.
