summary. The world loses its' shit when you, their beloved popstar princess, stumbles out of a pink limousine looking absolutely fucked by a nameless lover. Jack Abbot and Robby, famed rockstars of the infamous band 'NIGHTCRAWLER' of the late 90s, are the main suspects.
word count. 11.3k
content warnings. fluff, smut (cockwarming, fingering), TMZ and trashy tabloids are used as a plot device here, some slut-shaming, agegap (reader is in her mid 20s, rabbot is in their mid to late 40s) !!
notes. afab!reader, mainly based in los angeles, i took lots of creative liberties for this au. i won't be tagging robby x reader 'til later on but you might see some if you squint. fully recommend listening to the playlist in order rather than on shuffle!
POPSTAR DARLING 'STAR' CAUGHT DISHEVELED EXITING A PINK LIMOUSINE ON SANTA MONICA BLVD WITH A NAMELESS LOVER.
â
The photo of you stumbling out of a pink limousine is plastered all over the tabloids sold in kiosks along Hollywood Blvd. Your stomach drops as you catch the headliner, your pristine reputation torn within minutes.
It isn't like you're a prude; your songs of shitty ex-boyfriends and unsatisfactory situationships have spoken enough to the world that you aren't some naive virgin. But your reputation is clean for the most part, adored by the general public for your class.
Being caught stumbling out of a limo at 3 AM after riding Jack Abbot, famed rockstar of the late 90s and early 2000s, did not match the public's general expectation from you. Except they didn't know it was Jack, at least. The world finding out that you've been regularly fucking a man that may be old enough to be your dad would just add fuel to the fire of your tattered image.
The news had broken the night before but the brunt of the damage didn't hit 'til this morning as you sit in one of the many conference rooms in the company building. Your schedule had only consisted of recording a few tracks, maybe a brainstorming session with some of your writers. A last-minute meeting with your agent, publicist, and a representative of the recording company you're signed under at eight in the morning hadn't been expected.
But neither has been bumping into Jack at a friend's birthday party at a bar in Silver Lake last night. With the private venue and the strict 'no phones' policy enforced, the both of you had thrown all caution to the wind when the older musician had pinned you against the exposed brick walls of the bar. His hands had wandered in the places you needed him most, artfully drawing out sweet moans in time with the bass drops of the DJ hyping up the small crowd. While the two of you might've garnered some interesting looks and playful whistles, there's no question that most things that go on in parties like these stay hush-hush.
And yet Jack had taken your hand, his graying curls flashing purple under the colorful lights, as he dragged you out of the side door and into the empty street where the garishly pink limo that your friend had arrived in a couple hours ago is sitting, abandoned. The two of you exchanged a single look before he's hustling you inside the backseat, snorting laughter when the zebra-print walls greeted you upon entering. But even with the tacky decor, it didn't take away the building lust the two of you held as Jack had all but ripped your panties aside, shoved his cock in you as your knees bracketed his hips.
It had been filthy and quick, sloppy drunk kisses exchanged in the dim lighting while your hand had slammed up against the roof of the limo for some balance while Jack fucked up into you. He finished fast and quick right after he made sure you did first, pressed a careless kiss to your lips while you returned the favor with a bright red lipstick stain on his collar. He exited one side, you went the other. Your hair askew, your dress rumpled and crooked to reveal more leg as you're half out of the limousine. Hickeys littered your neck.
Just in the perfect view of a paparazzi pack (hiding in the literal bushes across the street) awaiting for the perfect shot.
The shot is staring up at you as your publicist slides it across the glass table. You feel juvenile in your comfy hoodie and yoga pants, sitting across your team who's dressed in business casual. Your sleeves fall over your fidgeting hands.
"I didn't think anyone was out there," you mumble as you push the glossy camera shots of you back to your publicist, Dana. The older woman sighs. She's all hard edges, a no-nonsense attitude crammed in her petite 5'3" frame, but she's soft towards you.
"It's alright, hon. You're not a kid anymore, the company knows that," she says, her Pittsburgh accent still as strong as it has been since she relocated to Los Angeles decades ago, with a gentle pat to your hand. "So whatâ a grown woman like you had some fun at a party, no big deal. Our job here is to lessen the public outcry but we won't know that 'til we see how the internet's feelin' about all of this."
Her face is unreadable as she pulls out her iPad from her bag, flicks it open with a few sharp taps, and hands that over to you and your manager, Cassie.
@mariasont : god forbid a WOMAN wants to get fucked!!! in a pink limo, no less!!!
user1: where's her class? it's demeaning
@pearlessance: she's not a child anymore!!! people forget she's literally in her 20s jfc
The comments are plenty and while the negative ones are what steal your attention first, there's a flicker of hope that lights within you when you catch more people defending your actions rather than reverting to full-on slutshaming. You release a shaky breath as you return the iPad.
"See?" Dana hums. "Not so bad. Just gotta redirect the narrative, sweetheart, all there is to it. You just gotta help us out a bit, give us somethin' to gnaw on. Think you can give us the name of your Romeo?"
Your cheeks burn as you avert your gaze elsewhere.

ROLLING STONES PRESENTS: NIGHTCRAWLER, THE PRODIGAL BAND RETURNS.
NIGHTCRAWLER HAD BEEN THE 'BOY' BAND OF THE EARLY 2000S, REIGNING SUPREME ON THE RADIO DESPITE THEIR UNCONVENTIONAL IDENTITY OF OSCILLATING BETWEEN HEARTTHROBS FOR TEENAGERS OR SERIOUS MUSICIANS FOR THE OLDER DEMOGRAPHICS. DESPITE THEIR REFUSAL TO LABEL THEMSELVES, IT DIDN'T TURN AWAY THE GENERAL PUBLIC FROM DIALING THE VOLUME UP WHENEVER THEIR ADDICTIVE GUITAR RIFFS COME ON THE RADIO.
WHILE THEIR IDENTITY HAD BEEN IMPOSSIBLE TO PIN DOWN, IT WAS UNDENIABLE THAT NIGHTCRAWLER HAD STAR POWER.
MICHAEL 'ROBBY' ROBINAVITCH, FRONTMAN AND RHYTHM GUITARIST, WASN'T AFRAID TO SHARE THE SPOTLIGHT WITH FELLOW BAND MEMBER, JACK ABBOT, WHO PLAYED LEAD GUITAR. ALTHOUGH THE POSITION OF DRUMMER AND BASSIST WAS ALWAYS FULFILLED BY A NEW FACE ALMOST EVERY OTHER ALBUM, THEY WERE NEVER FORGOTTEN BY THE FANS.
(PICTURED: ABBOT, ROBINAVITCH â CIRCA 2006, GRAMMY AWARDS AFTERPARTY.)
NIGHTCRAWLER DIDN'T BLOW UP OVERNIGHTâ ROBBY AND JACK HAD BEEN CHILDHOOD FRIENDS, MOMENTARILY SEPARATED WHEN ROBBY HAD PURSUED A MASTER'S DEGREE AND JACK HAD ENLISTED AFTER THEIR COLLEGE GRADUATIONâ BUT AN EXPLOSION OF TALENT IN THE MAKING. WHEN THE SIMPLE LIFE HAD PROVEN NOT TO BE ENOUGH, ROBBY AND JACK REUNITED UPON HIS HONORABLE DISCHARGE FROM THE MILITARY TO FORM NIGHTCRAWLER.
AFTER ONE RELEASED ALBUM (YOUNGBLOOD), THEY RECEIVED THEIR FIRST GRAMMY NOMINATION IN 2006 BUT WON THE YEAR AFTER FOR CALM IN 2007. FROM THAT POINT ON, NIGHTCRAWLER WAS A HOUSEHOLD NAME.
A FEW DAYS AGO, I SAT WITH ROBBY AND JACK AFTER THEY HAD ANNOUNCED A SUDDEN REUNION ALBUM AND TOUR AFTER NEARLY FIVE YEARS OF SILENCE WHEN THEY HAD RELEASED THE SINGLE GHOST OF YOU IN COMMEMMORATING IRISâ JACK'S LATE WIFE AND BELOVED ACTRESSâ AND THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF HER PASSING.
Q: IT'S BEEN SOME TIME SINCE GHOST OF YOU, HOW HAVE YOU TWO BEEN?
J: WE'RE DOING ALRIGHT. TOOK SOME TIME OFF FOR OURSELVES.
R: COASTING ON THOSE ROYALTIES KEPT US AFLOAT.
Q: THAT'S WONDERFUL TO HEAR, DID YOU TWO PICK UP ANY NEW HOBBIES?
R: GOLF, BUTâ (LAUGHTER.)
J: I HATED GOLF. I ENDED UP WRITING LYRICS IN THE GOLF CART WHILE THIS ASSHOLE PUTTED AWAY.
THE TWO MEN CONVERSED LIKE NO TIME HAS PASSED AND ALTHOUGH THEY'VE STARVED THE WORLD WITH THEIR FRIENDSHIP AND MUSIC, IT WAS LOVELY TO SEE THAT THERE HAD BEEN NO LOVE LOST. AFTER SOME SMALL TALK AND HAVING BROKE THE ICE, WE DOVE RIGHT INTO THE MOST AWAITED TOPICS.
Q: SO. A NEW ALBUM AND A TOUR. HOW THE HELL DID THIS COME AROUND?
J: (SOFT CHUCKLES.) IT'S ALWAYS BEEN SOMETHING WE TALKED ABOUT AFTER THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY OF IRIS PASSING, WE NEVER DID STOP WRITING MUSIC.
R: THAT'S RIGHT, WE JUST FINALLY HAVE ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IT'S BEEN TEN YEARS SINCE WE DID SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND WITH HOW THE MUSIC INDUSTRY'S CHANGED SO MUCH, WE DIDN'T WANT TO DEAL WITH THE BULLSHIT OF PROMOTIONS AND TEASING SPOILERS OR HOWEVER THE FUCK ARTISTS DO IT NOWâ
J: WE THOUGHT TO KEEP IT SIMPLE. ANNOUNCE OUR NEW SELF-TITLED ALBUM AND OUR PLANS FOR A TOUR, SIMPLE AS THAT. WE'RE A COUPLE OF OLD MEN NOW, WE CAN'T KEEP UP WITH THESE YOUNGSTERS.
Q: SPEAKING OF NEW ARTISTS, HOW DOES IT FEEL KNOWING YOU'VE INFLUENCED A WHOLE GENERATION OF SINGERS? MANY OF THEM HAVE NAME-DROPPED YOU BEFORE, ONE NOTABLE AS 'STAR' WHOSE PREVIOUS ALBUM HAD ELEMENTS OF PUNK WITH HER USUAL POP GENRE. SOME MIGHT EVEN SAY IT HAD A HAND IN HER FIRST GRAMMY WIN IN 2022, AN UPSET WIN WHEN SHE HAD BEEN NOMINATED AMONGST THE EXPECTED WINNERS.
R: AHEM, YEAH. IT'S INSPIRING FOR US, TOO, YOU KNOW. NOT TO STROKE OUR OWN EGOS BUT IT'S NICE THAT WE CAN LIVE ON IN OTHER WORKS RATHER THAN JUST OUR OWN MUSIC. STAR'S A GREAT SINGER, SHE'S ONE OF OUR FAVORITES.
J: ⌠DEFINITELY, SHE'S BEEN LIVING IN MY PLAYLIST FOR AWHILE NOW.
Q: COULD WE BE EXPECTING A COLLAB ANYTIME SOON?
R: NO PROMISES.
BEFORE THE TOPICS GOT AWAY FROM US, THE CONVERSATION WAS REDIRECTED BACK TO IRIS TAYLOR-ABBOT, JACK'S LATE WIFE. SHE HAD BEEN A PHENOMENAL CHILD STAR, GROWING UP IN THE PUBLIC EYE AS SHE GREW INTO HER OWN SHOES OF ONE OF THE BIGGEST NAMES IN CINEMA. HER LOVE STORY WITH JACK HAD BEEN ONE FOR THE AGES, ONE THAT PEOPLE TODAY STILL TALK ABOUT WITH REVERENCE. IT WAS A WHIRLWIND ROMANCE, HOW SHE TAMED THE INFAMOUS ROCKSTAR WITH A SIMPLE WINK WHEN SHE HAD WON HER FIRST OSCAR AND HE WAS IN THE CROWD FOR NIGHTCRAWLER'S SCORE FOR HER FILM.
THEY HAD BEEN THE NATION'S IT COUPLE OF THE EARLY 2000S.
J: I LOVE HER, THAT'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE, AND TIME DOESN'T HEAL ALL WOUNDS BUT IT SURE MAKES THE PAIN LESS. I CAN THINK OF HER WITHOUT WANTING TO LIVE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE.
Q: THAT'S WONDERFUL, JACK. WE CAN SEE THAT SHE STILL LIVES THROUGH YOU, AT LEAST, IN THE MULTITUDES OF LOVE SONGS THAT YOU'VE RELEASED.
R: SHE'S ALWAYS GOING TO BE A PART OF US.
HER UNTIMELY DEATH IN 2016 HAD BEEN A BLOW TO THE ENTIRE WORLD, ULTIMATELY LEADING TO NIGHTCRAWLER'S HIATUS. ON THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY, GHOST OF YOU WAS RELEASED WITH LITTLE FANFARE BUT IT CHARTED ON TOP FOR MONTHS. PEOPLE HAD SPECULATED THE RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL BAND BUT CAME TO NO FRUITION.
UNTIL NOW, NEARLY TEN YEARS AFTER THEIR DISAPPEARANCE FROM THE PUBLIC EYE.
â
The ceiling spins above Jack's head as he reclines in his office chair, drumsticks loosely grasped in his hand while Robby messes with the soundboard. There's staff inside the recording booth, readjusting mics and filters.
"Did you see that TMZ article?"
Jack snorts. "Since when did you pay attention to gossip, brother?"
"Since your girl's plastered all over the front pages."
The chair releases a loud creak before Jack tumbles onto the floor, unceremoniously lifting himself off his feet with as much grace his prosthetic leg allows. "What the hell did you sayâ?"
Robby chortles as he hands his phone over, the obtrusively red logo of TMZ splashed across the top of his screen. Jack settles onto the leather couch pushed against the far wall of the room with his bandmate's phone in hand, shoving his readers on before he scrolls.
Sure enough, it's a photo of you exiting the pink limo from the night before. His concern for you (along with the feral instinct to protect you from wandering eyes) is momentarily silenced when pride grows at the sight of you wearing his marks. It isn't until his eyes snag onto the blunt and crude headline meant to clickbait, ultimately tearing down your character to the public.
His grip tightens before he hands the phone back. He leans back against the couch, head tilted backwards with his eyes shut.
"Can't do much. TMZ didn't name anyone and talking about it would just prove me guilty."
Robby releases a hum, half-distracted now as he turns his attention to the soundboard and the files he had just opened. The album's half complete now with just mixing and final changes needed before they hand the whole thing over to the company's in-house producers.
Although the album was supposed to be done half a year ago, you had entered Jack's life, kickstarting nearly five new songs from the first evening he spent with you. Robby doesn't mind, he likes you well enough. You're younger, maybe a little too young to be messing with old men like them, but you've got a love for music that reminds them both of their own start all those years ago.
"Did Star text you?"
Jack shakes his head as his gaze returns to the back of Robby's head where it's slightly bowed as he fiddles with a few chord progressions. "No. Also, she's got a name. You don't have to keep calling her by her stage-name."
"Habit," Robby shrugs while he hits the save button. A half-lie, he knows your name but Jack is possessive, moreso with you than anyone else. It almost feels like an intrusion, a false sense of familiarity that hasn't earned, to use your given name. He turns in his chair, grabs the acoustic guitar to absentmindedly strum a few riffs. "You heading over to her place?"
"I don't know, maybe. It's her first scandal, not sure if I'm what she needs right now."
"She'll always need you." The simple remark has Jack looking up in mild surprise, searching for any kind of jab there from his bandmate (maybe something about your age again), but nothing but sincerity lives upon Robby's features. "It's been six months, brother. Your past flings never lasted this long."
Something uneasy settles into his stomach then, his mind nearly splintering to try and skip over the almost-revelation there to stitch something half-true about your importance in his life. He shifts in his seat instead, grabs the other guitar by its neck as he keeps his hands busy by tuning it. "I'll call her later. Make sure she's okay."
Robby nods in slight approval. "Maybe lay low a little. I know you two like hitting up your usual bar but with the article outâŚ"
Jack hits a sour chord. He didn't realize Robby had been keeping tabs of their 'usual' places. "Yeahâ yeah, good idea. Or maybe I can stop by, pick up her favorite before heading over." He readjusts the tuning peg, misses the way his best friend shoots him an incredulous look at the blatant domesticity. Jack looks up then. "What?"
"Nothing. Just don't forget her fried pickles."
"⌠Right."
â
The bar in question is Barney's on Santa Monica Blvd, nestled deep in West Hollywood. To both of your closest confidants (Robby for Jack and Trinity for you), Barney's had been the 'usual' hangoutâ a perfect meeting point between your house and Jack's home. It's out of convenience, you told Trinity. Traffic's a bitch in Los Angeles and the shorter the commute, the better. Nothing more, nothing less.
No one knows that it's the first time Jack had met you in person, where he had roguishly hit on you about two old fashioneds in. No one knows that you had also been a tad bit tipsy, spinning wildly off of a strong margarita that you pounded down when your writers' block had become too much to handle. And no one definitely knows that you had giggled your way through Jack's cheesy one-liners, nearly tearing up and toppling off your barstool and into his lap when he asked you if you had a map because he kept getting lost in your eyes.
â
⌠SIX MONTHS AGO.
You're gnawing at the end of your pen, brows furrowed and nose scrunched up each time you scratch a line through a lyric. The bar is sticky beneath your notebook but you can't find it in you to give a fuck as your heels shift and resettle against the footrest under your stool. The bartender, Queenie, gives you a tender look before refilling your glass of water and placing a fresh margarita beside it. Despite the raucous cheers from the other patrons watching a football game, you're focused enough to follow the melody that's been knocking around your head all day.
But not enough to write a single cohesive lyric that wasn't actual dogshit.
So you reach out for the sweating glass near you, ice clinking as you lift it up to chug the rest of your margarita down. The room spins a little but you power through. There's movement on your left, silver gray curls catching your peripheral view.
"I have to say," a gruff voice sounds beside you. "You caught my attention the moment I walked in."
The cheesy one-liner coaxes an incredulous laugh as your spine straightens and you turn to face him. At least he's hot in that DILF-way, you muse to yourself. You didn't realize you had said it aloud until he's chuckling, takes a swig of his glass.
"Thanks, sweetheart. Glad to see I haven't let myself go."
Recognition would've kicked in earlier if aren't two margaritas in but it comes anyways and a flush creeps up your neck as your eyes widen when you take him in. Jack Abbot, lead guitarist of NIGHTCRAWLER. Widowed to Iris Taylorâ a favorite actress of yours, if you recalled your younger days. Even though you've established yourself as a musician, considering some other artists that you've admired as a peer and colleague now after you've won your own Grammy, you still get a bit tongue-tied when you're faced with literal legends.
"You're Jack Abbot."
"And you're Star..?"
You chuckle at the stage name you picked out so long ago and offer your actual name instead. When Jack tries it on, you fight the urge to shiver at how sweet your name rolls of his tongue. The thought has you turning back to your notebook, scrawling the line in as a potential lyric.
"So, I had to come by and let you know you owe me a drink." Your brows fly up, absolutely shocked as you turn to face Jack again who swirls his drink. "Because when I saw you, I dropped mine."
A very ugly snort escapes you at the absolute shit-show of a pickup line, devolving into giggles. "That can't be your best line."
He chuckles and hides his bashful smile against the rim of his glass. "Alright, alright. Hold on, I have more." He pauses and you wait patiently. "Look, I'm just trying to drink here. You're very distracting."
The line isn't as funny as it should be but you're at that point of tipsy where everything is hilarious and you're nearly pitching forward, cheek brushing against Jack's chest as his warm hand settles on your waist to settle you. "Careful, sweetheart," he chuckles. "Hereâ"
In the midst of your giggles, Jack's arm carefully reaches out between your knees to grasp onto the underside edge of your stool and drags you closer to him. The easy strength of it silences you momentarily and you find yourself gripping his bicep for stability. "Oh, that's unfair."
Jack laughs, raspy and low as he retracts his hand and takes another swig of his glass. "What's unfair?"
Your hand wavers slightly as you gesture to his entire face and chest. "Youâ your whole⌠gentleman shtick. And I'm not dumb, y'know. I know the rumors about you and your manwhore ways. You and Robbyâ!" You might've been concerned with being a touch too crass, possibly offending Jack, but his easy and amused grin never falters as you babble adorably in his space. You haven't noticed yet but your bare knee is loosely slotted between Jack's and he's starting to crave the momentary brush of your skin against his denim jeans every time you shift.
"My manwhore ways" He repeats with a half-grin, hoping to coax you on to spill more.
"Yes, don't act coy, Mr. Abbot. I've seen the tabloid pages, the blind items." You sigh softly and regard him in a way that Jack feels almost exposed. Vulnerable. "If I didn't know any better, I thought I might've found my husband here in this bar in Silver Lake."
"It's concerning to think you're in Silver Lake, sweetheart. We're in West Hollywood."
"Irrelevant," you dismiss with a wave of your hand. "As long as my uber driver knows where I am, I can do anything I want."
"Alright, superstar. Maybe with how your words are slurring, it's time for that uber driver to know where you're at?" When he gently guides you off the stool, helps you with your jacket and purse, you go easily. He tips his head at the bartender who knows you by name, gives your manager a heads up while Jack leads you to the curb. He pays for your uber with just the regret of not giving you his number.
The regret goes away when he sees you at the same bar a few days later, this time stone cold sober.
â
The doorbell ringing draws you from your thoughts as you stare at the rerun of the TMZ soundbite where they have you splashed out on the screen, a half-step out of the pink limousine as an abrasive male voiceover eagerly dives in on your exaggerated exploits. Slamming the mute button, you look over your shoulder towards the door while tugging your stolen hoodie lower down your thighs.. You tug the hood over your head, harshly pulling at the strings until just a glimpse of your eyes and nose are revealed, while you drag yourself to your front door.
When you peek through the peephole, you relax and open it to see Jack with a baseball cap on, a greasy paper bag that smells faintly of your guilty pleasure snack in hand. A relieved smile curls upon your lips as you pull him in. "I didn't know you were coming," you say in greeting, shutting the door firmly before you're dragging him down by the nape of his neck for a kiss.
He smiles against your lips, reaching behind you to lock the door. "Wanted to check on you. You were trending again. Robby said so."
You groan dramatically and take the paper bag with Barney's logo on the front, turning to pad barefoot to your kitchen while Jack follows. You hear his keys jingle, settle into the bowl beside your keys, and his hat landing quietly onto the coat hanger you have by the door. "If your chronically off-line best friend knows about it, then it's definitely viral."
"Robby's getting better with the internet," Jack defends with a short laugh, leans against the threshold of your kitchen where you tear into the bag and lay out his treasure along your island counter.
"Mm, for a fifty year old."
"Sweetheart, we're forty-five." Your dramatic wince has him barking out a playful chuckle, crossing the distance that has you squealing and rushing around the island. He circles it, long legs striding with ease to catch and lift you to place you on the counter. "Glad to see the gossip circuit hasn't snuffed out your spark, superstar."
Your bare legs hook around his waist, feeding him a fried pickle. "It's not so bad. It could've been a leaked sex tape."
