I'll actually dive deeper into her lore in her bio! (Which I'll post soon), but I can give you a small summary. :)
Her story is basically the same as the OG Little Red Riding Hood, with some small changes. She was raised by her mother, since her father died in her childhood. She doesn't come from the Hesse like Bigby, but rather Alsace, a small world that borders the Hesse through the Black Forest.
When her fairytale happens, she is not a little girl, but a teenager, around 14-15 years old. (Basically same age as Bigby, since he was a juvinelle wolf at the time).
Unlike in the comics, Scarlet's Grandma didn't died, despite being mauled and swallowed by Bigby, they both lived, just scarred. Her Grandmother specially, since she was brutally attacked by Bigby first.
After being saved by the Wooodsman and giving him a monetary reward, her mother Rose moved from Alsace to the Hesse, both her and Scarlet spend the rest of the next years recovering and tending to her Grandmother.
It took a few good years for the Adversary Attacks to reach the village near where they lived. When the Exodus happened, they stayed behind. Unable to leave the cottage in the entrails of the Black Forest, both fearful of the Big Bad Wolf, and of the believe no one would be foolish enough to enter those woods.
Soon, the Hesse was overtaken and they stayed trapped. For centuries, they lived under the claws of the Adversary, hidden in isolation, surviving of the fruits and vegetables they would grow in the cottage. (Pretty similar to how Fable's LRRH lived).
When after decades of imprisoment, they had enough. With her Grandma more recovered, they devised a plan to escape. Packing only a few clothes and food, they left their home into the deeper areas of the forest, where a portal laid.
They had to sell one of her father's mementos, the fur of an enchanted boar, to finally escape. They would lend in our world, in the region of Lorraine, France.

Scarlet and her family reached the Mundane World in the 19th Century, in the mid 1880s. They didn't ventured further from where they landed, in Woëvre.
Keeping a low profile, they took shelter in an abandoned property in the woods, to which they reformed into a home. Spending most of their time secluded, they would only venture to the nearby villages for food and cloth supplies, as well as selling bread and pastries for an income.
They were hesitant at first to approach the inhabitants of this strange world, but they quickly picked up on which ones were and not trustworthy. They started to become particularly recognized by the incredible treats Rose would bake, and by the impeccable sewing talents of Violet.
Years went by, until the World Wars came. At the sight of a potential threat and invasion, the three women retreated to the woods, avoiding all Mundy presence.
When the end of WWII came and they finally started to appear again, suspicion arose... Those women lived by themselves. They didn't aged, they didn't changed. Whispers started to run around, of them not being human.
Those speculations reached the ears of Cinderella, who was still on France after her involvement in the WWs. She spent weeks observing them, but it was clear to her, they were indeed Fables.
After notifing the Fabletown's Goverment, she went herself to approach the family. Needless to say, Scarlet and her family were relieved in seeing another Fable there, someone they could trust.
Cinderella was surprised and shocked to know that they were Little Red and her family, like other Fables, she thought the worst when Scarlet didn't made it in Exodus... But they were just glad to have escaped, and be safe.
Cindy informed them about the existence of Fabletown, and how if would be better for them to move there, to be with others like them. They were hesitant at first, they didn't knew how much that world had changed... They feared not being able to adapt, and leave all behind once more.
She understood, but made sure to tell them The Business Office would send an formal invitation, before leaving.
It took them a few years, but they decided to give it a chance. They went on a boat and headed to New York, in hopes to start anew in the community of Fables.
When they arrived, they were placed in a small apartment in the Queens. It was precarious, but it was what they could afford them... But when her Grandmother's health started to become worrying in the big city, they made the choice to move out, away from Fabletown.
Currently, they live in a cozy two-store house in Hartsdale, in the county of Westchester. Only 40 minutes away from Fabletown, it's also where Scarlet's mom bakery is located, called Rosy Garden.
• 𝕽𝖊𝖑𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘𝖍𝖎𝖕𝖘:
Her relationships with the other Fables are quite diversed! :)
She has a pretty polite and warm relationship with most of the Fables she tends in her jobs! The kinds of Snow White and Bufkin are treated by her with good spirit and respect, specially when they request treats or foods from her work places.
