one take i heavily do not fw is “sirius ONLY cared about james” because while i do agree their bond was more special than most, i don’t need to put down all of sirius’ other friendships to uplift this one. sirius came from a place where he wasn’t taught proper human relationships and he was still able to form friendships with remus, peter, lily, and others outside of just james. to me, it takes away from sirius himself if you force the narrative that he solely gave a fuck about james. he became an animagus for remus. he trusted peter to be the secret keeper. he wanted to avenge both james and lily. he would have died for each and every one of them. if your only proof is that sirius was insensitive with the full moon comment (meaning he didn’t care about remus) then that’s stupid bc he was literally rude to james in that scene, too (when he was rejected by lily). that’s just who he is. it doesn’t mean he doesn’t care.