Jack frowns as he chews. "We don't have a sex tape."
"Not with you." When he gives you a shocked look, your face cracks and you burst into an amused cackle. "God, you should've seen your face, babe. And noâ before you start to spiral, I don't have a sex tape with any body. I justâI need to joke about this otherwise I'll overthink."
His lips snag onto the corner of your lips, cradling your jaw on the opposite side. "You'll be fine, sweetheart. The general public loves you, your fans would go to literal war for you. The world will adjust." When he sees the slight wrinkle that always settles between your brows finally smooth out, he knows he got you. "Mm, there's my girl."
A flutter grows in your stomach but you stifle it. Jack's too good with his words, means it just as much as a throw-away comment, and you're too clever to let yourself get lost in it. It's been six months of bliss and if you get to have that a little longer without the security that comes with a label, then you'll gladly coast this situationship until it crashes and burns. `
"Well, your girl is exhausted and it's been too long since I was given even an inch of attentionâ"
"You don't have to convince me, I'll stay the night," he says as he shuts you up sweetly with a kiss. "You have anything for me to wear?"
You give him a sweet hum, sharp eyes sparkling with mischief which he responds with a roll of his eyes.
"If you want me naked, sweetheartâ" He picks you off the counter, his low rumbling chuckle harmonizing well with your playful giggles, and brings you to your bedroom. He tosses you onto the mattress, unbuckling his jeans as you prop yourself up by your elbows.
"Your leg, Jack," you interrupt before you sit up smoothly, padding over to the attached closet to pull out a pair of crutches. He falls silent, looking gobsmacked with a look you miss as you set them down by the ottoman at the foot of your bed. "Jack"
"Right. Sorryâ" He snaps out of his throughts and leans down to steal a kiss. The action of removing his prosthesis in front of you no longer carries the odd sensation of shame or embarrassment but rather frustration out of a chore that's interrupting what he wants. With his leg set aside, he's back to joining you in bed just as you tug the stolen hoodie off to leave you in just an old t-shirt and cotton shorts. It gives him pause. "Baby, was that mine?"
You bite back a smile. "You left your hoodie in my dressing room a week ago. I told Cassie that I thrifted it. Did you want it back?"
He shakes his head, takes the shirt he must've left behind at your place too because it's folded nicely and smelling like you and pulls that on next. In just his boxers and a fresh sleep shirt, he joins you into bed while you reach over to your bedside table to flick the TV on. "No TMZ," you promise while you put on a streaming app instead. "I just want to turn my brain off a little."
"I can help with that," he murmurs, lips grazing along your bare shoulder while he spoons you from behind. He drinks up you soft laughter, basks in how it shifts into something breathier when you feel his bulge prod against your underwear.
"Jack," you murmur but you part your thighs, pulling your knee up just enough to give him room to grind his clothed cock against your core. The TV continues to blare but you're only giving it part of your attention when you feel Jack's hand slide between you two to tug your underwear aside. A broken whimper falls from your lips as he presses kisses into the nape of your neck.
"Shh, it's alright, pretty girl. Just missed you." His hands are soothing as they coast along the planes and curves of your body, reverent and nearly worshipful, while his cock starts to press against your folds. It isn't filthy the way it usually is, fast and dirty while he presses your face against the mattress, but it's nearly gentle and domestic. You banish the thought before it can take root and force yourself to focus on the rerun of a show you put on, allowing tiny gasps and whimpers as Jack sheathes himself completely inside you. When he doesn't move, you glance over your shoulder with a little pout.
"Why aren't you moving?"
He chuckles, heartbreakingly fond when he leans over to kiss your pout. "I'm not trying to tire you out tonight, superstar. I just want you to rest. Unless, this isn'tâ"
"No, no, it's fine," you interrupt with a shy grin of your own. "Didn't think you were into cockwarming."
Jack gives you a deadpan look. "You think me sticking my cock in your pussy throughout the night isn't gonna turn me on?"
"⌠good point." You turn back around to the show, sighs as you sink deeper into Jack's arms while he presses more lazy kisses into the nape of your neck. "S'kinda nice. Feels good⌠feeling comfy and full."
He hums, chest rumbling as his grip tightens around you. "Good. Get some rest, sweetheart. You've got a long day ahead of you tomorrow, right?"
You nod, half-asleep now as you trace little shapes along Jack's forearms. "I have a brainstorming session with the writers, recording⌠mm, but that's all after my brunch with the girls."
"That's right," he muses as he gives a little, shallow thrust. "I'll try to get out of your hair early, let you get ready."
Your eyes fly open (when did you even close them?) and release a quiet huff of protest. "No, you can stayâ I like it when you make me breakfast." His laughter is warm against your shoulder, warm and sweet.
"I thought you were going to brunch, sweetheart."
"Let's be real, Jack, it'll mainly just be Trinity and I pounding back mimosas."
He sighs. "Your best friend's an awful influence. Make sure you drink water in between, baby."
Your tone is wry but thick with sleep, already nodding off but not without slipping in one last bratty little remark. "Yes, daddy."
His cock throbs inside you but neither bother to mention it.
â
Morning comes with stubbly kisses to your cheek, a kind beginning to buffer the sun's cruel rays that are most definitely not being shielded by your usual curtains. You groan, shove your face into your pillow before peeking above to see your blinds and curtains open.
"Jackâ" You whine pitifully but he merely chuckles, circles the bed with his leg already on to settle on your side of the bed. His large hand smoothes back your hair, his calloused fingertips tracing along your jaw. You nuzzle into his touch like a cat. "Are you leaving already?"
He nods and lowers herself down to kiss your forehead. "Robby called. Our producer flew in early and they're calling for a recording sesh."
You sigh dramatically and lift your head up, lips pursed. "Tell Robby he owes me for stealing you away."
"You got it, sweetheart," Jack smiles against your lips, pinching your chin before he releases it to rise to his feet. "I'll call you later, yeah?"
Mumbling into the pillows to catch on some more sleep before one of your girlfriends call you up, you wave Jack goodbye. His footsteps fade into nothing and it isn't until your little security camera at your front door beeps with activity, letting you know that Jack has left your property. You sigh and roll over, shamelessly shoving your face into his side of the bed to inhale his shampoo and aftershave. It's an addicting musk, something clean but woodsy, something that reads 'older man' rather than some male manipulator's basic odor of Dior Sauvage.
In the privacy of your bedroom, you release a swooning sigh and allow yourself to daydream about Jack. It's dangerous territory, you know this, and yet you let yourself think up scenarios of simple domesticity. No one can blame you; your tumultuous relationship with Jack had gone from one night stands and stolen quickies in dressing rooms to picking up your shampoo on the way home or sharing pizzas on hotel rooftops.
Before you can sink even deeper in your fairytale thoughts, you drag yourself out of bed and stumble into the shower for a fresh start. You play your colleague's music rather than the demos you've been hoarding, all of them meant for your latest album that you've been working on. Nearly all of them about Jack.
As you sit at your massive vanity, Trinity facetime calls you without warning. You prop your phone up, accept the call with a soft sigh.
"Bitch, tell me you're ready."
You set the powder brush down and bring your setting spray within view of your camera in answer. Trinity rewards you with a bright grin as she shoves her sunglasses up her forehead to settle in her sleek updo. Despite the group chat claiming it to be a 'chill' brunch to catch up (now that all of you are finally in the same timezone), everyone is far too media-trained to ever be caught dead without looking effortlessly put together.
"We're on our way to you, get your ass to the front door!" Trinity crows as she turns the phone around, panning to the other girls in the car. Samira's glowing beside Trinity, the wonderful benefits of having wrapped up filming in Malta, and Victoria looks clean cut yet practical as if she's trying to demand the whole world to take her seriously as a filmmaker (even if she's one of the most famous nepo babies in Hollywood). The phone's passed down to Dove Tala, another singer-turned-actress that's been added into the fold of your friend group after sleeping with Trinity.
(As of now, you still have no idea what relationship they even have for each other.)
With a final swipe of lip gloss, you slip into a pair of kitten heels that match your sundress. Even now, your professional life bleeds into your personal as you slowly adopt a more girly style, something your team and creative partners had insisted on as you begin to build your next album release. They want more immersion, they said, especially with a fanbase like yours that follow your every move.
Already, some of your fans have begun to wonder if you're seeing anyone (aside from the pink limousine fiasco) due to the way you seem to be 'glowing' (a class effort from Tatcha's Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Finishing spray).
When Trinity's driver pulls up to the front of your house, the door swings open and you climb in where you're immediately greeted by a chorus of sweet 'hello's and gasps from your outfit.
"Okay, you're giving girlfriend material," Samira grins as she scoots down to make room for you. "Who's the lucky guy?"
Your eyes roll. "Jesus, I haven't even buckled inâ! Can we please save the interrogation until after the mimosas?"
Dove's eyes glimmer with mischief. "I'm holding you to that, babe."
â
The car takes your group to Beverly Hills, rolling to a stop in front of a podium where a gloved valet opens the door. With your glasses firmly placed on your nose, everyone schools their expression into one of neutrality before you're inside and the host guides you to your table near an open window for some natural light. While it leaves all of you exposed to any possible photos taken, none of you have any concern for it.
"Your server will be with you shortly," the host says serenely as you all scoot into your booth, purses set aside and sunglasses carefully placed upon the tops of all your styled hair. While your friend group aren't the only celebrities frequenting the infamous brunch spot, you still garner a fair amount of looks. Mostly awe but many are of sick curiosity.
Your cheeks burn and you recall the nasty exposĂŠ that TMZ had dropped the night before. Trinity takes your hand beneath the table and you immediately understand the silent question in her eyes.
"I'm fine," you murmur and squeeze her hand gently in affirmation. She holds your eyes a beat longer before she nods. The girls around you immediately notice the small interaction. You wave away their concerned looks. "Honestly. It's my first trashy tabloid photo, I'm just being a baby about it."
Dove tsks. "Still doesn't excuse them to blow it all out of proportion, especially with just one photo! Fuckin' deuxmoi's making it sound like you dropped a sex tape."
"Wait, what?"
Victoria elbows Dove and while a silent conversation passes, you turn to Trinity with a question on your tongue. However, the other girls interrupt. "It's fine, it's nothingâ!" Victoria cuts in, snatching your phone off the table with a slightly frazzled grin. "It's the same bullshit, these blind items are never accurate."
Panic brews but Trinity squeezes your hand before you can completely spiral. "No one is insinuating that you had a sex tape. It was a theory that your fans shut down immediately. Howeverâ the most common thread here is who the fuck you were with in that limo."
Four pairs of eyes land on you and while you've performed in front of tens of thousands of people, you feel an irrational sense of stage fright in front of your closest friends. But your server comes with a polite smile and you can sink into the plush velvet seats in relief.
"What can I get you ladies?"
"Let's start with a pitcher of Tommy margs," Dove smiles and her charm is blinding, eliciting a shy laugh from the poor server who nods. The rest of you rattle off your orders (the usuals, reallyâ the five of you frequent this place so often that it's an open secret with your fans that it's the best way to catch a glimpse of you) before relaxing back in your seats when your server leaves with the promise of returning quickly with margaritas.
Samira slides her phone towards you, screen displaying the TMZ article that's been haunting you alongside the photo that's shown you at possibly your worst: your black cocktail dressed ruched up one thigh in the stolen moment, one strap sliding off one shoulder where a myriad of lovebites are painted across your collarbone and neck, lipstick smeared and your hair mussed.
It's almost theatrical if you stare at it long enough. Maybe even purposeful if it had been taken with your consent.
"You look good," Dove murmurs with a light shrug. Your eyes cast up and her easy admission soothes the panic that's been simmering in your gut. She's kind but not always the most gentle with her words. Compliments are rare but it makes the ones that spill from her tongue even more precious. When she compliments, she states it like fact.
"Of course she does," Samira cuts in. "It's just awful that it was taken with the sole intent to defame her."
Victoria's nails tap away at her screen. "Some of these blind items say so. But lots are disagreeing." She hands her phone over to you.
Popstar princess snuck away from a party. Not so innocent now.
â she's a grown adult, let her have fun.
Popstar princess caught filming a sex tape in a limo. Call it a wild ride.
â if it was a real sex tape and we're thinking of the same singer, it would've been leaked by now. this is false.
And there were more, multitudes of comments defending you or demanding proper proof before any kind of accusations can be flung onto your name. It softens your racing heart as you give Victoria her phone back. "Thanks, guys."
Your friends all send you a smile, reaching over to rub your shoulder or hand or refilling your glass. "Of course," Samira coos.
Dove nods and takes a sip of her drink. "Now that we've got that out of the way, it's time to spill. Who's the guy, babe?"
As if on cue, your phone buzzes with a text, the table vibrating slightly.
J ⥠: Robby's driving me insane. Rooftop pizza later tonight?
The girls gasp and dive for it, eyes snagging onto the blatant red heart that's tagged right after Jack's initial. Before you can scramble for your phone back, Victoria's unlocking the text and blanching at the contact photo.
"You're dating Jack Abbot," she whisper-yells, remembering they're still in public settings and making sure to mouth his name at the end. The girls struggle to take the phone from Victoria who has a terrifyingly large grin. When you do not deign to confirm or deny, Dove deems this your silence as answer enough before her sharp gaze lands on Trinity.
"You aren't reacting." Her eyes narrow. "You knew, didn't you?"
Trinity's grin is wild. "Of course I did. Best friend privileges."
Victoria's expression is a touch hurt when she asks, "why didn't you tell us?"
"It felt so surreal, I wasn't sure if he was just gonna leave me high and dry after that first night," you share with a bashful smile. "We didn't even sleep together for the first couple of times we ran into each other at Barney's."
The food arrives, artfully decorated, and plates land quietly on your table. Your group give the server a distracted word of thanks before their attention is fixed on you once more. You drag out the moment as you grab your phone to text Jack back.
To J ⥠: Serves you right for picking him over me.
To J ⥠: But yes to pizza âĄ
When you hit send and lock your phone, you glance up to see them staring at you with patient expression. (Almost patient, Victoria looks like she's about to dive out of her seat.)
"So he joined me at the bar that first nightâyou know how I like to write at Barney'sâand he tried the most stupidest pick-up lines on me." You recall the evening with a smile, telling a shortened version before you continue on to tell the next time you'd seen him. "I didn't give him my number then and I was fully regretting it until I saw him again a week later at Barney's."
â
⌠SIX MONTHS AGO.
The loud music and wild cheers is a comfort that doesn't deter your concentration as you try yet again to continue writing lyrics. While you manage to tune out the surroundings of Barney's, you can't quite tune out your own thoughts. You're better than this, you think to yourself as you set the pen down with a little groan in favor of sipping at your glass of cherry coke.
Jack Abbot has been living at the forefront of your mind since he had helped you get home a week ago. You scoured the internet for any trace of him at two in the morning, stalking his non-existent socials only to come up with just their last release of Ghost Of You about five years ago.
The song itself is heartwrenchingly beautiful, the ache interlaced within the chords and harmonies, it had driven you to your piano and write a short melody you can't quite put a name to. It's the same melody filtering through your mind, one you've been trying to write lyrics to.
"You'll end up scratching a hole into the page if you write so hard."
You nearly fall off your stool when Jack settles into the seat beside you. Effortlessly handsome, his silver curls are messed roughly atop his head, crows feet deepening in amusement.
"Are you stalking me?" You blurt out but he chuckles and shakes his head.
"No, I just wanted a beer. But seeing you's a nice surprise." He takes the open bottle with a nod, takes a swig without losing eye contact with you. When you don't speak, a silent challenge, he gives in with a slightly bashful grin. "Alright, I might've⌠been coming every night to see you again."
The immediate confession floors you, flattery blooming in your chest. "Seriously?"
He laughs and it's such a boyish sound that he nearly looks ten years younger. "Seriously," he confirms. "Didn't feel right though since you weren't sober the last time I saw you."
A smile rises up your lips, unbidden. "I'm sober now. Still want that number?"
"Yes, but I was hoping for more now."
Your brows raise in playful surprise. "And what did you have in mind?"
His eyes flick up and down but rather than feeling like a piece of meat, he makes you feel like art being appraised. It sends a shiver down your spine. "One evening with you."
Maybe if it were anyone else, you would've made him work for it. Beg a little. Drag the moment until they're drooling for just a touch. But Jack's good at making you chase for it and make it feel like it's your idea.
"Take me home, rockstar."
No one bats an eye when you walk out of the establishment with Jack's arm around your waist, the other patrons turning a blind eye. His cologne is addicting when he tugs you into his side, effectively shielding you from a few stragglers taking a smoke break by the curb. When the car rolls up, Jack's got a hand at the top of the entrance as you slide in to avoid any accidental head bumps.
The drive is quiet but filled with a tension neither of you knew how to name. His hand is warm on your thigh and when you two make it to his place deep in the 'burbs of Holmby Hills. It takes your breath away when Jack helps you out of your sweater in the receiving foyer of his home.
It's massive and beautiful without seeming pretentious.
"So, be honest," you say as you follow him to what seems to be the main lounge, a plush brown leather sectional with a private bar hugging the far wall. "Do you use that line often to get women home?"
He circles around the bar, picks out a few glasses with a knowing laugh. "Whatâ? No, I don't just hang around bars to pick up women. That's more of Robby's prerogative. Haven't you seen our tabloids? He's the manwhore between the two of us."
You laugh and lean against the opposite side of the bar, nearly bending over to flash Jack a hint of your cleavage. "That doesn't help your case! Those same tabloids that talked about Robby also talked about you, you know. You two are one in the same."
He shakes his head with another amused chuckle before he gives in, narrating his tried and true methods. "⌠I start off with making mocktails. Makes it look less sleazy than me using actual alcohol." He does a few tricks with the cocktail shakers, indubitably impressing you despite your attempts to remain indifferent. When he finishes, he pours the mocktail espresso martini into two glasses, adds a coffee bean in the center.
"I hate to say it, rockstar, but I'm a little impressed," you say after taking a careful sip, noting the way Jack's eyes track your tongue catching the foam left behind on the corner of your lip.
"Thank god, I don't think I'd live with myself if I ended up disappointed you," he teases as he circles the bar to join you on the same side, leaning one elbow upon the dark wooden counter as he appraises you yet again. No hesitation in checking you out and you let yourself be put on display. He watches you look around, never taking his eyes off you as he absentmindedly reaches up to brush back your hair over your shoulder to trace your collarbone.
"You have a lot of decorâŚ"
The touch is light and undemanding, the backs of his knuckles feather-light as they brush along the remnants of glitter from your previous photoshoot. "I traveled a lot. And with the royalties, I have too much money I know what to do withâ yeah, I know," he laughs at your blatant eye roll but he continues on when you sink deeper into his space. "I bought a lot of stupid shit with it. I even got talked into buying a gold massage chair."
You gasp dramatically. "No fuckin' way. Those are literal scams."
"I was out $10k, of course I knew it was a scam," he laughs as he shakes his head. The hand that had traced your jaw and collarbone travels down to your waist, skimming a thumb along your hip bone. The space between you two is nearly nonexistent but before you follow the natural progression to kissing, he tips his head to the side. "Follow me."
His hand nearly swallows yours as he guides you to the leather couch, sits you down before he wanders to the corner of the room where a gorgeous turntable sits. The room's filled with slow crooning and instrumentals, maybe something from the forties if you had to date it yourself, when he drops the needle. The plush seats dips beside you as Jack's arm stretches out across the back of the couch, effectively curling you into his embrace. You aren't complaining as your shoulder brushes his chest, lifting to move your legs onto his lap while you sip at your mocktail.
"Your age is showing," you tease. "I didn't think you listened to Frank Sinatra. Were you two classmates?"
"Har har," Jack laughs dryly, pinching your side lightly while you lean over to set your empty glass down onto the coffee table. "You're real cute, sweetheart." In your effort to escape and wriggle from his ticklish touch, he uses your movement to his advantage to pull you even closer for a kiss that steals your breath away.
You kiss back immediately, a low whimper spilling between your lips that Jack swallows immediately. He kisses you like he's starving. His touch is warm and demanding as he coasts along the expanse of your ass and hips, drawing you closer. At one point, your hips rise, grinding slightly while you hover above him and his head tips back with the force of your kiss. It's hungry and messy now, your hair cascading down that he uses the back of his hand to sweep back your tresses before tucking it behind your ear.
The gentle touch brings forth a broken giggle before you full on start laughing against his neck.
"Sweetheart. This is kinda killing my ego," he says as his large hand splays out along your spine while you bow over to stifle your laughter in his shirt.
"I'm sorry," you manage to say, your giggle dying down as you lift your head while you smooth out the creases upon his collar and chest. "I justâ it was tickling me and then I just rememberedâ you have a massage chair? Like for real?"
He gives you an incredulous look but nods. "Yeah."
"Can I see it?"
"Not right now."
...
You sit in the massage chair with a blanket wrapped around your frame while Jack stands above you, fiddling with the remote control. The chair kickstarts and your eyes roll back with a quiet moan. Jack's eyes darken before you look up with a half-grin.
"This is great but this was definitely not worth ten thousand dollars, rockstar."
â
You're pulled back into the present when your phone buzzes in your hand. A red heart from Jack in reply to your text.
"You tried out his massage chair before you tried him out?" Dove interrupts with a bright giggle. "Did you guys fuck that night?"
When you shake your head, the girls gasp. "No, we spent the whole night talking. He took me back to bed and we made out some more but we kept laughing. At one point, we just fell asleep together."
You didn't realize you had been staring out the window with the dopiest smile until you snap out of it, glancing back to your friends who are watching you with varying looks of fondness and slight concern.
"You look smitten, babe," Samira murmurs gently. You startle and before you can deny it, Dove cuts in with a firmer squeeze to your hand.
"Just remember, honest love can be a cage that'll trick you into feeling like you're free."
Victoria smacks her shoulder. "Jesus, you're a bigger cynic than Trinity."
You shake your head and trace shapes into the condensation of your glass. "I never said it was love, guys. It's⌠We aren't labeling anything. And I'm not about to scare him off by asking the stupid 'what-are-we' question, I'm being cool. Chill. Relaxed and indifferent."
"Indifferent suddenly means your not-boyfriend coming around for pizza?" Trinity remarks with a sharp brow. "Be honest with yourself, he's doing boyfriend things, you're doing girlfriend things. I think six months is a little too long for a situationshipâ"
Victoria snorts into her glass. "Look who's talking."
Dove and Trinity share a look and an awkward silence falls on the table. Despite feeling sorry for your best friend and her own messy love life, you're grateful that the attention is finally off you.
The conversation shifts onward to different topics, Samira bemoaning the strict thematic approaches the higher-ups are placing on her next EP, Dove gushing about the last episode of Euphoria, Trinity rambling eagerly of a break after wrapping up filming for her latest movie, and Victoria complaining yet again of her extraordinarily famous director of a mother.
You sit in the midst of the beautiful chaos with a soft smile, nibbling absentmindedly at your friends before your phone buzzes again. Trinity glances overâyou wonder if it's her innate overprotective best friend roleâuntil you wave her away. It's just your manager, Cassie.
"I've gotta go," you sigh regretfully as you show the screen of Cassie calling you. The girls boo dramatically but you give your customary cheek kisses before you stumble out of the booth, answering the call and tucking your phone in between your ear and shoulder. "Hey, Cass."
Your heels carry you to the front, sunglasses back on your face. The valet approaches you but you politely wave them away just as your own driver pulls up to the curb.