The Fables she is closest to are her mother Rose Atwood and her Grandmother Violet Boulanger, who have been with her through thick and thin. She adores them and does everything to help and keep them safe.
She does have other Fable Friends, her three best friends are Vasilisa Krasívaya (Vasilisa the Beautiful), Luke Witherspoon (The Boy Who Cried Wolf) and Betty Peep (Little Bo Peep).
Speaking of him, Luke and Scarlet's relationship goes waaaay back. After the Bigby incident, they started to date! So not only he is her friend, but also her ex! They dated while in the Homelands, and while their relationship was good for the most part, his lies were what caused the break-up. They ended a few years before the Exodus, and after he fled, he worried she might have died :(.
(In my AU, I kept the concept of Cryer being Bigby's Deputy, so Bigby and Luke work together!)
Her interactions with Colin are that of friends, sort of. Like with Luke, they bonded over the fact Bigby fucked their lives in the Homelands lol. And although she finds Colin cool to hang around with, she and him tease each other restlessly AND she tends to chase him and his brothers with a broom everytime they pops up in Bigby's place after she just cleaned it.
Her interactions with Mr. Toad and Toad Jr. Are somewhat tensed. She doesn't agree with many actions of Toad's parenting but she sympathizes with their struggles... She tends to leave sweets to Jr. Whenever she goes by their house, some made of bugs, some to attract bugs for them.
With the likes of Jack, she just finds annoyance. Of course she is generally polite with him, but she definetly feels annoyed by his personality and how he approaches her.
With The Tweedles, Georgie and Jersey she avoids like the plague. She sometimes needs to see them when request pastries and sweets but, truth to be told? They freak her out in ways she can't even elaborate.
Her relationship with Gren is not of the greastest too, mostly bc of his cynism and harsh demenour. Their interactions are mostly filled with sarcasm, Scarlet finds him a brute and Gren finds her naive as a deer.
With Holly, is a bit different. Despite her no-nonsense way, she is a kind Troll and tries to look after Scarlet, specially knowing she is new and how long she faced the Adversary Rulling back home. Red likes Holly, many times offering her baked goodies to try to look after her, specially after what happened to Lily.
• 𝕺𝖑𝖉 𝕱𝖆𝖈𝖊𝖘:
Her relationship with Woody is complicated. While she is forever thankful for what he did for her and her Grandmother, saving their lives, she never bothered to know him further than the "hero who cutted the wolf". When she saw him becoming a drunker and a woman-beater, oh boy... She was disappointed and enraged.
Things got a turn for the worst when Woody pleaded for forgiveness to her, because of the guilt he carried inside: He was no hero. He wanted to use her, to steal her Grandma... Bearing a title that he did not deserved. Of course Scarlet was at first in desbelief, before being repulsed by him. For a man that she foolish thought was a good samaritan, was nothing but an opportunist.
It took her years to forgive Woody, or even consider it. She couldn't look at his face without thinking about that. While she managed to accept it, she never truly forgot it... They becomed friends to an extend, but the figure of the man that saved her life was gone, and all that was left was a forgotten figure who was as grim was this world they lived in.
With Bigby... With Bigby is something that mixes a lot of feelings. She, for many years, feared the beast that had swallowed her and her Grandmother whole, the creature that gave the scars in her hands and chest, buring acid that tried to dissolve her.
But as the centuries went by, she realized... Why fear a beast that was only following it's nature? Who can fault a wolf for hunt? Who faults a bird for flying? She never truly forgot, but she realized that it didn't made sense hate on a being who acted in instinct, not in malice.
Of course, her Grandmother didn't shared her view, but Scarlet placed that incident behind her. And while she still held PTSD from it, she consciously choose to overcome the fear.
She didn't recognized Bigby at first, how could she? The only time they saw each other, he was a wolf, not even the giant beast he would grow to become. So of course, she didn't realized that man with tired face, smell of cheap cigarette and gruff demenour was the same creature that ate her centuries ago.
Their first encounter was... Akward, mostly on Bigby's part. But he was shocked and surprised to know Red had forgiven him long ago, and even more in finding out she was alive, and what she went through all those years.
