Change Agent's explorations and pontification

What a brilliant idea to capture the attention of a large fan base, leverage one's creative talents and fund-raise for a cause that's near and dear to their heart.   Fans and a few of the actors themselves are making @WendyMolyneux  go see  @Entouragemovie four times while raising money for #CureSearch  (an org that focuses on a cure for Pediatric Cancers).

In 10 days, the 'Bob's Burgers' writer has been able to garner 606 donations, media pick up from NPR to Hollywood Reporter http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/bob-s-burgers-writer-raises-798775  and a bit of social media buzz bringing her current total to $32,546 (at this point)  http://dt.gofund.me/arigold She was humbly hoping she could get to $10K. Genius!

I love everything about this.  It's the stuff we dream up when we're brainstorming ideas for brands & entertainment promotions & partnerships and hoping we can

wrap a good social cause to make our efforts mean just a little bit more to the greater good, rather than just marketing fun entertainment..well, at least that's always my hope.

Congrats to @WendyMolyneuxDrake , @CureSearch and even the Entourage Movie team for in inadvertently helping drive awareness and research dollars for a worthy cause. Oh and I'm pretty sure it's not so bad for her own career as well;)  Bravo!!

THE BROAD - A SNEAK PEAK

SKY-LIT at THE BROAD (http://thebroad.org) was an incredible experience. To get a sneak peak into the new contemporary art museum being built by philanthropists Eli & Edythe Broad to house nearly 2,000 works from their collection was very special.

What made it more special is that I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Eli Broad himself. A self-made man who comes from the same town & lived in the same small community I was raised.  From humble beginnings to amass a fortune that enabled collecting & preserving an incredible collection of postwar & contemporary art is truly inspirational.  I admire the Broad's commitment to "The Giving Pledge" (http://givingpledge.org/).  

I hope to deepen this connection and who knows, someday I too could play a part in The Broad Foundation (http://www.broadfoundation.org/) as their support for Education, Science, Art & Civic initiatives is inspiring,

Love this talk..it seems so logical and yet it's a tough sell..I always hear people complain about "overhead costs" of NGO's & NPO's but in order to make things happen, wouldn't it make sense to have the best & the brightest dedicated to the cause?