"⌠yeah, Antoine just got here," you tell Cassie on the phone as he steps out to open the door for you. "⌠yup, absolutely." When you hang up the phone, you let your driver know to take you straight to the recording studio.
As you sink into the backseat, you let out a quiet huff as you brace yourself for the packed schedule that'll take up the rest of your day. In the midst of LA traffic, you mindlessly scroll through emails and correspondence to shift your brain into work mode.
Even so, your attention falls to the leather cord that's wrapped loosely around your wrist. A guitar pick dangles at the end, matte black with a red 'J' scrawled in the center.
Your smile never fades even as you enter the building upon arriving.
â
The outside world falls away when you envelop yourself into the bubble with the other writers and producers. Before you even step into the booth, you settle onto the couch as you're surrounded by a few of the other staff. Cassie had brought you your notebooks from your house for you, along with a few changes of clothes in anticipation of having no time to go home and change.
"I do have potential lyrics for one of the b-sides."
You flip through your notebook and the raw vulnerability that greets you nearly has you slamming the pages shut. But you keep it open and hand it over to Brendon, one of your harsher critics and fellow co-writers. It always feels like peeling your skin and exposing the muscles beneath when Brendon looks over your work; he may not know it's about Jack but he'll see the yearning that's been burrowing deeper and deeper in your bones.
"Not bad." Brendon nods and turns where he sits on a piano bench, testing out the chords you had scrawled above the lyrics. "Slower tempo, though. Might keep this as an opener if you want to build the storytelling to something biggerâŚ"
The afternoon continues on like this, testing out melodies and harmonies while locking in the lyrics. Something comes to mind from the brunch and you lean over Brendon to scribble an extra line in the first verse.
He reads it over, sings it in the melody. "Honest love is a cage that makes you feel freeâŚ" the final chord echoes in the room. "That's cynical for a love song."
You shrug. "That's why it's titled 'stupid song'."
Another producer behind you chuckles at your smart wit. The progress is slow and steady but you've got a demo recorded at least and soon Cassie's hustling you out for your next schedule to the dance studio a few blocks down.
Fortunately, there's only a few dancers already there and the choreographer and performance director is close behind; you hate making people wait, fully negating the diva persona the internet tries pushing on you.
The choreo is something you're already familiar with and rehearsal goes by swiftly, blocking out your entrances as you follow the marked tapes that's meant to mimic the stage for the festival you're headlining next month.
"We'll end here today. Thanks, everybody." Everyone disperses for water, stretching out while you head over to your phone where it's been ringing.
You thank everyone as you cross the room to your bag, rummaging to bring out your phone. When you answer, a smile immediately blooms upon your lips.
"Hey, baby."
Jack's chuckle is slightly overtaken by the roar of winds and you figure he's driving with the windows down. "Hi, sweetheart. Did I interrupt something, you sound breathless."
"Oh, absolutely. I was just riding Robby," you retort with a snappy giggle.
"My best friend? That's cruel," he whines dramatically before he breaks off into a laugh. "Our recording sesh finished early, thought I could swing by and wait for you at your place."
"ActuallyâŚ" Your conversation with the girls begin to weigh heavily on your mind, missing the way some of the dancers start to glance your way. "Rehearsals just finished. Do you wanna pick me up instead?"
"Depends. Where's the dance studio?"
"Are you near West Hollywood? On Melrose?"
Jack chuckles. "I am. I'll be there in ten, alright? Don't come out 'til I pull up."
You hum, not bothering to stamp down your bright smile. "I know. I'll see you soon."
"See you, darling."
Jack's G-Wagon is excessive yet blends right in with the rest of the vehicles that roll along Melrose Ave. He's shamelessly double-parked in front of the studio, hazard lights flashing, as you walk briskly to hop into the front seat. You don't relax until the door's shut behind you, safe behind tinted windows, to lean in and kiss Jack across the console. Despite the obvious traffic he's causing, his hand grasps your jaw to deepen the kiss that has your thighs clenching together.
"Mm, Jack⌠the carsâ"
He nips against your lower lip. "Can't help it. Missed you today."
You giggle, traffic be damned, and lean in for another. "You saw me this morning."
"Not enough time," he says simply before he drops a kiss to your nose and shuts off his hazard lights. "Buckle up."
You obey immediately before a tantalizing smell steals your attention. Like a bloodhound, you sniff the air and look over your shoulder to see the familiar box in the backseat.
"You got me Vito's?"
Jack chuckles at the sharp squeal that follows, landing his warm palm onto your thigh to settle you when you attempt to turn and crawl into the back for an early slice. "It's your favorite, sweetheart, of course I did. Now quit moving and behave for me."
You retaliate with a sharp nip to his earlobe instead, dragging his hand higher up your thigh which he squeezes. "I'm giving you the sloppiest head later."
"Just for pizza?" He barks out a laugh as he turns onto your street.
"For Vito's," you correct. He rolls into your driveway, the gate shutting behind him. Once the security system is locked in place, you squeal as Jack's hand shifts higher to rub your clothed clit. His mouth finds yours, swallowing up your moans as he rubs you through the soaked fabric until you're cumming in your seat.
You're panting against his mouth when he reluctantly breaks the kiss, retracting his hand to lick his fingers clean while you watch with a burning gaze. "Always taste so sweet for me, sweetheart," he remarks casually before he steps out, circles the car and helps you out next.
The indifference he has is a ruse, you know that much, but it turns you on even more, whining playfully as he grabs the pizza and heads inside without another word. "Jackâ!"
His resounding cackle only has you huffing, playfully stomping your feet as you follow him inside. "Go shower, pretty girl, I'll meet you on the rooftop."

VIDEO: A screen recording of an old livestream of you that aired a few months ago. It's late morning or early noon, birds chirping. You're sitting in your backyard patio at the table, an acoustic guitar on your lap and dressed in a matching pajama set. A bowl of unfinished greek yogurt and parfait is sitting on the table beside you.
"This is a demo, not really sure if this'll ever be released but I finally figured out the chorus. Hope you like it."
A sweet melody rings out, mingling with the occasional songbird that flits in and out of frame behind you. It's likened to a lullaby.
"And it's too hard to describe thisIn a way that feels honest, but even when I'm quietI adore you, baby, I promiseAnd I hope I never see what your face looks like goin'A face, I swear, that I could spend my whole life knowin'Here's to hopin'."
â
By the time you're showered, the sun has begun to set, painting the skies a strawberry pink tinged with orange. One of Jack's old NIGHTCRAWLER shirts hang off your frame, the black dye faded into a crackled gray, and conceal the cotton shorts beneath as you climb up the stairs that lead to your house's roof.
It had been the sole reason of purchasing this home, the gorgeous view that overlooks the neighborhood with an artifical ivy wall to create a semblance of privacy. With some renovation, you had another wall put up to project movies off of with a mountain of beanbag chairs and plush couches to sit on at the other side of the roof. A low coffee table sits nearby as well, occasionally pushed aside or dragged closer for whatever the evening requires.
But tonight, Jack has the lanterns turned on, casting the roof in a warm glow that'll replace the sunset's natural light. The coffee table is tugged close to the couch that Jack's already occupying, the pizza box open and a couple of cherry cokes already set out for the both of you.
"That mine?" He chuckles in greeting as he opens his arm for you to slide into.
"It's mine now," you grin and tuck your legs beneath you, fitting perfectly in his arms while he hands you a plate. Music is playing faintly; you may not own an exorbitantly expensive record player like Jack but you have a handy JBL speaker that's currently playing an old R&B track you might've introduce him to.
The two of you eat in comfortable silence as you assume your usual position: legs tossed across Jack's lap, his hand stroking along your thigh, and your head resting on his shoulder as you chew. While he'd been technically on hiatus with Robby for the past several years, he understands the chaos and demands of a life lived in the public eye.
Sometimes, just existing with Jack is enough to find your anchor.
"Day's been okay?" He asks quietly, plates set aside as he presses a kiss to your forehead. When you nod, a voice that sounds eerily like Trinity whispers in your ear: boyfriend activities. You bat it away.
"Just busy," you answer as you set your cherry coke down to tip your head up to meet his eyes. Your fingertips scratch along his scruffy beard, traveling up to play with his silver curls. "This is nice, though. I love our rooftop pizza nights."
Jack hums in agreement, head tipping to chase your touch. "Best way to end the day. Made any progress with the album?"
"A bit. We got the verse down but we're still playing around with the chorus," you murmur. His hand smooths up your thigh without expectations, basking in the domesticity of the evening while you ramble on about your day. He listens with a few nods and hums slipped in. "But how about you? I saw the Rolling Stones article about you and Robby. Are you excited to be back in the limelight?"
"I think soâ I know Robby is," he chuckles. "Most of the album is recorded but it's shorter than we planned it to be. Either we just drop it as is or we would drag out the release by dropping singles."
"That's what my company wants me to do. Don't tell anyone but I have something slated to release for my music festival next month. Ohâ that reminds me! Will you be coming?"
Jack already has trouble denying you anything but when you pair a question (that you ask oh so sweetly) with a bat of your big doe eyes, he's saying yes before he could even consult his schedule. He's rewarded with an eager squeal from you, nearly knocking him backwards as you hug him tight. "Careful, sweetheart," he laughs as he braces you against him with a hand on your back, effectively holding you like a clingy koala with how your legs hook around his waist.
"I'll have my team send over badges so you can get through security," you state while reluctantly releasing Jack so you can draft up an email to Cassie while perched comfortably on his lap. "Should I get Robby one too?"
Jack pauses before he nods. "Sure, why not."
"Good, I already requested for two." The email's sent and when you toss your phone aside, you catch your lover's questioning look as you settle back down in his arms.
"Don't give me that faceâ you and Robby are like a set, I know better than to separate you two."

Jack Abbot had always been a man of remarkable composure, the sort of composure that had been his armour, carefully built after the death of his wife, reinforced brick by brick through routine, discipline, and relentless work.Â
While other men sought comfort in distractions, Jack prided himself in the fact that he buried himself in academia. Entire nights disappeared beneath journal articles, lecture plans, and grading sociology essays, until the loneliness that waited for him at home was little more than a dull ache he could almost ignore.Â
Last week at the bar, well, that had been a mistake. A brief lapse in judgement, that's all. One too many whiskeys after a particularly long week and a pretty young thing asking him for help with some creep who wouldn't leave her alone - what exactly had he been supposed to do? Ignore her? Tell her she was on her own? Any decent man would've stepped in, at least that's what Jack keeps telling himself.
The problem is that a week later, he still can't get you out of his head.
He remembers the dress first. God, that dress. The dark fabric had clung to your figure, hugging every curve, and he'd spent the entire evening irritated with himself for noticing at all.Â
He remembers the way the dip of your waist had fit beneath his palm when he'd guided you behind him, the startling softness of you, the instinctive way you'd moved closer when the man started getting aggressive. The tiny stutter in your breathing as he'd told the asshole to âfuck off and stop bothering his girlâ in a gruff voice, the way you'd looked up at him with those wide eyes, somewhere between embarrassed and grateful, as though he had done something remarkable when all he'd really done was the bare minimum.
Worst of all, he hates that he remembers the warmth of your body as he pinned you against the wall of the men's bathroom, mouths hovering over each other, not kissing, but breathing in wine-tinted lips.Â
God, the way your warm walls stretched around his fingers, your clit under his thumb, still made him achingly hard. Jerking off in the shower had been futile ever since that night, ever since he felt your soft fingers around his cock, your moans spilling into his mouth. And your soft whines when he called you a good girl, fuck. Heâs hard, again, in the middle of reading through the PHD proposals sent his way. He sighs, pulling his cock out his pants.Â
It was becoming ridiculous. Which is precisely why he is looking forward to the start of semester.
But the universe has a fucked up way of derailing his plans. By the time he arrives at the lecture hall the next morning, coffee balanced in one hand and laptop tucked beneath his arm, he's almost managed to convince himself that the entire thing was behind him.
Then he walks through the door. The lecture hall blurs into meaningless shapes and colours, and in the centre of it sits you.Â
The girl he couldnât take out of his brain for the past seven days.Â
Jack forces his legs forward, somehow making it to the front of the room without visibly embarrassing himself. He places his coffee on the desk. Sets down his laptop. Connects the HDMI cable twice because he misses the port the first time. His fingers feel too clammy, his pulse too fast.Â
Jack opens his mouth to introduce himself. Â
"My name is-"
But the words die there. Because he makes the mistake of looking back at you, again.Â
Those same eyes he'd spent an entire week trying to unsuccessfully forget are fixed directly on his, wide with disbelief.
For a fraction of a second his mind goes entirely blank. Then your eyebrows lift. Just slightly.
And he realises with a jolt of horror that you've noticed the way his words catch. Jesus Christ.
He clears his throat and looks away, pretending to adjust something on his laptop despite the fact that absolutely nothing needs adjusting, acutely aware of the warmth crawling up the back of his neck, and onto his cheeks. It's ridiculous. Completely ridiculous.Â
He's a respected academic pushing fifty years old, not some nervous graduate tutor fumbling his way through his first class.
"My name is Dr Jack Abbot," he says again, his voice steadier this time, lower too, the words settling more naturally now that he's managed to regain some semblance of control. "I'm the lead lecturer for the sociology department.â
His eyes catch yours.Â
âIt'll be my greatest pleasure to work with all of you this semester."
Youâre this close to fucking shitting your pants.Â
The sexy old man that had fucked the shit out of you with his fingers, while you could barely wrap your hands around his girthy cock in the corner of a dingy bathroom, was your professor. He was in front of you speaking in a voice too gravelly for his own good, and donned in what youâd deem an outfit way too slutty.Â
Tweed blazer that somehow actually showed how broad he was, how fat and juicy his biceps were. A soft wool polo underneath that stretched around his fat pecs.Â
And those brown pants, for fucks sake, those pants should be an abobination. You could see the bulge of his dick, the print, as he moved around the room.Â
Whatâs worse though? His fat fucking fingers. As he gesticulates while talking about the content, which you donât give a fuck about, all you can think about is how they felt inside of you, curling up to reach that sweet spot, and making you come faster and harder than your vibrator.Â
As the flashbacks of him pounding into you fade, and you focus, you see something black and shiny glinting as it catches the overhead lights. You blink. Adorning one of those delicious fingers, is a ring. Fuck. Itâs a wedding ring.Â
You stare at it for a second too long before immediately snapping your gaze back to your laptop. Heat floods your face. You rack your brain trying to remember whether he'd been wearing it that night. You don't think so, you're almost certain he wasn't. Yeah, he definitely didnât have it on that night in the bar, you wouldâve felt it against your pussy, that fucking slut.Â
You clench your jaw and look away, typing away to start making notes. Youâd hooked up with an older married geratric. Yeah, maybe you should just drop out. Hurl yourself off the chair and out the door and withdraw from your course and fade into the abyss and die in a hole.
But what's worse is the way your cunt is clenching around nothing at the thought of this older man fucking you with his fingers while he had a wife at home- no, stop. How deeply unfeminist of you. You cunt.Â
Yet still, when you look up and accidentally make eye contact with Jack Abbot, it feels like a punch to the vagina.Â
By the time the lecture ends, Jack has spent nearly two hours forcing himself not to look at you. It has been a miserable failure. Not an obvious one, nobody in the room would have noticed. Years of teaching and having to discreetly catch students on their phones have made him an expert at disguising where his attention is actually resting.Â
But every time his gaze swept across the theatre, every time a student asked a question, every time laughter rippled through the room, some part of him remained acutely aware of where you were sitting.
Which is precisely why, as students begin packing their bags and filtering towards the exits, he decides to do something incredibly stupid.
He tells himself it isn't stupid. He tells himself it's necessary. Professional, even.
After all, the two of you know each other in some capacity. There was the bar, there was what occurred inside of that bar, that lapse in judgement. There is now the unfortunate reality that you are one of his students. A conversation needs to happen. Boundaries need to be established, expectations clarified.
At least that's the excuse he gives himself. The truth is considerably less flattering. The truth is that he wants an excuse to speak to you.
He calls out your name. The words leave his mouth before he can reconsider them.
You freeze halfway through sliding your laptop into your bag. For a second you look almost startled that he's addressed you directly. Then your eyes meet his, startled.Â
"Could you stay for a moment?"
Several students glance between the two of you before continuing out the door. Jack immediately regrets saying it publicly. Excellent start, Abbot.
By the time the last student leaves, you're making your way slowly towards the front of the room, one loop of your backpack slung on your shoulder.
As you slow to a stop in front of him, his eyes map your face. Your wide eyes, your slightly messy hair, the shape of your lips- Stop. Jesus Christ.Â
He forcibly redirects his gaze towards his laptop on the podium. Professional. Remember, professional.
"You wanted to see me?" you ask softly.
Jack clears his throat.
"Right. Yes."
Very articulate.Â
"I just thought it would be best if we acknowledged..." He gestures vaguely between the two of you. "The situation."
You blink.
"The situation?"
"The fact that we've met before."
"Oh."
You glance down at the strap of your bag, fingers tightening around it.
"Yeah. I noticed."
The dry response catches him completely off guard. A smile threatens at the corner of his mouth.
"Um, sorry, Dr Abbot," you add quickly, stumbling over the words. "I didn't mean to make things weird."
Jack immediately shakes his head.
"No, it's okay. You're good."
Dr Abbot. Dr Abbot. His brain plays your lips wrapping around his name again and again, perhaps in more precarious positions. He rubs his neck, looking away, willing for his cock to stop fucking stiffening.Â
"I just wanted to clarify," he starts carefully, "I'd appreciate it if what happened stayed private."
Your eyes immediately narrow, apparently offended.
"Dr Abbot, I'm not stupid."
His eyebrows lift at your sudden confidence. He puts his hands out in front of him in defence.Â
"I wasn't suggesting-"
"No, I know," you interrupt. Then your eyes widen, immediately looking mortified for interrupting him. "Sorry. I just mean... I'm not exactly planning on standing up in tutorials and announcing that I fu- I met my professor in a bar."
Jack closes his mouth. Fair point. And suddenly he becomes aware of how ridiculous he sounds.
You aren't the problem here. You haven't done anything. If anything, you're handling this better than he is. This sort of âcasualnessâ is probably the usual for someone as beautiful as you, as young and brilliant.
"Right," he says finally.
A silence settles between you as he continues staring you down.Â
You shift your weight awkwardly beneath his gaze, looking everywhere except directly at him now, and suddenly he's struck by how young you seem standing there.Â
Then, before he can stop himself, in some hope to keep you standing there in front of him, he hears himself say, "If you ever need help with coursework, though, my office hours are listed on the syllabus."
The second the words leave his mouth, he knows they weren't necessary. Your eyes flicker up to his face in shock, before immediately dropping back down again. Interesting.
For someone who'd managed to argue with him thirty seconds ago, you seem remarkably incapable of holding eye contact for more than a few moments.
Then you nod, still staring at the floor.Â
"Okay."
"Okay. Yeah, good."
Another silence. Neither of you moves, seems entirely unsure on how to end the conversation. Eventually you shift your bag higher up, and take a small step backwards.
"I should go."
"Yes, thank you for staying back."
You hesitate for a second, then whisper as you turn and walk away from him.Â
âGoodbye, Dr Abbot.â
Jack stares at your ass through your jeans as you depart, he canât help it. You sick, sick old man, Abbot.
The second you're gone, he drops his head down, groans, rubs a hand over his scruff.Â
That conversation was supposed to make things better, supposed to reassure him that whatever happened at that bar was firmly in the past.
Instead, all it has accomplished is proving that being around you is a nightmare. Â
It's been four weeks since that conversation and you cannot get him out of your head. Every time you enter those lectures where he stands in the front of the room with another blazer, another pair of form fitting pants, twice a week, you leave with a pool of slick.Â
You refuse to acknowledge the way he looked at you when you let your attitude slip, his furrowed brows, hazel eyes narrowing. He looked⌠mad almost. Like he wanted to tame you. Of course you're being delusional, he has a wife for fucks sake.Â
And weeks of observing him has made you realise that he has an immense proclivity for eye contact, with everyone. Basically, youâre not special.Â
And, so your avoidant ass refuses to take him up on that offer to see him at his office. Youâre doing well academically, you presume, in all your subjects. Which is not surprising given it's the only thing youâve got going for you, being an antisocial chud, but these days, rather than studying, a lot of your time is spent replaying that night in the bar. The sense of comfort you felt pinned against the wall by him, the way heâd protected you against that creep. Nobody had done that for you before.Â
God you sound fucking pathetic.Â
And specifically, his suggestive line of âmy office hours are listed on the syllabusâ reverberates around your skull, like the start of those Wattpad stories you used to read as a teen. And so, you and your vibrator have the time of your life at all odd hours of the day, imagining him and you in those situations.Â
In hindsight, being overtaken by lust to distract from your crippling loneliness was a poor decision to make, that much you clock when you receive one of your midterms back today. With a big fat fucking 60% written on the front. In Dr Abbotâs class at that too.Â
Humiliation takes over you, cheeks warm as he walks by to return the paper, refusing to look at him but feeling his gaze on your face.Â
Around you, students are already discussing their marks, complaining about feedback, celebrating distinctions, debating whether certain deductions were fair, while you're busy boring holes into the godforsaken paper with your eyes as though sheer hatred might cause it to burst into flames.
As someone who quite literally had nothing going on for them other than academic success, it's a stab to the heart to realise youâve fallen off in any capacity. For your wretched brain, one poor mark isn't just a mark, it's indicative of you falling behind, lacking in the one thing that defines you.Â
Academics have always been your thing, the one area of your life you've been able to control through sheer stubbornness and hard work, the one thing you've quietly built your entire sense of self around. You aren't particularly outgoing. You don't have a huge social circle. You don't possess some secret hidden talent waiting to be discovered.
And now a bright red sixty is staring back at you from the top of the page like a personal attack.
The feedback only makes it worse.
Critical analysis underdeveloped.
Needs greater engagement with course material.
More depth required.
Each comment feels less like academic criticism and more like somebody taking a hammer to your ribcage.
Especially because you've spent the last month thinking about fuckass Jack Abbot far more than you've spent thinking about sociology. You've replayed conversations that lasted less than five minutes. Analysed glances that probably meant absolutely nothing, and constructed entire fictional narratives from harmless comments that any reasonable person would've forgotten weeks ago.
Meanwhile half your readings have been sitting untouched in a browser tab.
You stare down at the paper again, jaw tightening.
Perhaps this is the universe intervening. Perhaps this is your sign to get a grip. Perhaps this is your sign to finally take him up on that offer he'd made four weeks ago.
Not because you're harbouring some pathetic crush. Absolutely not.Â
Purely for academic reasons. You need to know what went wrong and you need to know how to fix it before your anxiety makes this into something worse and you have another one of your depressive episodes.Â
And if that means sitting in Dr Jack Abbot's office while he explains why your argument was underdeveloped and your analysis lacked depth, then so be it.
The thought alone makes your stomach perform an alarming little flip, which is deeply unfortunate.
Because that's probably another sign that you're not thinking nearly enough about sociology.
After stalking the stupid university website youâve discovered that Dr Jack Abbot apparently remains on campus until after five o'clock most evenings, like some sort of psycho freak.Â
Doesnât he have a wife to go home to? Surely no sane person voluntarily spends that much time at a university.
Still, at 5:17 PM, you're standing outside his office clutching your assignment paper so tightly it's beginning to crumple around the edges.