They continued to meet (most bc of Scarlet herself), bringing him meals, cleaning his apartment and trying to "start anew", Bigby tried to basically "shoo" her away many times, but she was restless in her efforts.
They grew to become friends, despite all odds. Bigby found Scarlet's presence both comforting and annoying and Scarlet enjoyed to annoy and help Bigby.
Tho their relationship might evolve to something far beyond that of friends...
• 𝖂𝖔𝖗𝖐(𝖘):
Scarlet works three jobs to help at home, specially to aid with the money for the house and for her Grandmother's skin creams recomended by Dr. Swineheart:
- Soup Pot : Owned by Mr. Volpe and Mr. Ciconíi, it's a restaurant located in the heart of Fabletown, well-known by it's delicious stews and soups, a hot spot for many Fables.
Scarlet works as a part-time Waitress and Delivery Girl. From Monday to Wednesday Afternoon, she works as a waitress at the afternoon and as delivery by night.
- Cozy Nest: A Café located in the East of Fabletown, it's run by Mrs. Reed, which specialities are homemade bread and all types of doughs served with the finest eggs. It's another spot of the community reserved for Fables that wish to relax in a warm, quiet location with a good homey atmosphere.
Scarlet works there was Delivery, from Thursday to Friday, all day. She actually doesn't have to do much cover since Mrs. Reed's own children work as waiters and delivery, but she was offered the job since the older Fable knew how Scarlet needed money.
Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Atwood have a friendly rivalry for the best baked delicacies of the Fable Community.
- Rosy Garden: The Bakery owned by Scarlet's mother, Rose Atwood in Hartsdale. A place frequented mostly by the Mundies of the area, and a popular hot spot in the town. Scarlet works there as a Waitress and Delivery Girl on Weekends and Holidays (part time).
Their most busy days, with Scarlet making runs in the town and in other cities (and in NYC itself) in one night on her red scooter.
• 𝕳𝖔𝖇𝖇𝖎𝖊𝖘:
Her hobbies are not so diverse, but still something pretty much "Scarlet" X3.
Her favorite hobbie is Crafting! She is particularly good and interested in creating tiny sculptures of paper mache. Her room is filled with sculptures of critters she made herself, one in particular is of a Big Dark-Furred Wolf and a Red Squirrel on it's back.
Her second favorite is riding. She loves cycling in the Central Park or in parks of Hartsdale! And of course, take the streets on her scooter. She just love the feeling of the wind hitting her hair and face as she goes through the scenary.
Scarlet also loves to bake! One of her favorite pass times and bonding moments with her mother, is baking delicious cherry or apple pies, and jam-filled cookies.
In a similar note, another hobby of hers is sewing. Just like with her mother, she spend most of the time sewing with her grandma (who is an skilled seamstress since her youth), particularly embordering hankchief.
She also loves to hike, jog, or perform any activity that envolves walking on nature.
(This led her to become part of a small community project to clean the green areas).
Collecting bows and cute decorations! She loves to make her room feel homey and cozy, with traditional patterns, flowers, plushies and other things.
Urban Exploration. Mostly as a way to know/understand how the Mundy Cities work, and why there are so many abandoned places.
• 𝕴𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖘:
Her interests vary, but she tries to keep herself always with a lot.
She is very interested in music, specially compared to how different it is from the Homelands' melodies... Her favorite singer would be Lana del Rey.
She is also particularly interested in the fruits and vegetables the Mundies eat. Some are not so different from what they had in the Homelands, but it certainly tastes unlike the ones from her former home. Needless to saw, she loves food turism :3.
She is very interested in animals, her connection with the critters being clear. She loves to see them walk around the trees or fly away in the sky.
She is fascinated with Mundy Media and how they tell their stories, she is a bit disappointed everyone sees to prefer the princess stories tho, but she loves Hoodwinked lol.
(As well as thriller movies and mexican soap operas)
She is also very interested in nature, it breaks her heart to see the deforestation happening in this world, when the Fables lived very atuned with the land... Her life style is more eco-friendly compared to other fellow Fables.
Scarlet also has a fascination with Mundy Traditions and Customs, like Halloween, Easter and such. She loves to watch and join Mundy Customs whenever she can (Also a way for her to put on her cloack and old dress when she was LRRH and make the kids happy lol).