You knock on the door and hear his gruff voice let out a âcome inâ. You walk in. Â
Fuck your life.Â
His blazer is off, sleeves of his beige shirt rolled up to show veiny forearms, as he types away on his laptop.Â
âOh it's you. Hello sweetheart.â He winces at the slip of the pet name.Â
âSorry Miss-â he pauses. âUm, just have a seat, please.â
You hope to God that he can't hear the beating of your heart as you step in, closing the door shut behind you, avoiding eye contact as you sit on the seat opposite him.Â
You set your paper on his desk and mumble.
âI just wanted to review the feedback I got on this.â
âYeah of course, whatâd you want to ask?â
You hesitate, his soft tone suddenly making you want to spill everything.Â
"I just..." You stare at the desk. "I thought I'd done better than this. So I wanted more clarity on all the comments you made."
He nods and picks up the paper, starts reading through it, then squints.Â
He sighs.
âWait, let me get my readers on.â
You sneak a glance up.Â
Oh fuck.Â
He puts his readers on. Some fucking high prescription glasses that enunciate the size of his stupid hazel boba eyes and delicious eye wrinkles.Â
Yeah, pussy exploded.Â
You look back down on the table, and inhale to calm your heart.Â
When Jack finally finishes, he sets the paper on the desk.Â
"You know," he says carefully, tapping one section of the essay, "the reason this stood out to me wasn't because the writing is bad."
Your eyes lift despite yourself. He slides the paper slightly closer.
"It's actually the opposite."
âWhat?"
"The writing is strong, and your arguments are quite clear. You've obviously got the ability."
The knot in your chest loosens slightly. Only slightly.
"But?" you whisper.
His mouth twitches.
"But I don't think you pushed yourself."
Jack studies your expression for a moment before leaning back slightly in his chair.
"You understand the material," he continues. "I don't have concerns about that. What I'm seeing is somebody who's engaging with the content at a surface level when they're capable of going much deeper.â
Right, so youâre failing. You ridden with lust, and doing god knows what in hopes to distract yourself from the sheer loneliness and mundanity of your life and now you canât even understand the content the way you want to understand it and-
âHey sweetheart, are you feelinâ okay?âÂ
You look up at him in confusion and realise your breaths are heavy, uneven. Your hands are trembling slightly where they're resting on your lap.Â
Fuck, the beginnings of a panic attack.Â
âIâm so sorry Dr Abbot, I just- Iâve never done poorly in a test really, and so this is all soâŚâ your voice cracks. âI don't even know what Iâm saying I just-â
He gets up and walks over to you as you break off, letting out a shaky laugh that sounds suspiciously close to a sob.
He leans against his desk, in front of you, bending to reach your eyes. Â
âHey, it's okay angel, breathe for me.â Â
He inhales.Â
âLook, follow my breathing.â
You try to, but it comes out stuttered.
"Fuck, I'm sorry."
"Nothinâ to apologise for, sweetheart, just keep trying. Câmon, take a deep breath in, and out."
He holds your hand and brings it to his chest. You feel his heart beat steadily under your palm. He exaggerates his breathing to help you.
âIn, and out, just like that.â
It seems nice to just let go. To have someone else take over your brain, follow their instructions and shut the noise, the anxieties and the worries.Â
Once your breathing slows, he moves your hand away from his chest.Â
âYou breathinâ better now?â
You nod slowly, still feeling shaky, still mortified by the fact that you've just had what can only be described as a minor psychological collapse in your professor's office.
âIâm so, so sorry you saw me like that Dr Abbot, I didnât mean to-â
âHey, itâs okay, sweet girl.â
He pauses, seems occupied gathering his thoughts.
You busy yourself staring at the floor. Then he exhales softly through his nose and settles back against the edge of his desk.
"After my wife passed away, I used to get them all the time."
The words are so unexpected that your head lifts immediately.
Jack's gaze remains fixed somewhere over your shoulder rather than directly on you, his expression thoughtful.Â
"My therapist taught me a few tricks," he says with a small shrug. "Matching breathing patterns was one of them."
Your heart races again, for different reasons this time. The ring, the fucking black ring. Heâs a widower. You donât know whether to laugh or scream at the fact that heâs not married, and you arenât a homewrecker. But then you feel real fucking horrible for different reasons, youre brain sabotaging again.Â
âIâm sorry about your wife. Iâm sorry if that reminded you of back then, or whenever it happened I donât know, I don't want to assume-â
âShh, take a deep breath for me. Youâre good, sweetheart.Â
He brings a palm to your cheek, engulfing it. Â
âYeah? Itâs okay. Donât worry âbout it. It was a long time ago.â
You breathe in slowly for the fucking hundredth time that night, calming down. Â
âYou feelinâ better now?â He asks gently.
You nod, biting your tongue to stop from apologising again.Â
âYes, thank you.â
It slips out before he can stop it.Â
âGood girl.â
Your thighs instinctively clench, and you see him stiffen as he notices. You both stare at each other, feeling tension coil in the air between you. A moment passes.Â
âI could help you, you know.â
You blink, confused.Â
He rubs your cheek gently, eyes boring into yours. His expression is blank, neutral.Â
âI could help you relax, get out of your brain for a little.â
He pauses.
âLike that night in the bar. You liked that, didn't you? Somebody taking control.â
Your breath hitches, and you mumble a âyes.â
âLouder, sweetheart. If weâre gonna do this, you need to speak clearly.â
His voice is stern, gravelly. And your brain is calm for the first time in weeks, since that night. The validation you crave so desperately, the sense of comfort that would help with escaping your brain, perhaps it is held in the palm of Jack Abbotâs hands.Â
Slowly, you nod.Â
âYes Dr Abbot, Iâd like you to help me.â
He smirks, the edges of lips pulling up.Â
âAtta girl. Câmon then, get up for me.â
You follow his lead, mind hazy as he holds your hands and guides you to his chair.Â
âIâm gonna sit, then you're gonna sit right here, on my lap. And then Iâll help you, yeah?â
You nod again.Â
âWords, sweetheart.â
âYes, Dr Abbot.â
He smiles, proudly. Your brain turns to mush again, pussy fluttering.
Heâs so handsome. Â
Pulling you onto his lap sideways, your legs draping over his thighs, he caresses your hair. Fuck, it feels so good. You nuzzle your head into his neck, whimpering softly as he coos, "such a good girl, my smart girl, yeah? smartest in the whole damn class.â Â
Then he brings his fat fingers to your skirt, tracing circles on yout thighs near the hem. Inching close, but never slipping under.Â
âPlease, please Dr Abbot, touch me.â
âYeah, you want me to touch that little pussy? Want me to make you feel good? So you can rest your pretty brain?âÂ
He taps your head.Â
You whine âyes, yes please sir.âÂ
You feel his cock jerk up under you. He groans. Â
âFuckinâ hell, sweetheart. Say that again.â
âPlease, Sir, please touch me.â
âWhatever you want, pretty girl.â Â
Then he finally flips your skirt up, and starts rubbing slowly over your panties. On your lips, your folds, through your soaked underwear. You wrap your arms around his neck, begging him, please.Â
He brings a finger to your clit, mutters lowly, âright here sweetheart?â and you nod, whining.Â
He rubs gentle circles on your clit, your slick helping his finger move smoothly even over your panties. Buries his face in your hair as he continues rubbing. He breathily exhales, as if simply your pleasure was turning him on .Â
âThatâs it, just let go sweetheart. Let me take care of you, yeah?â
âFuck- right there.â
You buck up in his hold.Â
And he stops, a hand splaying over your thighs to stop you from squirming.
âFuckinâ stop that, or this is going to be over a lot quicker thank youâd like.âÂ
You feel the hardness of his cock under you, prodding below your ass. Your brain is mush, the words slipping by themself. Â
You nod tucking your head in his neck, âYeah, yeah sir Iâll stop, please- fuck. Please keep going.âÂ
âThatâs my good girl.âÂ
And he starts rubbing over your clit again, kissing down your cheeks, down your neck, murmuring âyeah? yeahâ as he inhaled your musk.
You whimper, arching your neck as you get closer to your release, feeling it build up low in your stomach the faster his circles get. Â
âFuck Iâm going to come! Pl- please let me come sir.â
âYeah? Is my good girl gonna come? You gonna come for Dr Abbot?â He groans, low and husky.Â
And fuck, that gets you. You close your eyes as your orgasm hits you, pleasure washing over.Â
You mutter whimpers of his name as you come, squirming as much as he lets you, clenching your thighs in his palm.
In the haze of your orgasm, you hear him, moaning. He jerks up, moaning in your ear, face pressed against your hair, babbling. Â
âFuck- sweetheart, did so good for me, fucking coming all over my fingers, fuck!â
The last word comes out as something resembling a whine. His hips buck up once, twice, before you feel warmth spreading under you.Â
Did he just⌠orgasm?
Both of you pant harshly, him into your hair, forehead pressed against your head. And you look down, seeing your soaking panties, his hands splayed over your thighs. A smile overtakes your face, god, you felt alive.Â
And he came. In his pants. God, you love old men. But as a giggle bubbles up in your throat, he stiffens.Â
You see his hands leave you, and before you can even process what's happening, he's gently but firmly moving you off his lap, tugging your skirt back into place.Â
"Fuck."
The curse leaves him under his breath, as he immediately turns away in his chair, one hand dragging through his curls.
You stand there, still dazed as he refuses to look at you.Â
âFuck, um. You should leave and I- I think-â
The words die halfway through. You watch him struggle to find them.
âYeah, you should leave,â he awkwardly mutters as he covers the wet patch on his pants. You're still breathing heavily, and furrow your brows.Â
What the fuck?
Youâre so utterly mortified. Still in the post orgasmic haze, standing there feeling horribly exposed, your brain sluggish and foggy and vulnerable.
And through that stupid fog you pick your bag up from the seat, smooth out your skirt. Avoiding eye contact, you wobble out of the room, tears pooling in your eyes.Â
Fuck old men. You hate old men.
After hours of sobbing into your pillow, and spiralling about how people will use you for your body, and nobody will be able to save you, and youâre going to die alone, you reached a conclusion. Probably a delusional conclusion, but a conclusion nonetheless.
He was embarrassed, thatâs all. The man had simply come in his pants. Which, admittedly, would be humiliating for anyone. Youâre so young and sexy that he was embarrassed he came in his pants. He definitely still wants you.Â
The thought soothed you enough to stop crying, enough to prevent you from throwing yourself dramatically into the nearest body of water.
It's when youâre holed up in your dorm room, buried under the blankets reading a fic, when your spiral begins again.Â
Because you get a text from an unknown number.Â
Hi. I wanted to apologise for yesterday. Â
That was incredibly impolite of me, I got way in over my head.
Then two minutes later.Â
And I wanted to check in.Â
Are you feeling better?
Chat, what if you fucking killed yourself?Â
The perfect grammar and punctuation made your stomach churn in lust. The way you could hear him grumble that out in his husky voice, gravelly warmth beneath every syllable.Â
Stop.
Objectively speaking, this man had sent you into an emotional crisis less than twenty-four hours ago. He basically kicked you out after giving you another toe curling orgasm.Â
And yet somehow all it takes is three perfectly punctuated texts and you're smiling into your pillow like an idiot. Whatever, stay nonchalant.Â
So you ignore his apology and reply to the latter half.Â
Hey, iâm okay thanksÂ
Wow, look at you go.Â
His reply is almost immediate.
Good.Â
Good girl.Â
You take a deep breath in, pull your blanket over your head. Fuck. Fuck this stupid old man and his ability to make your pussy throb with two words.Â
You genuinely have no clue what to reply, stupid. Stupid woman who canât even formulate a reply and be flirtatious.Â
You type something.
Delete it.
Type something else.
Delete that too.
Your chest develops a familiar buzzing anxiety. This, by the way, is exactly why maintaining relationships has always felt so difficult. Everyone else seems to possess some innate understanding of social interaction that you're missing entirely.Â
What are you supposed to say?
Thanks for checking on me after kicking me out?
Sorry for crying in your office?
Please stop being unexpectedly kind after making me come so hard because it's making this significantly harder?
After two minutes of spiralling, or five, or ten, you donât even fucking know at this point, your phone buzzes again. Â
Can I see you?Â
Please.
Your breath stutters.Â
yeah sure
When do your classes finish today?
At 3pm
Okay. Iâll meet you at Sapphos.
Fuck, you hate how he doesnât ask you. Just makes a statement, tells you what to do. You hate how that turns you on, and even worse, how good it feels to not have to make decisions for yourself, for once.Â
But also, that cafe was off campus. Realistically, should you be potentially jeopardising your academic career with this emotionally unavailable older man, who will definitely be using you for your body if this continues? No, but are you lonely and so fucking bored with the stangancy of your life? Well, yes.Â
And so unfortunately, rational thought has never stood much of a chance against loneliness. Against the quiet ache that follows you home every evening, and the possibility of spending a few hours with somebody who sees you.
So your dumbass agrees.Â
Okay ! iâll see u soonÂ
See you soon, sweetheart.Â
Sitting and staring out the window of some cafe he randomly picked, Jack doesnât know what the fuck heâs doing. He doesn't know how many times a man can call something a lapse in judgement before it stops being a âlapseâ and starts becoming a conscious choice.
He got in way over his head after making you come on his lap, spiralling. Yes, it was the sheer humiliation of coming in his pants (which was a nightmare to clean off, by the way) but also, there was the humiliation of losing control of himself after years of carefully maintaining it, the mortifying reality of having to go home and sit alone with the consequences of it all. Â
What was worse was somewhere along the way you'd managed to reach inside him and pull loose something from his heart he'd thought had calcified years ago, something he'd buried beneath research papers, lecture halls, and the endless routines he'd constructed around himself after his wife died.
And he knows, he knows, you deserve someone better. He was a widow for Christ's sake, probably three decades or somewhere very close to that, older than you. And youâre young. Thoughtful. Young enough that your entire life still seems stretched out in front of you. Even your anxieties, the things that weigh you down, feel temporary in a way his never will.Â
You still have time to become whoever you're meant to be.
Jack feels as though he's already become whoever he's going to be.
He thinks about the way you looked during your panic attack, how hard you'd been trying to keep it together even as everything was falling apart. He thinks about how quickly you apologised for taking up space, for having feelings, for being overwhelmed.
And he didn't pity you, God, no. It wasn't that. He understood it. The loneliness. The exhaustion. The feeling that if you stopped holding yourself together for even a second, everything might collapse.
But he also saw the way your brain shut down, the way you trusted him. It made something ache inside his chest, a warm ache, the sort that spread through his ribs and settled somewhere dangerously close to hope.Â
And hope was precisely the problem. Because he couldn't give you anything. Not with the grief and sense of routine buried in him before his teaching, in the chasm of his heart, since his time in the godforsaken military where half his limb was gone.Â
He can't offer you anything but his fingers, or his mouth, between your legs, and you deserve someone better than that.Â
But if that was the only way heâd be able to get you out of his head, then so be it.Â
And so despite all of that, despite every logical argument he could construct, despite every fucking university regulation he was violating right now, his eyes keep drifting towards the cafĂŠ entrance every few seconds.
Jack exhales heavily and rubs a hand across his jaw.
And then you enter. Looking around with an adorably confused look before you spot him, and dare he say, your eyes light up.Â
Abbot, no.Â
But the words slip out as you reach him.Â
âHey sweetheart.â
âHi Dr Abbot.â
You sit opposite him, glancing up at him briefly before staring back down at the table. He hates how endearing he finds it, how he wants to reach across the sticky table and pull your jaw, hold it, and force you to look at him. He wants to see your eyes glaze over the way they did the day prior.Â
He chooses instead to slide the menu across to you, and once you order, he leans back.Â
âDid you have a nice morning?â
He withholds a wince at the awkwardness.Â
âUm, yes. Classes were okay. Thank you?â
The end of the sentence rises almost into a question, as though you're unsure whether that's the correct answer, and something about it makes his chest tighten.
âGood, thatâs good.â
Then an awkward pause. Jack sits there like a complete fucking idiot.
For Christ's sake heâd called you here. And now that you're sitting in front of him, he can't seem to form a coherent sentence.
Get your shit together, Abbot.Â
"Look," he begins, rubbing a hand across his jaw. "I wanted to apologise for yesterday."
Your eyes finally lift from the table.
âIt was wrong of me to let you go like that. Quite frankly I donât even have an excuse I justâŚâ
He trails off, looking behind you out the window for a second. What exactly is he supposed to say?
That the sight of you crying made me feel physically sick? That for one terrifying second Iâd felt something dangerously close to happiness sitting in that office with you? That after years of carefully maintaining the same dull routine Iâd somehow started structuring entire days around whether Iâd see you?
None of those seem particularly appropriate, too intense.Â
"See, no man my age enjoys being reminded that he's still capable of behaving like a teenager."
That makes you smirk a little. His heart warms.Â
âYou mean, you.. coming in your pants?â
Jack groans softly and drags a hand down his face.
âI didn't want to put it so crudely, but well... yes."
"I thought so."
You giggle. And the sound catches him off guard enough that he finds himself smiling despite the mortification currently trying to consume him.
"To be honest," you continue, "I think I understood once I calmed down."
His shoulders loosen slightly.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
You shrug.
"But I'm not going to lie, it didn't feel very good. You kicking me out like that."
The honesty makes him wince.
"And that's exactly why I wanted to apologise, sweetheart." His gaze settles on you properly. Giving you a look that he hoped was earnest. "That was real shitty of me. Iâm truly very sorry.â
You look at him for a few moments in silence, mapping his face. Then once seemingly finding what you were looking for, you reply.Â
âApology accepted.âÂ
The waitress arrives then, setting down your coffee, some monstrosity involving whipped cream and probably enough sugar to send him into cardiac arrest.
Jack eyes it suspiciously, humorously.Â
"What?" you question.Â
"That isn't coffee."
"It literally is."
"Sweetheart, that looks like it barely has any caffeine."
You let out a giggle, again. God, youâve got to fucking stop that if you want his heart to survive. Â
"It has espresso."
"Buried beneath, what? Three inches of whipped cream."
"Whatever, youâre just old and grumpy."
You grin. The grin grows wider when he continues staring at the drink with visible disappointment.
For some reason that finally breaks whatever lingering awkwardness remains between the two of you. The conversation begins flowing after that.
He makes a witty remark, you giggle. And you manage to make him laugh as well, coming out of your shell.Â
Then the conversation shifts to that night at the bar.Â
âYeah so if he wasn't that buff and scary, I wouldn't even have called you over. I would've told him to suck my strap and choke.â
Jack nearly chokes on his coffee, coughing violently. You immediately burst into soft laughter. He wipes his lips with a napkin, grinning.
"Sweetheart."
"What?"
"Please give me some warning before you say things like that."
Your grin grows, eyes sparkling.Â
"Why?"
"Because I'm fifty."
That seems to make your eyes widen imperceptibly, and you look down towards the coffee you ordered, chugging it.Â
Interesting.Â
Neither of you acknowledge the elephant in the room, instead you continue talking, skirting around the edges. Circling the obvious without ever touching it.
And eventually your drinks are empty. People around you start leaving.
Yet neither of you seems particularly eager to end the conversation.
Jack glances at his watch. Then back at you. He really, really shouldn't. But he wants to give you a way out. While still offering you a choice.Â
"I don't have any classes after tomorrow's lecture."
The words leave his mouth casually.
Your eyes flicker up.
"Oh."
A pause.
"I could come see you."
"In my office?"
You immediately look embarrassed.
"Only if that's okay."
God. There it is again, that instinct you have to ask permission for existing.
"Sweetheart."
Your eyes lift.
"It's okay."
The relief that flashes across your face is so immediate it almost hurts to look at.
"Okay."
"Okay."
A smile tugs at the corner of his mouth.
When the bill eventually arrives, he picks it up before you can.
"Dr Abbot-"
"No."
"I can pay for myself."
"I know."
"Then-"
"I know, I know youâre a self sufficient woman. Youâre brilliant. But let me. Iâll pay for it."
Your mouth opens. Closes. Opens again. Jack watches the entire internal battle play across your face.
Then you nod softly, muttering an âokay, thank youâ.Â
Jack's heart clenches again. Genuinely fuck his life.Â
So you think youâve somehow ended up in a situationship or whatever the fuck with your fifty year old professor.Â
Over the course of the past five weeks, you show up in his office after the lectures, and even a few times throughout the week, and he sets you on his lap, or on his desk while he laps at your cunt.Â
Occasionally, he lets you pull out his cock and suck it. Sometimes under his desk, riding his boot as he's grading papers, God, his fucking whimpers when he comes.Â
Unsurprisingly, he also does help you with understanding the content and doing your assignments. Has his own unique methods of doing so.Â
Jack had you sitting on his lap, back to his chest, completely clothed while you were naked, bare.Â
He hooked his face on your shoulder, whispering filth in your ears, telling you to âfocusâ as he rubbed slow circles over your pussy. Smearing the slick oozing out your cunt over your folds, avoiding your clit.Â
You whined and tried to clench your thighs, whispering against his stubbled cheek.Â
âPlease, pl- touch me, Dr Abbot.âÂ
But he'd splayed one wide palm, tightly, over your thigh.
âNo. Type out the rest of the essay, câmon. Then you can come, pretty girl,â heâd muttered in a low voice.Â
And once you did, he'd shoved his fat fingers inside of you, thrusting fast, the other hand alternating between your neck and your nipples, pinching, squeezing. Â
Youâd squirted that day, for the first time, creating a mess of his pants, some landing on his desk.Â
Heâd made you lick it off.Â
Surprisingly, however, you hadnât kissed, not even once. Nor had you fucked, in the penetrative sense.Â
The latter youâre grateful for, because you were a virgin. It was too humiliating of a thought to ever bring up in your twenties now, but thankfully he never brings it up either. You suspect he knows though, from the little details you've unveiled to him over the course of the past few weeks.Â
Talking about your feelings has always been.. difficult. The words choke up and clog the back of your throat when you go to speak. Entire relationships - well, lack of relationships - have been built around your inability to say what you need.Â
But it's easy, sometimes, with Jack. When your brain shuts off in a post orgasmic haze, and you sit in other's company, his hand resting in your hair, or his head buried in your chest, the words bubble out of you.Â
Snippets of memories of your family that you left behind, of the few friends back home, the lack of romance. When you stop speaking halfway through a sentence because you've forgotten how to explain yourself, he simply waits.
Surely he's put two and two together. Â
And you think he has some avoidant issues of his own, the old fuck.Â
He'll spend forty minutes analysing a political institution and somehow avoid answering a direct question about his own feelings.
Yet occasionally things slip through the cracks.
A memory about his wife. An offhand comment about the military that lingers in your mind long after he's moved on to another topic.
You'd had a lengthy conversation one day about that, your radical opinions spilling out before you could stop them, about systemic exploitation and imperialism, about how much you despised the military as an institution. Youâd accuse institutions of manipulating vulnerable people; He agreed more than you'd expected him to. Told you about his journey of basically being forced into it to help his family, about the machinery of poverty and patriotism that pushed kids toward enlistment before they were old enough to understand what they were signing away.
He takes your ideas seriously, but he also looks genuinely delighted when you disagree with him.
And god, thatâs what you were starting to like most about him. The intellect. Yes he has a girthy cock that would probably annihilate you in the best way when (if) the time came, and incredible arms, and his fat pecs. But his brain. Wow.Â
Intelligence has always been your love language, whether you've admitted it or not. And Jack speaks it fluently. Thereâs a sense of strange intimacy and letting others hear your thoughts and opinions. And the ability to be able to talk and have someone just listen, or banter with you â it was rare. Especially for someone as reclusive as you.Â
Unfortunately, you're also smart enough to recognise reality. Whatever this is, it isn't heading anywhere permanent. Because Jack never talks about the future, never makes promises, or gives any indication that he's looking for something lasting.
And honestly? You aren't sure he can. Not after everything he's lost, not with the gap of decades between you. So you tell yourself you're enjoying things exactly as they are. You tell yourself that spending time with him is enough.
And for now, maybe it is.
The problem is that every time he looks at you like you've said something brilliant, every time he remembers some tiny detail about your life, every time his face softens when you walk into a room â this lie gets a little harder to believe.
Five weeks. Jackâs âbriefâ lapse in judgement has lasted five fucking weeks.Â
Every time he sees you enter the lecture, you exchange a secret look, your eyes fluttering, him blushing. He feels like heâs twenty again. It's exhilarating.Â
But the âethical dilemmaâ of it all sat permanently in the back of his mind, festering like an untreated wound.
He knows that every time he let himself enjoy your company, every time he answered one of your messages, every time he found himself smiling at something you'd said hours after the conversation had ended, he was stepping further into territory he had absolutely no business occupying.
The way you trusted him, allowing him to lick into your cunt or set you on his lap and caress you, felt nice. It felt real fucking good to be wanted and desired in some capacity, especially after being touch starved for nearly a decade since his wife.Â
And seeing you under him sucking his cock, fuck.
âDr AbbotâŚ.â you whined in a teasing tone, laced with humour.Â
He groaned, placing his forehead on your back from where you sat on his lap. You definitely wanted something.Â
âWhat?â he huffed out.
Still facing your laptop, you breathed out your next words.Â
âWhen are you going to let me suck your cock?â
He jolted, hips thrusting up.
âJesus Christ sweetheart, warn a guy.â
You said his name again, more firmly.Â
âStop dodging the question.â
He paused.Â
âThis whole⌠us. It's about you, about helping you relax so you can focus on studying. Itâs not about me or my pleasure or-â
âJack.âÂ
He lifted his head from your back, stilling. Youâd never said his first name before.Â
âWhat if doing it would give me pleasure, hm? What then?â
He stayed silent.Â
You twisted in his lap, neck twisting to face him.Â
âI want to taste you, please.â
Widening your eyes, and pouting, you all but begged him. Brought a hand to his stubbled cheek. Â
âPlease, Dr Abbot. Let me do it.âÂ
He sighed. Jack Abbot was a weak, pathetic man when it came to you. Â
âFine,â he grumbled.Â
âGet off, câmon.â
Yeah, it was worth it for the blinding smile you gave him, kissing his cheek. Â
He gently lifted you off his lap, and pulled his chair back to give you some room.Â
Jack nodded, glancing down pointedly.Â
âIf you want it, you gotta do it yourself.â
You kneeled immediately, settling yourself in the gap between his desk, between his open thighs.Â
Unbuckling his belt, staring at his bulge with those doe eyes the entire time, you slowly pulled his cock out.Â
It was hard, leaking, tip red and aching. Your soft hands wrapping around his dick made a drop of precum roll down. He moaned, a low sound emanating from deep in his chest.Â
You slowly twisted your hand up and down his cock, fingers barely stretching around.Â
Jack couldnât wait. He gripped your hair, not too hard, but enough to lift your head up to face him.Â
âYou gonna put your mouth on it or do I need to shove it in?â
You smirked, you vixen.Â
âShove it in, I dare you.â
He groaned, muttering âyou fuckinâ bratâ as he pushed your hands off his cock.
âOpen up, sweetheart.â
You did, tongue lolling out. A drop of drool dripped onto his thighs, and he moaned under his breath.Â
He couldnât wait any longer. Gripping his cock, he fed it into your mouth. Inch by inch.Â
Until you gagged.Â
Feeling your soft throat close around him, he couldn't help but groan your name.
âFuckinâ hell.â
Your hands came up to stroke whatever didn't fit in - which truth be told, was more than half his cock, but it's okay, he'd train you eventually.Â
âCan I help you, sweetheart? Teach you how to take your professor's cock down your throat?â
You nodded quickly, moaning, his cock still in your mouth.Â
Then he guided you through it, holding your head as you sucked him. Muttered praises, filth, to guide you.
âJust like that, sweetheartâ.
âYeah, grip it harderâ.
âSuck the tip, just like that.âÂ
And right before he came, he ripped you off him and wrapped a hand around himself. He whimpered as jerked off furiously over you, until drops of his pearly cum splattered over your tongue.Â
He had never come that hard in his life.Â
Panting harshly, he patted your head.Â
âSwallow.â
Other than the sex, there were also the days where you'd walk into his office and start talking about some article you'd read, your entire face lighting up with excitement, and everything in him would melt. Heâd pull you onto his lap, or set you in front of him, on his desk, and let you talk, feeling the softness of your thighs under his palm as he traced small circles. It was nice to let someone in, fill the void and the silence in his life.Â
There wasnât a label on what you two were, if you even were anything.Â
While at first heâd thought it was common for you to be used to this sort of âcausalnessâ or a friends-with-benefit type situation (or whatever the fuck somebody born two generations after him would call it), he'd come to realise you were actually the opposite. Not that heâd have any issue with either.Â
But from the scattered stories you'd told him about your past, the way you spoke about relationships, and the cautious vulnerability that appeared whenever the subject drifted too close to âfeelingsâ, he'd begun piecing together a picture of someone who felt things deeply and trusted people slowly.
He could calculate you were likely a virgin. And so he never pressurised you, never made the first move to initiate sex, kept his cock to himself, waiting for you. No matter how much he wanted to feel the tightness of your pussy around him.Â
However, his patience is wearing thin, growing precarious with every instance of you bringing another small thing that wedges itself beneath his ribs and refuses to leave.Â
Now he's left with the deeply inconvenient problem of wanting things he really shouldnât want. Not just a warm body near him, but wanting your company, your attention. He wants those afternoons in his office where you do nothing but talk to last a little longer.
All of this wanting, this yearning, is quite frankly, far more than he has any right to want.
Which is exactly why today is proving so unbearable.
He often feels a pit of something bitter bubble in his chest when you interact with someone other than him. Not that it happens frequently - you're quite reserved. But not today. Today, specifically, you seem to be chatting up a boy.Â
When he enters the lecture this morning, you arenât sitting alone like usual, but instead, thereâs some boy next to you. Some boy your age. Dressed in some sort of hideous baggy outfit that hangs off his lanky frame. Is that fashion now? God that fucking punk.Â
Why was he sitting next to you? Distracting you?Â
As he sets up his laptop on the podium, seething under his breath, he hears a giggle. Your breathy giggle, the one he thought only came out with him.Â
His jaw tightens. The lecture hasn't even started, for Christ's sake.
Jack spends the next five minutes attempting to focus on setting up his stupid slides while simultaneously becoming aware of every interaction occurring in your vicinity.
Looking up, he realises it's a grave mistake. Because now you're touching. Touching that punkâs arm.Â
Fuck.Â
Something ugly immediately twists in Jack's stomach, his brows furrowing. Anger bubbles up in his chest.
But he canât do anything but continue on, beginning his lecture, as if he isnât seething with jealousy.Â
Halfway through the lecture, he catches himself directing a question towards your side of the room and immediately wants to launch himself into the sun.
Because you answer, of course, brilliantly as usual. But the boy next to you looks at you with stars in his eyes.
Yeah, Jack wants him expelled.
After a torturous two hours, students begin filing out of the room. Normally, this is the part where he'd catch your eye, maybe exchange some silent look that promised you'd be appearing in his office within the next ten minutes.
Instead, you're still standing beside that boy. And the little prick is making you laugh now. Then you reach out and lightly smack his arm, again.
Jack immediately decides prison might be worth it.Â
He shoves his laptop into his satchel with considerably more force than necessary, and effectively storms out of the room without giving you a second glance.Â
If you wanted to fuck about with some kid your age, then fine, Jack was not going to stop you.Â
By the time he reaches his office he's practically fuming, throwing his bag onto his desk and immediately hating himself for it.
Because what exactly are you guilty of?
Making a friend? Talking to somebody?
The answer is nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
Yet that doesn't stop the ugly feeling sitting beneath his ribs. Yeah, heâs going to commit a fucking crime tonight.Â
Jack Abbot has managed to elicit yet another strange emotion in you. You're staring at the doorway he'd just disappeared through, confused as fuck.Â
He'd packed up and left so quickly you'd barely had time to process it, when usually, you walk to his office together.Â
Once James - the man you were talking to - leaves with your Instagram to âorganise a study sessionâ, a strange sinking feeling begins to settle in your stomach.
You gather your things slowly, trying not to overthink it but failing spectacularly.
The thing is, you had actually been excited, embarrassingly excited. Somehow, after weeks of mostly keeping to yourself, after spending the majority of your university experience drifting between classes and then disappearing home, you'd accidentally made a friend today randomly. For the first time somebody actually came and fucking sat next you and talked to you.Â
And the first person you'd wanted to tell was Jack. Which was probably concerning. You know how ridiculous it is that every interesting thing that happens in your day somehow circles back to him.
You'd actually spent the last ten minutes of class thinking about it, thinking about walking into his office and saying, "I made a friend today." And hearing whatever sarcastic response he'd inevitably come up with as he pulled you into his lap. Maybe teasing you about finally socialising - a topic he often teased you about -Â or maybe pretending to be shocked.
Instead he'd practically fled the room.
By the time you reach his office, the excitement has mostly dissolved into uncertainty, and a sick, sick feeling. Your brain convinces you he hates you, heâs sick of you. The affair with the pretty young thing is over.Â
Your hand hovers over the door, then knocks.
A gruff voice immediately answers.
"Come in."
You push the door open, and there he is standing beside his desk.
His jaw is clenched, his shoulders rigid.
And suddenly you're no longer excited to tell him anything. Instead you're left standing there wondering what exactly you did wrong.
He stalks up to you, and shuts the door behind you with enough force to make you jump. For a moment he simply stands there, broad chest rising and falling, staring at you as though he's trying to decide whether to throttle you or kiss you.
âWho the fuck was that boy?â
Youâre confused.Â
âWho?â
âDon't play games with me, sweetheart.â
âJames?â you ask, tilting your head. âOh heâs just a⌠friend I made. We decided to share notes for the course.â
His jaw visibly tenses.
âThe fuck you mean you âshare notesâ?â He exaggerates the last two words, mocking the phrase in a deliberately high-pitched voice. âDonât I give you enough notes to go off? I'm not teachinâ you well enough, so now you gotta go to some punk to share notes?
âJack, itâs not like that, I just-â
âDr Abbot.â He interrupts.
The correction slices straight through you.
âWhat?â
He walks up closer to you, until your back hits the door and youâre pinned against it. He tilts his head down to peer at you.Â
âItâs Dr Abbot when youâre in my office, sweetheart,â His voice drops lower. âIâm still your professor.âÂ
You scoff at that, hurt. Itâs not hot to you, no. In that moment your brain forces you to think about how every moment you've spent together has happened in this room, only in this room. And maybe that's all there is, and maybe that's all there ever was. You convince you that you guys canât exist out of this space, this dynamic that exists between the two of you.Â
Can he just not have a civil conversation? Why is pretending to act jealous? If he wanted to fuck you he could just ask.Â
You swallow hard.
âRight,â you say lowly. âMy professor.â
The words taste bitter.
âThe one who only seems to want me when we're in here.â
His brows furrow immediately.
âThat's not what-â
âNo, itâs okay. Let me finish. The one who shoves his face between my thighs when he feels lonely to cure whatever fucked up grief he keeps bottled up inside of him. The one who refuses to see me outside the four walls of this godforsaken office-â
âEnough.â
You see something that resembles hurt flash across his face, his brows creasing. The lines around his eyes deepen.
âIs that really what you think of me?â He whispers, staring at you.
You twitch uncomfortably under him, looking at the floor, confidence evaporating now that you've actually said out loud what youâve been spiralling over ever since this began.
âI just...â Your voice cracks slightly. âLook, you don't have to act possessive, okay? Whatever we have this- this thing. I know it doesnât mean much to you.â
Jack immediately opens his mouth, but you keep rambling.
âWhich is fine. Seriously. I'm okay with that.â Your hands shake slightly at your sides. âBut just donât give me false hope. Iâm happy with you being my professor, or my dom, or whatever the fuck. And I like that you help me study and talk and get out of my head and feel good, but thereâs no need to act like you- like you care. I can't handle feeling like you care one minute and then being reminded none of this is real the next.âÂ
You're panting hard by the end of your rant, still refusing to look at him.Â
âSweetheart, look at me.â
You shake your head, tears of frustration welling up at letting yourself be seen like this, vulnerable. You promised yourself you wouldnât ever tell him. Stupid.Â
Sex, thatâs easy. Itâs the meshing of two bodies, itâs clinical - you orgasm, your brain feels hazy and good while he drives you there. But this, talking, about feelings of all things, fuck. You canât let anyone see you like that. Because then, they get sick of you, and then they leave.Â
âCâmon, look at me,â he pleads.
You wipe your eyes, about to tell him to move back so you can leave, but then he says your name. Softly. Not sweetheart. Not pretty girl. But your actual name.
âPlease.â
You look up then, tears pooling in your eyes. And your breath catches.
Because Jack looks devastated. His eyes are red around the edges, and his mouth is pulled into a frown.Â
His hand rises slowly, cupping your cheek. He gently swipes a thumb under your eye.Â
âHey, I need you to know - this is real. To me.â
His voice cracks.
âIâm not using you as some sort of placeholder or whatever self sabotaging bullshit youâve created in your head okay?â
Then he inhales deeply.Â
âYou've become the best part of my day. I wake up and mentally map my days around you. Hearing you talk loosens the constant ache I feel.â
Jack closes his eyes briefly.
Then opens them again. His hand tightens against your cheek.
âSweetheart, I love you.â
You still.Â
Your lip quivers as you stare at him.Â
You bring your own hand up to cup his, and look up through your lashes.Â
The words get stuck in your throat. God. He loves you. Somebody loves you. Somebody saw through rot and the cage around your heart, and said he fucking loves you.
âI do. Too. That thing,â you wince at your awkwardness. âI just, I want to say it but I-"
âHey pretty girl, itâs okay.â
Jack smiles sadly. He leans his forehead down to yours.
âI do,â you whisper desperately. âI do. I just-â
âShh.â
His mouth nearly presses against you as he whispers again.
âI love you. And Iâll wait however long you need me to say it back, okay?â
Your breath shudders as he says that, a sob catching in your throat. Because for the first time in a very long time, nobody leaves.Â
Your eyes squeeze shut. Tears roll down your cheek, overwhelmed.
You barely register them before you feel Jackâs lips against your skin, kissing your tears. He mutters soft, âI love youâs as he presses kisses all over your face, cradling it. He presses one last one on your forehead before he tucks you into him.Â
Your cheek rests on his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
You wrap your arms around his waist. And you genuinely think you can control it, for about ten seconds at most, then you sob. Uncontrollably, for the first time in years in front of another human.Â
Because God. You have spent so much of your life believing that love was something you had to earn, something you had to perform correctly for your family, the people around you, to accept you. Something that disappeared the second you became too much, too emotional, too difficult, too needy.
But he stayed. And he saw you.Â
You stand there, wrapped in each other's embrace until the tears slow. Jack gently wipes your cheeks with both hands.
âSorry for making you cry, princess,â he pouts, lip jutting out exaggerately.Â
A watery laugh leaves you at that, and you cup his cheek. Jack immediately leans into your palm.
Jack watches you with an expression so openly adoring it nearly steals the breath from your lungs. As though he's still struggling to believe you're real.
Your thumb traces the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, mapped with years lived longer than you.
Then your hand drifts lower, brushing against the silver-grey scruff along his jaw, littered with specks of auburn, and you rub it gently, feeling the coarseness between your fingertips.
That was it, was it not? The stark difference between you, the thing that made all this so exhilarating.Â
Jack had lived a life that existed before you. And somehow, impossibly, it had still found its way to yours. As though he's spent years wandering through darkness and has suddenly found something worth staying for.
And perhaps, you realise, so have you.
Thatâs when you know.
âIâm ready,â you breathe out.
Jack's eyes widen, his hand coming to hold yours where it rests on his jaw.
âAre you sure? I donât want you to feel pressured into it.â
âJack. Iâm sure. I want this, I want you.â
He shudders, exhaling hard, bringing his face down to yours.
âYeah?â He whispers against your lips, brushing them.
âYeah.âÂ
Then his lips slam down onto yours, for the first time.Â
And God, its everything you fucking imagined.Â
His mouth presses against yours and soft whimpers escape the both of you. Thereâs a certain desperation in the way his mouth moves against yours, in the way your tongues immediately find each other.Â
After a few brutal minutes of grinding against each other, moaning, Jack succumbs. He lifts you into his hands, your thighs wrapping around his waist, as he carries you to his desk and sets you on it.
Mouth still pressed against yours, he rips your shirt off, pulls your jeans and panties off, shoving them to the floor.Â
He whines as you detach your lips from his to pull his blazer off. Looking up at him, naked on his desk, you unbutton his shirt. Trail your fingers down the dusting of salt and pepper chest hair, down, over his pecs, slightly raking your nails over his nipples.
âFuck yeah, use your nails on my chest,â he grunts out as he unzips his pants.
You moan, pressing against him harder.
âI canât wait any longer, fuck. Please, sweetheart, let me fuck you.â
You nod.
âIâm ready, Dr Abbot.â
He groans mutters âyou fucking minxâ as he pulls his pants and boxers down, standing bare in front of you.
His cock hits his soft stomach, curving to the left, precum coating the tip, the way you love.Â
You glance down at his prosthetic.Â
âYou sure you want to do this here, Jack? We can go on the sofa if you want.â
He looks at you with so much adoration, a soft smile gracing his face.
âNo sweetheart, I'll keep it on for now. Wanna fuck you on my desk. â
Then he pinches your nipples as he leans in.Â
âAnd I still need to fuck the brat out of you.â
You whine.
âWhat are you waiting for then?â
He brings a hand down your stomach, fingers pressing up against you.Â
âGonna finger you a little bit, yeah? Get you ready for your professor's cock, sânot gonna fit in this tight pussy otherwise.â
A whimper escapes you at his crude words, god can this old man dirty talk. Â
He slowly slips two fingers inside of you, thrusting, then three once youâre ready. Circles your clit softly, the way heâs learnt after many nights on this same desk.Â
Whispers filth against your lips, kissing you, desperate now that he knows what your lips taste like after many weeks.Â
Once you come, he finally presses his cock against you. Rubs the tip over your folds, coating it in your slick.Â
âYeah? You ready sweetheart?â
You nod, whisper a soft âpleaseâ against his lips.Â
Then he pushes his tip into you. And oh fuck. Heâs just so fucking thick.Â
He immediately brings a hand up to hold his base to stave off his orgasm, puts his head on your shoulder. Breathing harshly.Â
It hurts a little but you want more, you crave the feeling of him pressed up against you. So you buck your hips.Â
âPlease, Jack, fuck. Put it in,â you whine.Â
âOh- oh shit. Fucking stop that.â
He lays a hand flat on your thigh. Breathes deeply.Â
âIâm trying not to blow my load here, sweetheart, gimme a sec.â
You giggle softly, pleased. Having this old man at your mercy, your dreams come true.Â
âTake your time, old man.â
He stills at that, grips your waist harshly.Â
Looks up at you, his eyes darkening.Â
âFuck you,â he snarls.Â
Then he presses into you, inch by inch, until all of him is buried inside. His thighs shake with the effort of not coming, and you breathe deeply through the pinch of pain.Â
âFuck princess, so tight for me, my good fucking girl,â he babbles in your ear.Â
You whimper against him, waiting for the pain to subside.Â
Then you nod. And he begins thrusting, slowly. And it's so fucking euphoric, the feeling of sex. It makes sense why they call orgasms âa little deathâ in French, because god, you know your body will leave your soul once he starts properly fucking you.Â
With every deep thrust of his cock into you, his grey pubes brush against your clit. You both moan softly. He grips your waist, shoving faster, harder.Â
âOnly man thatâs ever gonna be in this pussy yeah? Yeah?â
Youâre half gone drooling against his neck, letting out high pitched whines.Â
âNod for me, câmon. I havenât fucked the brains outta you yet.âÂ
Jack grips your hair tight, pulling your head away from where it was buried against his neck.Â
You nod, slurring your words.
âYeah Dr Abbot, sâonly your pussy.â
âThatâs it, good fucking girl.â
Then he starts thrusting, faster. Your hands rest on his shoulders, his face buried in your neck. His body slamming into yours is so hard it makes the table squeak under you.Â
When he brings a hand to your clit, you whimper loudly. He covers your mouth with his palm, and stops immediately.Â
âQuiet, you donât want anyone to hear right?âÂ
He roughly pants, trailing a line of kisses up your neck.Â
âDonât want them to know your professorâs fucking you, right?â
You shake your head, words muffled under his palm.Â
âIâll be quiet please, fuck please!âÂ
He starts thrusting against faster, the table shaking. You toss your head back in pleasure, his cock reaching a spot deep inside you. He stares at you, at your face twisted in pleasure, the way your tits bounce as he thrusts into you.Â
âYeah that is it, baby, good fucking girl.â
God it feels so good, and youâre there, you're nearly there, egged on by his rough groans and whimpers in your ear. You bring a hand down to your clit, starting to rub it to reach your orgasm but he shoves it off. Pushes you onto the table, your back hitting the desk.Â
âThatâs my job sweetheart. This pussy is mine.â
Then he hovers over you, eyes boring into yours as he fucks you harder, rubbing circles on your clit. The pleasure is so, so overwhelming and you close your eyes.Â
He pulls your head towards him, gripping your jaw.Â
âCâmon, look at me sweetheart.â
You open your eyes, moaning.Â
âSay it,â he grunts. âSay youâre mine. Say it.â
âFuck- Dr Abbot, Iâm yours.â
He moans gutturally then pushes his lips onto yours again. You both moan into each other's mouths, sloppily kissing as you build towards your peak. Â
âFuck yeah sweetheart, just like that- good girl, so fucking tight.â
He continues to mutter filth against you while all you can do is softly moan. Your brain is mush, filled with thoughts of him, jackjackjack.Â
You clench tightly around him when he bites your bottom lip.
âCâmon tell me how good you feel,â he pants, nearing his own orgasm.Â
âFuck, Daddy, feels so good.â
His hips buck once, harshly, then he stills.Â
âWhatâd you just call me?â
Your eyes come into focus. The fog clearing a bit.Â
You stammer, âUm nothing, sir, I was just-â
âNo. Repeat it.â
He trails a hand to your neck, squeezing gently once, then more harshly
âWhat did you call me?â
âDaddy,â you whisper out.
He pouts mockingly.Â
âYeah? Daddy makinâ you feel good, baby? Thatâs why you're grippinâ this cock so tight, right?â
And then he starts thrusting, harder than before.Â
âJust. Let. Daddy. Take Care. Of. You,â He harshly thrusts between each word, one hand covering your mouth as your moans get louder.Â
Then you feel your orgasm approaching, the flutter building up again, clenching around him.Â
He looks into your eyes, only a thin ring of hazel left, his pupils so dilated.
âYou gonna come for your Daddy? Yeah?âÂ
You nod, whining, then you bite his palm. Hard.Â
His hips stutter and you feel the warmth of his spend pooling in your cunt. He whimpers and babbles your name as he comes, âfuck, fuck I love you. I love you so fucking much.â
You moan at his words. But you still have to come.Â
âJack please, please keep going.âÂ
He groans gutterly as his cock begins to soften, overstimulated but he continues thrusting jerkily.Â
He grips your chin in his palm.Â
âFuckinâ come for me. Now,â he grunts out, pinching your clit roughly.
And then it happens. You write, moaning under his hands as the coil of pleasure snaps, closing your eyes.Â
He whimpers soft praises and coos of âI love you, did so good for meâ as his cock spurts out more cum, twitching.
You pant against each other's mouths for a few long moments, his scruff tickling your chin, his forehead resting against yours, both of you trying and failing to steady your breathing.
âFuckinâ hell, sweetheart,â he murmurs, a breathless laugh escaping him. âThat live up to your expectations?â
You laugh softly nodding.Â
âMhm.â
He leans his head back to look at you properly once heâs cooled down, and holds your face in his palms.Â
After a few long seconds of just staring, something grave passed over his face.
âDonât think I got a lot of years left, sweetheart.â
Your brows immediately furrow.
âJack-â
He presses a finger to your lips when you go to interrupt, shushing you.Â
âLet me speak.â
You sigh, but nod.Â
âI've spent most of my life thinkin' there'd only ever be one great love for me,â he says quietly, his thumb brushing beneath your eye. âAnd after I lost her, I figured that was it. Figured whatever part of me knew how to belong to somebody had gone with her.â
Your breath stutters.Â
âThen you came along. In that fucking bar, wearing that tiny dress, asking me to help you. â
A watery laugh escapes you.
âAnd whatever years I have left, I wanna spend them with you. I wanna hear every thought that gets trapped in that head of yours. I wanna know what articles you're reading, what you're writing, what you're dreaminâ about at three in the morning.â
He pauses.Â
âI wanna be the person you come home to.â
Your breath catches.
âAs your other. If youâd want.âÂ
You breathe out, seeing his face dimly lit by the lamp in his office. Mapping out his wrinkles near his eyes, the silver threaded in his slight beard and his soft smile. And suddenly it comes spilling out of you before anxiety can stop it.
âI love you.â
Jack stills completely. His eyes pool with tears.Â
âYeah?â He whispers, half surprised, half in awe. Â
You nod, leaning up and brushing your nose against his.
âAnd Iâd love to be yours.â
Relief washes over his face so intensely it almost hurts to witness. His eyes glisten as he kisses you softly, a slow, reverent press of his lips against yours for a few quiet moments.
Then he moves back to start cleaning up, cock still inside you.Â
As he leans up, his back cracks, loudly.Â
You both still. Before you burst out laughing.Â
âYouâre so fucking old⌠yeah youâre not making it very long, I canât lie.â
He groans dramatically, rolling his eyes to the ceiling.  Â
âFuck you, shut up.â
You bite your lip. His gaze travels there. Â
âMake me, Dr Abbot,â you say, exaggerating a whimper, only half serious.
His eyes darken, his jaw clenching so hard a muscle jumps beneath the skin. Yet despite the stern look he's trying to give you, a pink flush begins creeping across his cheeks, spreading over the tops of them and disappearing beneath the scruff along his jaw.
âYeah sweetheart, about that⌠Iâm not gonna be able to get it up for a while.â
You break, laughing harder as he laments. Heâs so fucking old.Â
Once you calm down, he slowly pulls his cock out of you, both of you moaning, you at the loss of the fullness, him at your shared cum oozing out.Â
âBut my mouth still works,â he smirks.Â
Your breath hitches as he plugs you with his fingers to stop more of your cum from spilling out. Leans in close, and whispers.Â
âMy legâs killing me, sweetheart,â he begins, breath fanning over your face. âBut I'm going to lie on that sofa right there. And you're gonna ride my face till you come. Again. And again.â
You whimper softly against his mouth.Â
âOkay.â
âOkay, who, pretty girl?â
âOkay, Daddy.â
He grins.Â
âGood girl.â
omg hi u made it ! guys when i tell you this is so personal to me, from the dialgoue to the experimental (?) writing style. i need this man to be my father figure SO FUCKING BAD i have had such a week.
anyways per usual thank you to @tempestfawn for perving out with me and tolerating me, and salima for being horny over this man among other things #fullhomo
the first time you asked, jack laughed and shook his head. kissing your temple and uttering something along the lines of good one baby, as if you were joking.
the second time he didn't even look up from his book. laid against the headboard with his readers perched low, a soft nope on turning the page. you huffed.
the third time you changed tactic. jack always struggled to think straight when your hands were on him, stroking, rubbing, squeezing the outline of his cock over trousers. he was making dinner when you interrupted and started working him up until he was giving in to your attention. it wasn't til you dropped to your knees, freed him from his sweats and ran your tongue along his reddened tip that he asked what you wanted.
"just makin my boyfriend feel good" you mumbled against his length, "feel goods, doesn't it jackie?"
his breath hitched when you took him in your mouth fully, "fuck baby", hand coming to fist your hair as the counter top took the rest of his weight. "what's gotten into you today hm" you hollowed out your cheeks, head bobbing as his cockhead neared the back of your throat on every take. you could tell he was close when his dick twitched against your tongue and the soft grunts grew louder above you. that's when you pulled off him, batting your eyelashes at his confusion.
"what-"
"it'll be fun" you lazily fisted his cock, keeping him alert. "please jackie, get to watch us fuck whenever you want" you licked a bead of precum away, his hips jolting at the feel of your tongue again. "don't you want that?"
"fuck" how could he say no to you? "fine"
you let him cum in your mouth to seal the deal. a sex tape.
-
he struggled a little at first. settling in as if there wasn't a camera capturing his every move on you. you'd set it up at the foot of the bed, feeling your pussy grow damp as you imagined the angles. being able to see how jack looked as he fucked into you, muscles straining, his face when he was cock deep in your cunt.
"relax baby" you purred against his stubble, nuzzling at him. "this is so fucking hot, gonna watch you fuck me over and over and oh-"
you needn't say any more. jack interupted you with his mouth on yours, sucking on your bottom lip with such fervour your chin was coated in his spit.
"gonna make you feel so good baby, make you cum for the camera yeah?" any performance anxiety he had disappeared when your back arched, bare tits pressing into his face as he circled his tongue around your nipple and rolled the other between fingertips.
"fuck jack 'm so wet, touch me, please" you weren't playing up to the camera. sex was always like this between the two of you, so much dirty talk and instruction, pleads and encouragement. you were just excited you'd finally be able to play some of it back.
your pussy jumped when you felt jacks breath between your legs. a kitten lick to your clit and a pull on your thighs then he was face deep, eating you to the high heavens. he moaned into you, hips gyrating against the sheets absentmindendly until he was chasing his own release in tandem with yours.
you fisted his hair with one hand and fucked his face til you were coming all over it. he came to his knees in time to avoid blowing his load all over the bed before he'd even had the chance of being inside you.
"on your knees baby"
you planted yourself at an angle that showcased your glistening cunt, all puffy and wide open for the camera to see. jack had already discarded his prosthetic at the same time as his clothes, positioning you just right in front of him. his hands smoothed over your ass, rolling the flesh before a palm came to thwack one of your cheeks.
"mmmpf, please jack-" he rubbed away the sting. "need your cock baby. please"
the whine in your plea was just too perfect for him not to give in. you looked back over your shoulder to see him stroking himself, eyes dark and concentrating on your sopping hole as he pushed into you. slow at first but you were too impatient, sinking back on your knees to take all of him hard and fast.
"jesus fuck- slow down angel" he huffed a laugh. "you tryna kill this old man?"
that didn't help his cause, pussy clamping down around his cock because he knew how tight it made you. to refer to the age gap between you, calling himself your daddy and you his baby girl. it always elicited pure pornagraphic moans from you and this was no exception.
his hand stroked up your spine, landing at the nape of your neck. he held you there when he started to fuck you hard, face shoved into the mattress and hair tangled between fingers. jack loomed over you, deep hard thrusts until just the sound of skin slapping against skin filled the room.
"my good girl, takin me so well, so perfect"
"j-jack, my g-god" your words stuttered in line with each thrust.
"that's it, make some noise, show the camera how good 'm makin you feel yeah" his voice was low and gravelly, concentrating hard, snapping his hips harder and faster.
"so good jackie, fuck, so close-" your knuckles paled as you fisted the sheets above your head "gonna c-cum-"
that magic word had jack panting and pulling out of you at the same time. you whined at the sudden emptiness but it was mere seconds before he was pulling you up and round.
"want the camera to see how pretty you look when you cum" he leant back, tugging you on top of him til you were sinking back onto his cock, head thrown back at the returning fullness.
"come on that's it, fuck yourself on me" he moved the strands of hair from your face, a gentle gesture that opposed the roughness of his other hand digging into your hip. "fuck yourself baby"
you wasted no time in rolling your hips, a figure of eight then up and down, wanting to feel him hit every part inside you.
"god you look so good, not gonna last much longer..."
"oh, fuckfuckfuck-" the sudden shrillness of your pants accompanied his deep grunts, pushing eachother to the edge as your hips worked manically against him. you came when his thumb found your clit (with ease), the tight circles snapping the band in your stomach, gushing all over him with a silent cry.
jack came inside you a second later. fingers deep in the flesh of your thighs, hips jerking up, your name dripping from his tongue. he slowly rocked into you until his thick white mess was oozing out of you and collecting at the base of his cock.
you rode it out together, bodies relaxing against one another after a few minutes of silence.
"can't wait to watch that back" jack pressed a kiss to your cheek, still catching his breath. "you're a fuckin star"

Jack Abbot was one to keep to himself, dating is most definitely not on his radar; apart from the odd few casual encounters since his wife died, he kept people at arms length. But god, Jack was at the end of his tether this week. His residents were playing musical chairs with the dayshift, making it hard to feel like he had a reliable team day in day out; his right hand man was preoccupied with his death trip; the heat of the Pittsburgh summer seemed to turn people in to idiots with the night shifts being particularly grueling; and SWAT had one too many close calls recently, including Jack himself getting caught in the crossfire. Hell, thatâs only the professional aspect of things; his garage door had decided to kick the bucket; the main bathroomâs faucet was constantly leaking, waking him up at regular intervals; heâd broken his favourite mug, the one that has green and yellow flowers that his wife used to drink from every morning; and to top it all off, their son, had decided to stay in his college town five hours away for the summer, going essentially MIA, dodging Jackâs calls for the past two weeks. He couldnât even blame him for it, Jack had no right to want to hop in his car and go and drag him back home to visit, not when Jack essentially became a work obsessed shell of himself in the five years since his wife died. He couldnât be mad at him for not wanting to spend his motherâs fifth anniversary with Jack, who at the best of times could barely say her name to him and refused to acknowledge the fact that he replaced his wife with his work, rather than focusing on his son. It was something he was working on getting better, mainly in an effort to mend his relationship with his son, but Jack had thrown himself into work in the lead up to tonight, hoping and praying that today wouldnât feel so suffocating, but it really wasnât much use. Normally, Jack wouldnât be on his own nursing the end of a glass of whiskey; at the very least Robby would be with him, or even better, he would be at home watching a movie in complete silence with his son, but to him, both had abandoned him and left him with no real option other than to attempt to get completely blind drunk. So, here he was, sat at the bar on a Tuesday evening, pathetically staring into the half drank glass of whiskey that he was tipping around in his hands, like a pathetic cliche, you may as well plaster a sign to his head that say âsad old widower right hereâ to his forehead. But Jackâs brain wasnât focusing too much on how he appears and is much more focused on drowning out his thoughts as much as possible, pushing the thoughts of his dead wife right to the back of his mind. Jack hadnât planned on making the night of his wifeâs fifth anniversary a night that ended with a casual hookup, that was, until you walked into the bar, fresh evening summer air surrounding you as you sat at the free stool beside Jack.Â
When you walked into the bar, you really hadnât planned on even talking to someone, nevermind flirting with anyone; youâd barely been in Pittsburgh for a week, boxes still donned your apartment, your scrubs, text books and the odd piece of cutlery unpacked, the essentials mainly. In need of a change, youâd taken up a position as an ER nurse here in Pittsburgh and at a loose end the day before your first shift, you decided to scope out the local bar scene. Not normally one to go out drinking alone, you shared your location with your friend back home, threw on a casual jumper and jeans and did your make-up to help you feel a bit presentable and popped your book into your bag and headed out the door. Heading to the local, according to google and tiktok anyways, designated cosy bar, you take in the soft light of the warm summer evening that is cast over the bar. Even though it is midweek, the small bar is crowded, with tables of couples softly speaking under orange lighting and red velvet booths providing a level of intimacy to the bar. You walk around for a moment, peaking around the corners of the bar looking for a free table where you wonât feel too exposed on your own, but as it seemed like half of the Pittsburgh population decided to do something similar with their evening, you took the last free seat at the bar. Ordering a glass of chilled white wine, you pull out your book and get comfortable for the evening, enjoying the liberty of reading in a bar where no one knows you. As you settle into your book, the world melts away from you, stress of starting a new job tomorrow evening dissipating completely. Completely engrossed in your book, you donât notice Jackâs intense stare at first, sure, you didnât notice the fact his eyes landed on you the moment you walked into the bar. His mind had been pulled from the rumination spiral by the sight of your hair, if he wasnât thinking straight, Jack would have taken a double glance to make sure you werenât his late wife walking through the door. Not that you looked particularly like her, it was more just the fact that your hair was the same, soft curls falling around your shoulders, half pinned up, just like hers used to be, making him unable to keep fixating on you as you walked around for a minute looking for a table before settling on the stool beside him. After a few minutes, and a nagging feeling that someone is watching you, you look up from your book, and catch Jack's diverting gaze. He had tried not to stare at you, ordering another glass of whiskey and pulling his phone out, but he just couldnât help himself, internally berating himself for being such a cliche tonight. With a slight smile you acknowledge Jack, and the fact that you caught him staring, catching his eye, and return to your book. In what seems like a constrained attempt to get your attention Jack murmurs a gruffedÂ
âSolid book choice sweetheartâÂ
Looking up again with more purpose, you take in the sight sitting beside you, eyes widening slightly at the state of the man sitting beside you. Silver hair speckled with remnants of auburn curls along his forehead, sticking slightly with the humidity of the evening, fierce hazel eyes that bore into you, but really your eyes are drawn to the smirk plastered across his face and the buff arms practically bulging out of his dark cotton polo shirt. In a feeble attempt to cover up you ogling at him, you cough out a softÂ
âOh? Erm thank youâ
Returning your attention back flustered slightly at the sight of the silver fox beside you, spending the first moment or two regulating your breathing, you hardly notice the fact that he wasnât done chatting with you. He lets out a soft cough grabbing your attention as you set your book down to take a sip of your wine.Â
âWell sweetheart, what do you think of it so farâ
A set of firm fingers toy with the edge of the cover, subtly breaching into your personal space, his second whiskey making him a bit more bold. You look up at him wide eyed and cautious,Â
âOh - sorry - I love it, only a few pages in but stillâ taking a beat you add on hastily âI take it youâve read itâ
Shifting in your chair slightly, you turn and face Jack committing to the conversation, you two exchange names, chatting about books and Pittsburgh, as you sip your wine and his whiskey, eyes darkening with a thin layer of desire emerging from the otherwise innocent conversation. Internally you fight with the angel and devil on your shoulders, should you throw caution to the wind and flirt with a random stranger or should you try and be a tiny bit responsible and at leave now. When Jack asks you what a pretty girl like yourself is doing sitting in a bar on her own you you decide to be a little bit truthful, smiling sweetly replying in you attempt being the operative word here at flirtingÂ
âOh you know, at a bit of loose end, being a night owl and new to a city it seemed like a better option than a club, what else is a girl to doâ
âAh a night owl? Seems like weâre birds of a feather here sweetheart.â
Jack takes the opening, reading your slightly flirty tone and expertly complements your hair, your smile and your eyes, causing you to blush head lowered in a bashful stance as you look back up at him and reach out in a moment of boldness and touch his thigh,Â
âYou donât look half bad yourselfâÂ
You cringe at your words, but they seemed to work a treat, with Jack gulping down the rest of his whiskey and murmuring
âWell, sweetheart, I donât normally do this, but I was gonna have one more whiskey back at home, if youâd want to joinâ
You blush at the offer, knowing exactly what he means, and deciding that, yeah you're a big girl now, you should have your fun, and agree to go back with him. The heat of the summer night surrounds the pair of you as you get ready to head out; Jack grabs your bag and places it softly on your shoulder offering you a hand as you walk out if the bar. Leaning into the night, you wrap your arms around his neck and leaning in for a deep kiss while you wait for your uber to arrive, desperate to break through the awkwardness of an uncrossed physical barrier.Â
Once you make it to Jackâs you barely make it through the door before he is pushing you up against it, Jack crowds your space, lips landing messily, engulfing your brain. You barely get a second to become aware of your surroundings; the soft hum of the washer going in the background, the stale smell of takeout lingering in the air, shoes kicked at the foot of the couch, a coffee table covered in papers, and for some reason what looks like to you a tactile vest like the police wear, the sight of it in the dark reminding you that you donât even know what this guy does for a living. In the moment of clarity, you push Jack away from you slightly, his face forming a look of confusion and slight panic that he had pushed it too far, watching you fumble at your bag and pulling out your phone. Mumbling a quick explanation about your friend having your location and if he didnât want the police at his door youâd better text her a quick update. Laughing softly at you, impressed by your attempt at a safety plan, Jack pulled away fully giving you enough space to reply, but not once did he take his eyes off of you, phone pocketed once again, your eyes dance along his silhouette, taking in the buffness of his frame, your hands absentmindedly tracing up his arms pulling him back into your space, taking charge, you press yourself into him, mouths seeking messy kisses and start pushing him further into the space. With a skill of a man who seems like heâs done this a million times over, Jack slides his hands down your back as he deepens the kisses with an open mouthed groan, and uses the leverage of his hands groping your ass in the back pocket of your jeans to turn you around as you get closer to the couch, letting your knees buckle as they hit the armrest of the couch, giving Jack the prime opportunity to crowd your body fully once again. You lie flushed to Jack as his hands roam under your jumper, tugging at the hem to pull it off, with a swift removal of your jumper and a sloppy row of kisses placed on your jaw, Jack returns his attention to your mouth, tongue seeking yours as his hands grope and pull at your tank top, searching for your nipples to sit pinched between his fingers. Pulling away for air again, your hands reach down to the buttons of his jeans, one sliding down slyly, as you return the intensity of his gaze, hand reaching down over the growing tent appearing and you let out a soft moan at the sensation of his hard length twitching at your touch. You grind the palm of your hand against his crotch slightly, eliciting a deep moan from Jack which causes your core to heat even faster, with your panties feeling like they are getting wetter by the second. Looking over Jackâs shoulder as you undo the button and zip slowly, you ask about the vest laying on the table behind him, barely able to steady your voice as you get your first real tactile feel of his hard cock.Â
âIs that a bullet proof vest, you're not a cop are you?â
Jack, taken aback by the question, barely able to focus on anything else but the feeling of your soft hands dancing across his boxers lets out a deep groan and a slightly broken answer.Â
âFuck - ugh - tsâ a hobby ok mâ not - god - a copâ
Itâs been too long since someone has touched Jack like you are right now, his brain is short circuiting like a teenage boy, willing himself to not blow his load right now as you pull him out of his boxers, he does not want to solidify the sad old widower image tonight. You take Jackâs cock fully in your hand, giving him a soft stroke and use your other to help maneuver his hips quickly to the side so you can get out from under him and change the position to sitting in between his knees on the ground. With you both settled down you reach back to his hips and place your hands on either side, taking the tip of his cock into your mouth. Focusing on the tip for a few seconds, you swirl your tongue around the tip, paying close attention to the underside of it and shaft lapping at it quicker in response to the soft moans and slight bucking of hips coming from Jack. Closing your eyes, you prep yourself quickly with a deep breath and take the thick shaft fully into your mouth, hollowing out your cheeks as you bobble up and down his length. As a firm hand reaches for the top of your head your eyes flutter open as you attempt to take the full length of his cock into your mouth, staring up at his desire making your eyes feel heavy. The cotton polo heâs wearing is pushed up slightly on his stomach, revealing a sexy silver happy trail on his firm stomach, as your eyes trace the hair up his stomach along with a hand dancing up his side, you hum happily in response to the deep moans croaking out of his throat, sweet âfuck mesâ and âoh god babysâ spill from Jackâs mouth as on hand fists in your hair applying a light pressure onto your head and the other reaching up to his now damn silver curls, pushing them out of hsi face. You choke slightly on the thickness of his cock as his hips thrust slightly into your mouth, his large hand running down to the side of your face, guiding your mouth off his cock as he pants a desperate
âFuck sweetheart, gonna make me cum, sâ good to meâ
As you let his cock out of your mouth, you lean back on your heels, hands leaving his body and wiping the string of spit coating your mouth and chin away. Suddenly, feeling the exposure of your tits hanging out of your tank top you go to cross your arms across your chest. Jack cooâs at the sight of your sudden modestyÂ
âOh sweet girl, donât get shy on me now, look so good with your tits out and my cock down your throat.âÂ
Normally, the filth running out of Jackâs mouth would make you cringe and hide your face, but hearing it from him makes the heat in your stomach pool, letting out a moan, your hips buck slightly against your own thigh as you lean your head back towards Jackâs crotch. A hand reached for under your chin and with a tsk and a stroke of your cheek he gestures for you to stand up. Standing together, he takes your hips in his hands and walks you backwards towards the bedroom planting wet open mouth nips along your exposed neck and collar bone. Before he pushes you down onto the bed, he pulls the tank top off and your bra fully, taking your nipples fully into his mouth, swirling his wet tongue and nipping greedily at each before focusing on taking off your pants; using his teeth to pull at the front of your panties, mouthing at your clothed core. As his mouth reaches your clothed pussy he hisses out
âSo worked up that I can taste it through your panties sweetheart, so goodâÂ
Committing to pulling your panties off, you sigh at the sensation of the cold air hitting your soaking pussy, you donât really have time to fully adjust anyways, as Jackâs mouth begins to work on you, hot tongue licking flat firm stripes from the bottom of your pussy up to your clit, sucking softly until you moan. He makes light work of bringing you to the edge quickly, lapping firm circles around your clit while intermittently licking down into your cunt, sucking at all the right areas that have your chest heaving.Â
âOh fuck baby, sâ good, ,oh fuckâ
You can barely get a full sentence out as he slips a finger into your pussy, hooking it up and pressing into the soft velvety walls that make you go crazy. Humming in response to the sound of your moans getting louder and your legs hooking around his back, Jack latches his mouth onto your clit, alternating with great precision he sucks and swirls his tongue around your clit causing you to keen out, with knot in your stomach dangerously close to snappingÂ
Before you can finish your sentence your hips are closing in around Jackâs face grinding tightly as you ride the wave of your orgasm out, his hands gripping at your thighs in an attempt to keep you still as he tries to lap at you throughout your orgasm. As you come down from your orgasm, Jack slides from between your thighs, praise spilling from his lips, complementing your sounds and body as he slides his pants and boxers off fully. Grabbing your hips, he pulls you up the bed resting his knees between yours mouthing at your stomach as he reaches into the bedside drawer and pulls out a condom. Whispering in your ear, he guides you to lie on your stomach, tucking a hand under your waist he raises your hips and ass up until you get the idea of the position he wants you in. As you settle into your chest flat on the cool sheets ass in the air, Jack leans down groping at the plushness of your ass and coos into your ear as he slides his cock into youÂ
âOh god yeah, such a good girl - fuckâÂ
Setting a steady rhythm, he pushes into you deep, his cock filling you to the hilt. Jack knows that he should be a bit more of a gentleman and at least fuck you with you on your back, but he just canât resist the idea of looking at your hair, even through its slightly subconscious he knows his brain wants to remind him of his wife. In an effort to push the guilt to the back of his brain, he fully focuses on you, a hand gripping at your hips as he fucks into you with a rough rythm, cooing your name and grabbing your hair in a soft bunch at the nape of your neck he moans out
âSuch a sweet girl for me, you feel - fuck - so fuckinâ goodâ
As Jack drives into you, the pleasure makes your back arch slightly, the feeling of his cock inside you makes your walls flutter and squeeze around him. The feeling of him pulling lightly at your hair makes you keen his name sweetly back at him breathless, with your hips pushing back to meet his thrusts. As Jack pushes into you, sounds of your wetness and his cock echoing obscenely around the room, he knows he wonât last much longer, his thrusts losing a touch of control. As Jack nears closer to finishing, he lets go of your hair and crowds around you once more, hand snaking around to your front and finding your clit. Moans spill from your mouth, hips bucking into his touch trying to get a bit more pressure to speed your release. Jack takes the sounds as encouragement, fucking into you deeply, rough thrusts and load groans letting you know just how close he is. With a loud âfuckâ and teeth bitting at your shoulder Jack collapses on top of you, hips jutting into yours as he cums, his body weight resting onto you as he chases his high. Not forgetting the woman beneath him, he pushes your hair to the side and nips at your neck until your a panting mess from the overstimulation of your clit. For a few moments you lie there both in silence, apart from your erratic breaths, and take in the post sex feeling; Jack is the first to move, pointing to you the way to the bathroom, and he heads out the door without a word. It is only then you notice the prosthetic, too caught up in the moment to fully take stock of the man you slept with, after you come back to the bathroom, Jack is sat at the end of the bed, removing the prosthetic, he gestures, without really looking at you, to a glass of water and an old tshirt sitting on the bed.Â
âTheres a shirt if you want, not gonna kick you out, you can stay if you wantâ
You hum a polite thanks in response and slip your panties and the old shirt on, too exhausted to think about getting a uber home now, you take him up on the offer, sliding under the sheets keeping a marked distance away from him as you drift asleep.Â
In the soft early morning light that seeps slightly through the curtains, you wake up and take stock of your surroundings; clothes scattered around the room, squinting your eyes trying to find your bra in the darkened room you sigh quietly, slightly embarrassed by the fact that youâve slept in so late. Luckily, Jack, is still asleep on his front with his back to you, his freckled back rising and falling in time with the soft snores coming from him, you pull your arm out from underneath his back, cringing slightly at the closeness you just had with your one night stand. You slip out from his bed and gather your clothes in silence and exit the room, Dressing in the hallway, you look around at the photos that are scattered along the walls, as you pull your jumper over your head you notice the wedding photos and photos of a small child that line the way. Bile rises in your stomach, realising not only have you slept with a man that is more than likely nearly fifteen years older than you, judging by the photos of him at his wedding, but also a fucking married man. You gather the rest of your things and rush out the house without another thought. Your heart is racing, you should have known that pulling a one night stand in your first fucking week in the new city would have been a bad idea, the shame rising though your body like a fever. You thank god that Pittsburgh is a big place and that you probably wonât have to see him again, but for the rest of the morning your mind is brought back to the idea of his poor wife, maybe you should have left her a sign of something, but it was too late and you were definitely going to avoid that bar and man like the plague. As the evening rolls round, you get yourself ready for your first shift, water bottle filled, hair plaited neatly away from your face and itâs game on as you pull into the staff parking lot. The fluorescent lighting in PTMC is doing nothing to aid the lingering hangover you had as you walked into the ER. Eager to make a good impression on your new line bosses, youâd downed as much coffee, electrolytes and greasy diner food as you could until you felt that you could hide your shame around the night before and fake professionalism until you made it. You make your way to the ER and are greeted by the night shift charge nurse Lena, introducing herself as your main point of contact as you work the night shift and she shows you around the ER after you get settled in and changed out of your civies. You exchange pleasantries and an odd war story from your last job at a hospital in your home town as you make the rounds with Lena. Turning the corner to head back central, Lena points to the man in front of you with his back to you. A pit of dread starts to form in your stomach before your brain has a chance to fully catch up with the dots that are connecting in your body. Lena calls out to the man in front of her.
âAh, Dr.Abbot! Just the man Iâve been looking for, meet our new RN, joining the dark side from New Yorkâ
As he turns to smile at you and Lena, Jackâs stomach turns, acidic bile rising in his chest as his mind catches up to the sight of you walking in tow with Lena toward him. God must be playing some sick trick on him right now, as if heâs trying to teach him a lesson about fucking your way through grief, why else would the woman he had face down in bed last night be the new night shift RN. As you get closer, still deep in conversation, Jacks eyes scan your badge for confirmation, reading your name and th bile rises quicker, because yes, the woman who he purposefully fucked on her stomach because her hair reminded him of his dead wifeâs is indeed his new co-worker. As if it was something out of a movie, it feels like time has slowed down to just the two of you in the room as you come to the same realisation practically at the same time, watching him glimpse at your badge, you clock why the man in front of you looks so familiar. Because its the man you let fuck you into blissed out oblivion last night; the man Lena is now gesturing to you as the night shift attending, aka, your fucking superior. Suddenly, no amount of coffee and greasy food can combat the sick feeling rising in your stomach, as your mind conjures up wild stories of how you slept with your married attending and how every single person here will find out you're a homewrecker. You try to hide the surprise on your face, which is mirrored on his as Lena introduces you both. Your face feels bright red heat flooding at the embarrassment of it all, but miraculously Lena doesnât notice, she simply continues on introducing you both as you pay no heed to anything except the way his posture visibly tightens as he takes you in. Your mind, now spinning with ways to try and fix the fact that you slept with your boss, tries to refocus on what Lena is saying to you. Saved by the bell, or rather the pager, Jack pulls the phone from his pocket and with a curt nod turns and briskly walks away from you. When you turn to look at Lena, you try to joke, in an attempt to cover the clear tension that was still handing in the air
âGod, is he always like that, huh, who pissed in his cherrios?â
Lena smiles at you sweetly, hand patting you maternally on your back as you continue your tour around the ER. With a considerate whisper Lena leans forward, gesturing for you to come closer.Â
âWell hon, I probably shouldnât tell you this, but itâs better to be armed and aware, heâs not usually like this, weâve just caught him on a bad day, his late wifeâs anniversary was yesterday so weâll give him a passâ
And with that itâs as if all blood drains from your body, the beeping of the machines and the sound of your pulse rushing through your body drowns out the further explanations coming from Lena. Not only have you essentially fucked your boss, you were his rebound for his dead wife, right now you canât fully decide if this is worse or better than being a homewrecker. Panic swirls through your brain as you excuse yourself and ask where the bathroom is, locking yourself into the stall, you pull out your phone and place your head between your thighs trying to regain some composure, shooting off an update of the clusterfuck that is your life to your friend back home, you head back out and splash some water on your face and whisper to yourself that itâs âgame onâ. Leaving the bathroom with a new facade of calmness, you swing around the corner, naturally bashing right into the back of Jack, beet red again he stares down at you with his chin ticked up.Â
âHuh, we should start callinâ you cherry with how easily you blushâÂ
You try to stammer out a sentence, looking to try to address him properly, but you are too taken aback by his cockiness in the workplace; treating you with the same level of smugness that he did when he was buried deep inside of you. You gulp and stare back, unable to form a coherent thought, Jack tsks at you, pointing toward a patient's bed, asking you if you wouldnât be a doll and help him with a case. Your pulse, still racing in your ears, you remind yourself that it is a simple professional request and nod tightly and head off with Dr. Abbot, trying to push aside the fact that you now have a better understanding of what last night might have been for him and head in through the curtains, starting your shift. Mentally, youâre brain is still focused on sorting out the cluster fuck that is your life as you take the patients blood pressure, this whole situation really was going to be a whole lot harder to deal with than you thought.

Lying in your bed, the heat of the night is positively too much, clammy sheets stick to your skin as you twist and turn trying to chase a semblance of a night's sleep that you so desperately crave. Eyes squeezed shut, the night before your first night in the PMTC is doing overtime in your mind. As you try to shake memories that come flooding through make it as if you can still feel Jack Abbot's tight grip of your hair at the nape of your neck, legs squeezing involuntarily with the faint sensation spreading through your body. The midafternoon light seeps through your curtains, putting the nail in the coffin in regards to getting any kind of sleep, cursing your past self for getting yourself in this mess, you sit up, throwing the pillow out from underneath you at the door in pure frustration. Memories of that night seep into the room, your coat still smells of cheap wine with a slight tinge of regret; shoes with gravel still stuck in the soles from the walk up to Abbotâs house; but worst of all, youâve kept the sleep shirt from that night, tucked away under the spare pillow on the other side of the bed, as if it was a part of your own pajamas, the slight scent of Abbot bleeding into your sleep. Circles of ruminations start to build, all about Abbotâs touch and words, pushing yourself off of the bed you head towards the kitchen, slumped over the kitchen counter, nursing a cold glass of water. You could park the reality of sleeping with your department attending, brush it under the carpet and practice professional distance from Jack Abbot in the form of exchanging pleasantries at the most, but within your first shift at the Pitt, he made it abundantly clear this wasnât going to be an option, not when Jack leered down at you on your first day âHuh, we should start callinâ you cherry with how easily you blush.âÂ
The clock in your kitchen ticks away at a snail's pace, counting down like a doomsday clock to your next shift. Picking away at your dinner-come-breakfast before your shift, you wrack your brains trying to come up with a game plan. All going well, you can stick on Shenâs cases, avoiding him at all costs, but you know well thatâs not how it works in the ED, you could try get stuck on triage duty, get to know the other nurses and HCAâs that work on your shift, hell you could spend your downtime if you get any, looking for a transfer to a different hospital in the area. Lying your head on the cold countertop you let out an audible groan, wishing away the situation at hand, letting in and out deep even breaths in an attempt to ground yourself, you whisper silent mantras of assurance to yourself, a shrill beeping breaks the silence of the apartment, your phone screen lights up with an alarm to remind you to start getting ready for the day. Heavy steps bring you back to your bedroom, pulling your undershirt and scrubs you had set aside in the morning before you went to bed. Scraping your hair back off your face, scrunchie matching your undershirt tying your hair back. With a quick glance in the mirror you notice the bags forming under your eyes and instinctively reach for the tray in front of you that holds your daily makeup routine, soft swipes of concealer and blush are applied to your face before you look yourself in the mirror and shoot yourself a reassuring tight lipped smile. Slipping on your shoes and grabbing your coat and tote, you head through your door determined to not let Jack Abbot get the better of you.Â
As you slip through the entrance to the ED, tapping your badge to get into central, youâre met with an orchestra of beeps and mechanical whines, the sounds of the ED ecosystem fill your ears. A sound that once brought you such ease and sense of control seems to have morphed into a sense of dread, your focus shifting from your clear competency towards the insufferable variables that exist beyond your professional capabilities. Making your way towards central, Dana and Lena greet you with warm smiles, looking away from their handover, Dana waves you over letting out a warm greeting pat on your shoulder âWe havenât scared yous off just yet?â Lena shoots Dana a playful set of daggers letting out a scoff, smiling at the two guardian angels of the department you head towards the lockers. as you set your bag down, faint footsteps appear behind you, before you can register him, Jack Abbot is stood, leaning against the row of lockers caging you in at the end of the row, strong arms lay firmly on the steel of the lockers whilst the other is perched on his hip as he smiles down at you. If you knew any better, youâd think he was being sleezy, staring down at you, but you cannot help but feel the warmth roll through the depth of your stomach as you stare back at him. âHello Dr. Abbot.â you hum as you stare back into your locker with unnecessary concentration to gather your pens and water bottle for the day. As you slip underneath Jackâs arm determined to keep as much distance away from him as possible he coaxes out a sultry âoh Cherry, so scared of me all of a sudden, sure wasnât the impression I got of you at firstâ. Abbot postures up with a confidence only a man like him can have, his intense stare burning into the back of your head. The comment hits you square in the chest, embarrassment burning up your cheeks at a record pace, Abbot is being completely inappropriate, playing on your clear discomfort around him you swing around to face Jack snapping âthe last night shouldnât - it - wouldnât have happened if Iâd known who you areâ you mentally berate yourself for stumbling over your words, the redness deepening on your cheeks. Embarrassment plays damage control, you double down âI mean, it was a mistake ok, so drop it and lets start fresh ok?â He just stares at you for a beat, head cocked to the side in a playful contemplation before he murmurs âNow - where would the fun be in thatâ. Your body betrays you once again, heat pooling further in your stomach, heart beat hitching slightly at Jackâs words as you walk away back into the chaos; this situation gets more and more convoluted by the passing hour. After your encounter with Jack in the locker room, youâre even more determined to keep as much distance as you can between the pair of you. Over the course of the night you practically become Lenaâs and Shenâs shadows, jumping from case to case with the younger attending. About half way through the night, your in south 15 with Shen, applying cardiac monitor stickers to the chest of the elderly patient in front of you when Shen questions your aversion to Abbot. Leaning over the patient, breaking his line of questioning of patient history, in his cool demeanor Shen simply states with a raised brow âyou know his bark is worse than his biteâ. Your eyes shoot up, wide, memories of Jackâs teeth grazing your shoulder as he drove into you just a few nights ago flash across your mind, with a cough you try to recover your composure you mutter back âwhoâ John shoots back âAbbot of course, donât be so afraid of him, I know my cases are always better but you should give the old man a chanceâ he flicks his head towards central, eyes tracking his head, youâre met with Jack staring right at you, smirk plastered across his face. Oh - if only he knew how much of a chance youâd already given that man.Â
By 6:30am, the Pitt is free falling into chaos, a MVC has tipped it over the edge, on top of the drunken brawl, psych admissions, and general night time admissions, youâre counting the hours until this day is over. As the first gurney rolls in from the MVC, Abbot pulls up beside you barking that youâre with him for this trauma. Switching to pure professional mode, you spring into action, cutting away clothing to give the crew better access to injuries, placing the IV and standing back awaiting further instructions. It feels like it is all going in slow motion, beeps growing erratic around you, your brought back down to earth with Jack barking orders for you to push sedatives for intubation, moving practically in sync, you prep the fluids and push as jack simultaneously preps for intubation. The rest of the procedure goes off without a hitch, but your focus is on how Jack and you work so well together, his gaze rarely not returning back to you as you work through getting the patient stable. Patient sent off to the OR, Jack turns to you with a faint level of professionalism âgreat work there, always good to have another superstar on our teamâ nodding in response you keep yourself level headed, you head to the computer to start your notes. As the team trickles out the tension in the air thickens between you and Jack. Once alone, you canât help but not hold your tongue anymore. âDo you have any idea how this will make me look if anyone finds out Iâve slept with you?! Have any idea that no matter what way we spin this, people will look at me as if Iâm the piece of shit not youâ you hiss in his face. Abbot, with his trademark looks down at you letting out an amused murmur âoh cherry, not the first time and definitely not the last time someone in this department has slept with a higher up, look at Heather, sheâs fairing pretty well.â he nods his head over towards central, where Heather and Robby are standing discussing a case in depth. You wave his point off âI donât give a flying fuck if someone else has done it before, I care more about the fact that you seemingly donât care to respect a professional distance I am trying to put between us.â Abbot just lets out a low tsk in response, rolling his eyes back slightly, a glance down at you deep eyes meeting yours with a clear look of âwhere's the fun in thatâ. A scowl lines your face, a harsh whisper passes between you âthis conversation is not overâ Jack doesnât break eye contact once, âfor sure cherryâ leaning down closer to you, he practically croons in your ear âbesides cherry, you left your bra at my place, wouldnât want that to go to waste now, would weâ. Before your brain can conjure up a retort, Jack is off to start handoff, his gait giving way to the exhaustion of the day as he makes his way over to Robby, tablet in hand and gameface holding strong.Â
Standing outside the Pitt, you let the morning sun wash over you, a rare moment of peace in the past 72 hours. Your tote weighs heavy on your shoulder, but not as heavy as Abbotâs words ' where's the fun in thatâ and âwouldnât want that to go to waste now, would weâ swirl around your mind. You know you need to set things straight with him, if not for your career, for your own sanity. Looking at your Uber history from the night before, you hesitate for a second before ordering a ride to the house from the last night. Desperate to get things over with, you head straight from the hospital, not caring - or thinking really, if Abbot has any post-work rituals. By the time you get to Jackâs front door, you realise you have no real plan of what to say to him. Standing at the door, you knock without thinking; in what feels like record time the door creaks open, Jack standing in the doorway, cargos still on from the night just gone, but the scrub top is replaced by a nearly too small black t-shirt, stretching across his chest and around his biceps in a practically sinful manner, you stomach flipping at the sight. âYou fucked me on your wives anniversary really Jack?â His face falls and a stoney demeanor takes its place on his face as he spits back âoh come on, I didnât know you, you didnât know me, you left this house thinking weâd never meet again how is this my problemâ. You push past him slightly, not willing to air your dirty laundry fully on the street. Turning back to face him, standing in the hallway where heâd previously crowded around you, making the distance between the two of you so jarring. Your mind goes a million miles per second, not fully registering what comes out of your mouth, you spew out word vomit âIt matters, because you fuck me, maybe some of the best - I mean then I start a new job see you there, and in a matter of seconds of realising your basically my fucking boss, i find out you slept with me on her anniversary and you proceed to taunt me for the next two shifts, thats why it mattersâ. Jack seems to take in what you say, hands resting on his chest crossed, eyes softening slightly breaking through his stoney expression. He hums slightly, letting out a soft âso the best sex youâve ever had?â. A shocked cough rises up your throat, Jack Abbot is truly unbelievable, shame floods your system again, heat rises once again up your neck. You go to shoot back ânot the point right nowâ but the words die in your throat as Jack closes the door fully behind him.Â
Abbot, clearly on some path of self-destruction and determined to bring you down with him, reaches for you first. His hand goes for your hip in a relatively unceremonious manner, gripping at your scrubs heat practically burning through the thin fabric. He leans down, taking advantage of your mouth that is slightly agape, placing a series of wet kisses from your mouth down towards your chest. Breathing between the two of you becomes increasingly shallow, you reach for the nape of his neck, desperate to close as much space between you as possible. Jack lets a deep groan out into your mouth at the friction of your bodies hitting against each other. Gently pushing against you, Jack leads you straight to the bedroom, you stop short of the bed, swiftly spinning around to place Jack at the head of the bed. Sitting him down, you throw all caution to the wind, youâre in it now so may as well see it through fully. Straddling him, you run your hands under his shirt, nails dragging slightly along his skin as your mouth latches onto the side of his neck. Jack throws his head back as you grind slowly on him, his arms reaching around you pulling you down as closely as he can, chasing the friction like a mad man.Â
Sharing a wet kiss, you pull yourself off of him, mouth last and lower yourself to the ground between his legs. Pulling at the belt, you slowly rub his length through his length through his pants, Jack grabs your wrist lightly, concerned look washing over his face to which you respond with a light nod murmuring with your mouth half open that you want to do this. With a swift set of movements, Jack lifts his hips and you pull his cargos and boxers down to his ankles. Jackâs cock springs up, head swollen red and spilling dots of precum, practically salivating at the sight, you lean forward and take the head in your mouth. A satisfied moan slips out around his length matching the breathy sigh escaping Jackâs as a hand gathers your hair at the nape of your neck guiding your mouth down with a gentle force. You look up at Jack through your lashes, half shut eyes that are heavy with pleasure and he thrusts slightly into your mouth at the sight of you laid out below him. Jack wines slightly, his grip on your hair tightening slightly âfuck cherry, god, fuck, you look so fuckinâ good taking me like thatâ. Moving up and down his shaft a few more times, Jack pulls you off, panting âso fuckinâ good baby, not gonâ last with how good you areâ. Itâs as if a flip switches in his mind, Jack lands his hands on you like a starved man, a harsh slap lands on your ass, and then another as you arch into the pleasure of his touch. Pulling your scrub top over your head, sports bra quickly follows, and he is on your chest, pressing deep bruising sucks across your chest. The pleasure of it all, his look and touch shuts your brain off for the first time today. Your pulse quickens as he makes his way down your soft stomach, placing kisses and licks as his hands work with precision untying and pulling your bottoms off. Soft kisses are planted along the plush skin of your thighs, ignoring right where you need Jack, hips rise in search of friction, as Jack chuckles into your skin âoooh still needy this time round baby? Let me take care of thatâ. And with that, he sucks intently on your clit, releasing a moan nearly instantly from you with the relief, he laps up and down your clit and entrance, paying attention to your sweetspots around your cunt, hands pressed down applying pressure to the inside of your thighs. Slipping a finger into your wetness, Jack hooks his finger upwards slightly pressing into you right at the right spot. You try to hold in the noises, desperate not to prove his smugness right - that this is much more fun than professional boundaries. Moans spill from your mouth as he brings you closer to the edge. His free hand reaches up to your tits, grasping at your nipples tugging experimentally to see your reaction. Jack is relentless in chasing your pleasure, sucking contently on your clit, pulling moan after moan out of you. Your orgasm creeps up on you, suprising you with a wild grab of Jacks curls lerching forward and mewing âoh fuck - oh god im cumming!â riding out the waves of your orgasm, your hips rut against his mouth. Jack waits for you to come back down to earth, placing kisses all over your skin, murmuring sweet nothings to you.Â
Impatiently, you pull jack up to your face, tasting him on you as you place a deep kiss, tongue slipping into his mouth, with Jack whispering into your mouth âfuck youâre so goodâ. Your walls clench around nothing, full of wanting for the man above you. The heat of the moment spurs you both on, Jack flipping you to be on top, searching for permission to line himself up to your entrance. You nod, chest prickling with the cold and suspense, arching into the touch of a light spank, Jack grunting âoh fuck you like that, donât you, dirty girlâ. Back to the task at hand, Jack moves your hips to line you up with him, pulling your hips down to sink you onto his length. You both let out a deep sigh of relief, and almost automatically your arms come to brace around Jack's shoulders and you start to lift your hips back and forth, chasing the friction you so desperately were searching for. The room is full of soft grunts and moans, skin slapping and heavy breaths as he grabs your hips, looking to set a deeper, more intense rhythm. Finding the right rhythm, you lean forward, head pressed against his and rut quickly against Jack, thrusts becoming more and more erratic as you chase your high. Jack grabs at your ass, groping and pinching at the sensitive skin, filthy words spilling from between gritted teeth, of âwhos such a good girlâ smack âthats it babyâ smack âlook at you so fucked out on my cockâ smack. The pleasure of it all becomes too much, you sink back down, deep and hard letting your orgasm sweep over you as Jack toys with your clit. His thrusts follow in an irratic manner, chasing his own pleasure as his hands grab your back and pull you closer as he spills inside of you with a deep âfuckâ. In the seconds after it, the room feels like pure peace, you forget about why you came to his house in the first place, and forget about how quickly you folded to his whim. You both sit there in the aftermath, hearts beating on each other's chest, silence spreading all around you as the walls from earlier today build back up slowly in your mind. You slink out of the bed, heading towards the bathroom, mainly in an attempt to put distance between you two but also to pee like the good health care professional that you are. On the way back to the bed you bend down to pick up your underwear from the ground, Jack lands a playful spank on your ass, eliciting a soft moan from you. Turning to face him you put on your best stern face, âThis is not becoming a thing ok?â you whisper mainly to yourself as you slide back into the sheets against your better judgement, not expecting to get a reply from the man lying next to you. A mumbled laugh comes from the pile of sheets and heat beside you, with Jackâs cocky drawl following âoh I wouldnât speak too soon if I were you cherryâ. Reaching for the pillow thrown slightly to the side, you chuck it in Jackâs direction, letting out a groan, in your mind youâve already done enough damage, you absolutely cannot get involved in what ever the fuck this is turning out to be, but right now the warmth of Jack beside you is lulling you to sleep, and you know your problems wonât and canât be solved over night.

It's strange seeing Jack again, after all these years.
Sitting across from him in a coffee shop as if you're simply acquaintances - when you once meant the world to each other. "I was sorry to hear about your divorce," He murmurs softly, eyes searching out your gaze. You don't give him the satisfaction.
"He was a prick," is all you can manage, to sum up the entire decade you spent married to your ex.
"I know you wanted kids. Wish you could've had that."
That puts your heckles up, and you lift your coffee to your lips in an attempt to stop a biting remark from slipping out. It doesn't work. "Well, we can't always get what we want."
The pity in his expression is too much, and you find yourself wanting to dig the knife a little deeper. "You didn't, either."
It's the lowest of lows, and you hate yourself for using his dead wife as a trump card. But you also hate Jack a little for not reaching out all these years.
For lying to you before your own wedding. For telling you he was happy you were with Jason, only to reveal six months later that he's been in love with you since you were sixteen.

The roof of The Pitt was one of the few places that still felt peaceful after a brutal shift. The city lights stretched out below like scattered stars, and the cool night breeze brushed against your skin as you leaned against the railing. You picked at a lukewarm grilled cheese sandwich from the food cart outside the hospital, trying to shake off the weight of another long day. The little nap in the break room earlier didn't fix the tiredness.
The door behind you creaked open.
You turned your head and saw Jack Abbot step out onto the roof. He paused when he noticed you there.
âThatâs my spot,â he said, his voice as low and calm as ever. Just a simple, factual statement. He was always like that, if you didn't know it any better you'd think he didn't have emotions at all. Or he is just good at hiding them.
You stayed where you were, refusing to move. âDidnât see your name on it, Dr. Abbot.â
He gave a single small nod, accepting your answer without argument, and walked to the far side of the roof. He leaned against the railing, keeping a respectful distance between the two of you. Silence settled and neither of you spoke for a while. Your thoughts began to fade into the noise of far away traffic.
When you glanced over, he was already looking at you. His head tilted towards you, an unrecognizable look on his face that could've been anything.
After what felt like forever, he looked back out at the city.
âYou are quiet. Long shift?â he asked, breaking the silence.
âYeah,â you replied quietly âThat multi-vehicle trauma was rough. Kept coming in waves.â
He hummed in quiet agreement. âYou did good work on the chest tube. Steady hands under pressure.â
You looked at him again. His gaze met yours once more, holding for several seconds before he turned away again as if he was avoiding any more eye contact.
âDoes it ever get easier?â you mutter under your breath before turning your body sideways, towards him. His face was still unreadable and it took him a second to respond.
âThe job?â
âNo. Confrontation with the inevitable. The one thing that will get us all one day. Does it get easier to see people die?â you whisper the last word and you can feel the lump in your throat building.
He sighed and pressed his lips together. When he turned his head towards you again, he could see how you were clinging onto the railing, trying to steady yourself while memories flashed through your mind.
âYou just learn to deal with it, find something that takes the edge offâ he shrugs his shoulders. âEventually, you accept it for what it is. Inevitable. So best to justâŚenjoy your time on this earth and make the best of it. That's all you can really do.â
You scoffed and you could feel the sweat under your fingertips. You couldn't understand how he could always stay so calm and collected, like it never phased him to begin with.
âDid you find something to take the edge off, Dr. Abbot?â
He debated for a second on whether or not he should answer that question honestly or if a lie would be easier on both of them. âYes, i have.â
âWhat is it?â
ânone of your business." he answered before you could ask more questions.
âwha-â you looked at him confused but he lifted his index finger into the air to silence you.
"Enough. Get yourself together and go back down. And no more sleeping in the breakroom. If you have too much on your plate, reconsider the day shift. The night shift isn't for the weak.â
And with that, he left you up there on your own, scrambled into a million pieces while trying to gather yourself together. If he knew that your side job is keeping you up on your off-nights, maybe he would've reacted differently. Or the same. It didn't matter. No one would have an ounce of respect left for you if they found out that your side gig is you working at a stripclub. Or that's what you thought, at least.
The next couple of hours kinda got lost in a blur. Nothing changed. Or everything. Jack looked at you as if he was trying to figure you out, read your thoughts but keep you at a distance. Like he cared but didn't know how to show it.
âDifferent angle,â heâd say during a central line. Â
You nodded while changing the angle.
âWordsâ he muttered quietly only you could hear.
âYes, Dr. Abbotâ you replied, focused on keeping your hands steady.
During rounds, while you presented cases, his stare burned into you. He never looked away first. Never smiled. Never gave any indication that the eye contact meant anything more than professional observation. He never stood too close. And it always left you wondering by the end of every shift. Can he even stand you?
The days blurred into each other, nights became days and days nights. Friday night was your first night off in a while and you had to get ready for your job at the club. It paid the bills, that's all that mattered. Whenever your residency was over you could finally relax a little bit, is what you told yourself.
The music was loud and deep, vibrating through your body as you stepped onto the stage. You wore the deep red lingerie set you got yourself for your birthday, the one that barely covered anything important. The lights caught on your skin as you began to move.
You started slow. Your hips swaying sensually to the beat, hands sliding down your sides. Then you dropped low into a squat, rolling your hips in smooth, filthy figure-eights, back arched deeply. Money started hitting the stage. You crawled forward on all fours, ass up, before rising gracefully and spinning around the pole. You hooked one leg high, sliding down slowly while rolling your body in waves. You enjoyed the dancing, the money and good god, maybe even the attention. But at the end of the day, it's all about the money. Has always been. Your dream was to get out of this, be a doctor and eventually make enough money to buy a beautiful house and a cat. Maybe two. Who knew.
Customer after customer called you over for lap dances.
You straddled the first one with confidence, grinding down in slow circles, your hands trailing over your breasts and stomach. You leaned forward, lips parted near his ear, breathing softly as you worked your hips against him. He tucked a twenty into your lacy bra and you rewarded him with a deeper, slower grind, thighs squeezing around his lap.
The next customer was handsier, but you kept control - rising up only to sink back down, pressing your ass against his thighs while rolling your hips. Your movements were fluid, teasing and practiced. You lost yourself in the rhythm, dancing for one man after another, stacking bills as the night went on. It was a good night, you really needed this after those stressful nights at the pitt.
Near the end of your shift, as you finished the last dance of the night, a dark figure caught your eye. He was sitting all the way in the back of the room and you couldn't make out more than basic outside features.
Broad shoulders. Dark jacket. Unmoving posture.
It reminded you of a certain someone, could it beâŚNo. No, why would he-
You took a deep breath and your manager already made his way over to you, wrapping his arm around your waist and you could smell the alcohol on his breath. There are rules for the customers but that didn't mean the manager had to follow them. He was drunk every time you came in here and you've heard the stories about how hands on he's gotten with other ladies at the club before.
Out of the corner of your eye you could see the dark figure moving, maybe even tensing up a little bit but you didn't have time to investigate - you had to give your manager his share of the bills and then make your way out of there.
Still, a little part of you was terrified that Jack might've been the dark figurine.
The next shift at The Pitt, Jack was exactly the same.
Professional. Calm. Unreadable. As fucking always. It drove you mad for some ungodly reason you couldn't name. Why did it bother you so much?
He commanded the trauma bay with quiet authority. When your eyes met across a patient, he held the stare for a few long seconds before looking away like nothing was different. Never a smile or a smirk. Only clean precision. Always.
By the end of the shift, you were completely drained. During a quiet moment, you slipped into the small break room, curled up on the couch, and fell asleep almost instantly. It was supposed to be a quick nap, if even.
But you didnât know that Jack had stepped into the room a few minutes later. He stood there silently, watching you sleep - exhausted, vulnerable. He didnât wake you. But he got close to your ear when he draped one of the blankets over you and whispered:
âYouâll wear yourself out dancing for all those strangers every night. Keep pushing like this⌠and I might just have to step in.â

Jack canât take his eyes off you. Not when you look the way you do right now: skin glowing, eyes sparkling, and a truly sincere smile on your face.Â
The wine bottle shared between the two of you stands at your feet as his hands snake around your waist, pulling you closer. He tastes the grapes on your tongue when his own slips between your parted lips, mapping out the inside of your mouth slowly. His palm wanders from your side to the small of your back, pressing you flush against him.Â
You only pull away when you start to get lightheadedâtoo little oxygen, too much love.Â
Love.Â
Neither one of you has said it yet. Itâs much too early for that four-letter word, but the idea of it hangs over you as he kisses your cheek instead of your mouth to let you catch your breath.Â
Jack tilts his head to meet your gaze and smiles softly. His eyes drift over your face like heâs memorizing every inch. Heâs close enough that he could count each individual lash if he wanted to.Â
When he lifts his hands to cup your face between his palms, you melt into his touch.Â
âYouâre so beautiful,â he whispers.Â
Your skin heats under his hands, blood rushing to your face. The timid smile on your face tugs at Jackâs heartstrings.
âSo beautiful,â he repeats tenderly.Â
He means it.Â
You misinterpret it.Â
When you stand on your tiptoes to kiss him again, thereâs more heat to itâthe kind that leads to places you havenât been to with him yet.Â
He keeps you steady, your face still held by him.Â
His lips fit against yours like two puzzle pieces.
The weight of him leads you towards the couch naturally. He doesnât guide or force but simply leans in until you sink onto the cushions, him braced above you.Â
Your hand drifts down from his chest to his stomach. Through his shirt, you still feel the way his muscles flex under your touch.Â
He breaks the kiss to look at you, an almost dopey curve to his mouth.Â
âYouâre ticklinâ me,â he mumbles.Â
âThatâs on purpose,â you reply.Â
He grins, then catches your hands in his own.Â
âIs that so?â he whispers. âAnything else you want to confess?â
You let a few seconds pass, just for dramatic effect, before you nod.Â
âYeah,â you mumble, âIâm also trying to take your shirt off right now.â
Jack chuckles softly.Â
âYou donât say,â he teases. âAny reason for that?â
You roll your eyes fondly.Â
âTake a guess.â
A gentle laugh spills from him, originating deep from his chest. You feel the vibration travel through him until it reaches your hand, too.Â
âI think I can help out with that.â
He grabs the hem of his shirt and pulls it up, then over his head. Your eyes are glued to every inch of sun-kissed skin thatâs slowly exposed. For a moment, you hesitate before you reach out to rest your hand on his chest, feeling the heat radiating from him.Â
When youâve had your fill of touching himâthough youâre not sure youâll ever get enough of himâyou take off your own shirt. You had planned in advance and worn a black lace bralette, but you hadnât told Jack, so you could trick him into thinking that youâre always this put together.Â
The matching panties waited for him under the skirt, which you were eager for him to pull off of you.Â
Jack canât look awayâand doesnât want to. Youâre surprised that for once, it doesnât feel like youâre being ogled.Â
No, Jack admires.Â
His fingers drift over your breasts up to your neck, then rest on your face.Â
âLike I said,â he whispers. âBeautiful.â
Instead of answering, you lean in to kiss him again. As your lips press against his, you reach for his belt buckle and open it. Jack hums into your mouth, a small roll of his hips encouraging you.Â
He helps you take off his jeans. Jack talked to you about not wearing his prosthetic at home around you a few days ago, but right now, he still has it on. He seems a little nervous as his pants fall away, and you get a full glance at it for the first time.
You donât mind at all.Â
The next barrier that falls is your skirt. Jack undoes the zipper at the side carefully, then slides the fabric down your legs. He makes a sound you canât quite categorize when he sees the thin lace panties you picked out for tonight.
âFuck,â he whispers, âHow are you this perfect?â
Again, you forgo an answer with another kiss.Â
Jack notices. He cups your face, then pulls away a little just to look at you. His brows knit together slightly.Â
âHey,â he mumbles.
You havenât been together that long yet, but he knows you well enough to see that you donât feel like talking about this right now.Â
Still, for a moment, he chews on his bottom lip in contemplation before he asks, âWouldnât you rather take this to the bedroom?â
You shrug softly.
âI donât mind the couch. Whatever you want.â
The divot between his brows deepens.Â
âBut Iâm asking you what you want,â he counters. âIf⌠if weâre doing this right now, I want you to be comfortable.â
âI am comfortable,â you reply.Â
He nods reluctantly.Â
âAlright,â he mumbles.
The next kiss feels a little differentânot in a bad way, just more careful. Jack waits, lets you chase him instead of taking the lead. So you do.Â
You reach behind you to unfasten the clasps of your bra. As the lace falls away, Jack watches with amazement. He almost manages to throw in another compliment for you, but you donât give him the chance.
You stand up from the couch and hook your fingers into your panties, then slowly slip them off.Â
Jackâs breath hitches. He leans into the back of the couch to watch as you step out of the fabric that fell to your ankles. This time, he truly stares.Â
When you step closer, he pulls you in by your hips until youâre seated on his lap. Your bare cunt brushes over the bulge in his boxers, causing both of you to moan.Â
You roll against him once, then twice, then kiss him again. The heat between the two of you is unbearable. You donât understand why he hasnât taken off his underpants yet and wonder if he maybe just needs a little bit more encouragement, so you grind down against him again.Â
Jack hisses at the contact, his fingers tightening on your sides.Â
âFuck, baby,â he mutters. âYouâre gonna give me a heart attack.â
âThen let me help you,â you chuckle and reach for the waistband of his boxers.
He lifts his hips to help you slip them offâand you swallow hard when you see what youâre working with. The grey happy trail youâve been eyeing since his shirt came off leads down to his thick cock. The size of the bulge makes more sense now. Heâs veiny and flushed a dark red, almost a little purple at the tip.Â
âJesus,â you whisper.
Jack chuckles, maybe even a little self-consciously so.Â
âYeah, itâs um⌠itâs been a while for me,â he admits.Â
Your mouth falls openâyou hadnât expected that. A man with his looks, a doctor at that, too?
âReally?â you ask. âI mean⌠thatâs okay. I donât mind. Just⌠tell me what you like.â
He shrugs softly.Â
âI like you.âÂ
His answer is so sappy that it makes you grin.Â
âShut up. No, really, tell me what you like.â
Jack looks at you and pulls you closer again.Â
âIâm serious,â he mumbles. âI just want you, however you want. Why? What kinda stuff do the kids like these days?â
Your face warms a little.
âI donât know,â you mumble. A total lie.Â
âWe can try some stuff, you know?â
âLike what?â he asks. âYou want me to tie you up?âÂ
He chuckles like the idea is absurd to him.Â
âWould you want to tie me up?â you counter.Â
Jackâs brows furrow again.Â
âI donât think thatâs my thing,â he says quietly.Â
You nod slowly.Â
âWhat aboutâŚâ
Saying it out loud feels, for lack of a better word, cringe, so you take his hand and place it on the base of your throat.Â
Jack doesnât pull away immediately, but his fingers donât wrap around your neck either. He looks up at you, his jaw set tightly.Â
Then he shakes his head and cups your face instead.Â
âI donât think so,â he says softly. âHow about⌠we just take things slow and figure it out as we go?â
When you nod, Jack kisses you, and it tastes like relief.Â
He surprises you when he switches positions with youâyouâd have thought he would want you to stay on top. Â
Jack braces his weight on his forearms as he hovers above you, his face just inches away from you. Then he lowers his head, but his lips donât meet yoursâthey trail down over your chest. His tongue swirls around your nipple, making you gasp as the sensation tingles through you.Â
He cups your other breast, squeezing and kneading the flesh gently, then places a kiss on the valley between your breasts before he descends further.Â
To your ribs⌠then your navel⌠then your hipbone.Â
Your breath stills completely when his fingers come to rest on your thighs. He doesnât push them open yet.
âMay I?â he asks.Â
âYeah,â you whisper.Â
He parts your legs gently, his eyes still focused on you until he lowers his head andâ
Your world tilts a little.Â
When his tongue drags through your drenched slit, and Jack moans out loud, you arch towards him. He holds your hips in place, fingers digging into the fleshânot hard enough to bruise, but enough to make you feel him.Â
âFuck,â he gasps, âYou taste so fucking good, baby.â
He flattens his tongue against your clit, licking upwards until you see stars.
âJack-â you moan, trying⌠you donât know what youâre trying to say. Your fingers find purchase in his hair, tugging slightly at the grey curls.Â
He sucks your clit into his mouth, causing you to cry out in pleasure.Â
He laps at your cunt like a starved dog, and you canât believe that âitâs been a whileâ for him, not when heâs eating you out like that.
âIâoh God,â you sigh dreamily.
Your legs quiver, your hips twitchâyour entire body is shaking with pleasure.Â
âThatâs it, baby,â Jack murmurs, his words muffled. âFuckâplease, just let me make you feel good.â
The sounds of your arousal mixing with his saliva are unholyâa wet overflow of moisture between your thighs. Jack seems to be right where he wants to be. He moans into your flesh, his hips bucking and pressing into the couch below like he is trying to alleviate the ache, the buildup of his own need.Â
When you come apart, he guides you through it, not stopping until your brain is overflowing with oxytocin and your thighs wonât stop shaking.Â
Both of you are panting when he comes up.Â
He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and smiles devilishly.Â
âGod⌠weâre so doing this again,â he declares softly.Â
Youâre at a loss for words. You havenât come like that ever. All you can do is nod and reach for him.Â
Jack plants his arms on either side of your head and kisses you deeply. You taste yourself on his tongue, the sweet, tangy flavor erupting in your mouth.Â
His leaking cock presses against your tummy as his lips graze yours.
You reach between you and stroke him, making him groan into your mouth.Â
âJesus,â he mutters when he pulls away to look at you. âYouââ
He thrusts into your hand instinctively, and you realize just how pent up he is.Â
âYour turn,â you whisper.Â
Jack tsks softly, half amused, half⌠something else.Â
He cups your face and kisses your jaw tenderly.Â
âBelieve me, that was my turn,â he says lowly. âBut if you want to keep going, Iâm sure as hell not saying no.â
--
The bliss afterwards is indescribable. But itâs also foreign.
You still sense every press of his hands on your body without feeling tender, every brush of his lips without a single mark on your skin, and every thrust of his hips without that residual feeling of having been used.Â
Jack was nothing but gentle.Â
And god, it was incredible.Â
The sheets underneath you are crumpled and slightly damp with sweat and sex, but you donât mind. Not when Jackâs arm is wrapped around you, your back pressing against his chest. He kisses the side of your neck where your pulse still flutters with excitement.Â
âYou were incredible,â he whispers.
It must be so obvious that his words fluster you because he smirks when you hide your face in the sheets.Â
âBarely even did anything,â you mumble.Â
Jack makes a sound you canât quite discern.Â
âRight,â he chuckles. âExcept that thing where you got really tight when you were about to come again orââ
You whip around and press your hand over his mouth, your eyes wide and embarrassed.
âJack,â you complain, half-serious, half-playful.Â
He kisses your palm and smiles.Â
âHey, Iâm just teasinâ,â he retorts. âBut I really meant it. It was really great for me.â
âYeah, for me, too,â you mumble.Â
Youâre not used to any kind of pillow talk, so the words feel thick, like they donât quite want to leave your mouth.Â
Jack doesnât seem to mind. He just pulls you closer against his chest and rests his chin on the top of your head.Â
As the minutes pass, he tells you to go pee and promises more cuddles later on.Â
In the bathroom, you look at yourself in the mirror. The haphazardly buttoned-up shirt youâre wearing belongs to Jack and falls to your mid-thigh. Your hair is a mess from how often he ran his hands through it. A few hickeys begin to gain color and paint your neck a soft purple.
You canât help but smile.Â
âHey, sweetheart?â Jack calls out. âYour phone keeps vibrating. I think someone really wants to talk to you!â
âYeah, just a sec,â you reply.Â
When you return to his bedroom, Jack is sitting up, his brows drawn together slightly. Your phone is in his hand, the screen facing up.Â
âSorry,â he says as he passes it to you. âI didnât mean to spy on you or anything, just wanted to bring it to you.â
You take your phone and glance at the messagesâand feel your face heat up.
âOh.â Your laugh comes out stiff as you quickly shut off your phone. âSorry, umâtheyâre joking, of course. Like, uhâŚâ
Jack looks at you quietly, watching as you fumble nervously with the edge of your phone case. There was a light flush to his cheeks now, too.Â
âNo, no, donât worry, I shouldnât have read it anyway, I just looked at it âcause it kept⌠vibrating,â he explains.Â
The awkward silence that follows feels detrimental.Â
You wonder if you should explain more, or if maybe stammering another apology would make it worse, but then Jack breaks the quiet first.Â
âNot to sound my age, but⌠I assume cracking means⌠uh⌠hooking up?â
You press your lips together uncomfortably.
âYeah,â you mumble. âLike, um⌠yes.â
He nods once. Then he tilts his head to catch your eyes.Â
âItâs not the⌠nicest word, is it?â he asks.Â
âItâs just, like, a TikTok thing,â you answer.Â
âHm,â is all he replies.Â
Then he takes your hand and guides you back onto the mattress. You meet his gaze hesitantly. The lines around his eyes are a little deeper, just like the furrow between his brows. He doesnât seem angry, just serious.
âI⌠I kind of would prefer it if you didnât think of what we just did as⌠âcrackingâ. Itâs not the word I would use,â he says slowly.
âItâs just a word,â you mutter.Â
âNot to me,â he argues softly. âItâs⌠words have meanings. And cracking sounds like⌠like Iâm doing something to you, not with you. I donât mean to be⌠all old man and, like, police your language. But⌠I donât want you to think of sex with me that way. Or⌠with anyone else for that matter, even though, ideally, I would like this to be a long-term thing.â
His hazel eyes donât leave your face for even a single moment, and itâs almost overwhelmingâif it werenât for the sincerity in them.Â
âIâm sorryâ" you begin, but Jack shushes you.
âNo, sweetheart, I donât- I donât want you to apologize. I just want you to be comfortable with me. I wanna make sure you⌠you feel respected by me,â he explains.Â
âI do,â you reply quickly. âReally. Like, no one else has ever⌠been this kind to me.â
Jackâs face falls.Â
âOh, no, I mean, like⌠youâre a gentleman,â you elaborate.
He shakes his head softly.Â
âNo, baby, Iâm⌠this is⌠this is the bare minimum. Christ.â
Jackâs hands find yours, and he leans in to kiss your forehead. Then he wraps his arms around you.Â

there is a very long, very nuanced conversation about the fine line between sexual liberation for women and brainrot porn (that honestly i doubt people on the internet could have in a mature way) and can i just say that i LOVE the approach you took with it????? i love soft, loving jack and how he doesn't judge reader but still draws his limits and they still find common ground and they both enjoy themselves thoroughly and i think it's so important for women (especially young women) to ask themselves if they enjoy the fast rough kinky sex because that's genuinely what they like or if it's because it's been imposed and indoctrinated that they need that to "be cool" or "be good in bed" or "be better" than the women who don't like it and urghhhhh please i could read a thousand more fics like this!!!!!!!!!!!!
