Illyana is the only woman he has ever enjoyed letting take control in any way. It deeply fucks with his ego, but he is more addicted to the rush she gives him by keeping up and sometimes even outdoing him. It didn't start out that way however, his initial attraction very routine and her name simply next on his list.

Ethan likes to provide Illy with a juicy story every once in awhile. When he can feel her getting a little bit of cabin fever. The specifics of which he's never told her. He can't tell her all of his secrets after all. But he has gifted her with a trophy from each one unbeknownst to Anora, each piece of jewelry loved as much as the last.

Whenever Ethan has executed a kill meant as a gift for Illyana, he films it and takes some form of dental remnant as her trophy. He even got her her own treasure box for the hard drives that each video is saved on and a second for all her teeth. Those kills he doesn't keep a trophy for himself due to the motivations behind them. Very much like a cat leaving a dead mouse at your doorstep, the trophies just show up - in the form of both affection and apology.

"No," he told her honestly with a shake of his head, glancing downward. "You didn't. I just...I don't know what..."

Eyes catching sight of the crumpled photo had his brain short-circuiting. He bent down and picked it back up, smoothing it out as best he could. A grimace freely showed itself as he looked at the man who ruined his life, Ethan incorrectly placing full blame for his afflictions on Uncle Marc. He had merely been the trigger.

"No one has ever..." He had to clear his throat of the rising lump trying its damndest to cut off the admission coming forth. "...cared enough to..." Another lump forced away. "...go through the trouble." Of believing him. Let alone enough to do anything about it. "Except Jo," he added of his sister with a soft, almost homesick, sigh. He missed his sister.

She's starting to see that Ethan's pain goes much deeper than Illy had realized and is impressed by how well he'd buried it from everyone for as long as he had. What did she do here? What could she do? Words, obviously, were not her strong suit and Anora was reluctant to make an attempt considering her long-running streak of putting a foot in her mouth.

Now, she was strolling up to Illy with a little baggy there with the tabs of acid that she slid across the bar to the younger female. A brow raising in curiousity at the very mention of the word that left her mouth. "A bet? Hm? Alright, what is it?"

"I'm going to get some leading footage tonight." Anora declared with a widening grin. There was something unsetteling about her growing excitement and it was too easy to picture the Chesire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

So, when he felt her presence behind him, he forced himself to remember she was trying. And that maybe he should have mentioned his sister was in town before there had been a chance for her suspicions to get the better of her. He finished filling his glass as she spoke, a smirk she couldn't see pulling at his lips when she mentioned that stupid ass brunch.

A smirk that fell flat the moment her name was mentioned. He swallowed thickly, cutting off the water. Unexpected. He gently glanced at her momentarily over his shoulder before taking a drink. Spend the most romantic day of the year with his sister? Whom she'd just aggressively suspected of stealing away her husband. What was she playing at?

"I'll have to add her the reservation, but that should be fine," he agreed, setting the cup down and turning to face her with a shrug, wiping his hands clean against each other gently - the revelation of his plans for the day that day intentional. Ridiculous as that brunch had been, it had been a thing to do.

"She is pretty amazing," he told her pointedly, leaning against the counter and crossing his arms. "I'm glad you're finally starting to see it," he added definitively, though with welcome for her to approach.

Add her to the reservation?

The tension that had been building in her stomach gurgles like a toxic witches brew. Asshole. She hated when Ethan was one step ahead of her ( and he probably hated when Illy was one step ahead of him ).

She's finally able to make her body move and she turns to the trashcan sitting next to the counter. Illy's foot comes down clumsily on the hatch and the lid shoots open with an ugly thud. "So we're doing romance?" Illy assess of his gesture. She drops the paper inside of it and moves to stand in front of him.

She could do romance. Kind of..

Truthfully, she fucking sucked at it and the pressure of trying always made Anora act like more of a cunt than usual. Hence her nasty streak with Ethan lately.

There's something sincere and warm in her expression as Illy leans her body against him and wraps her arms around his neck. "Passion." She muses.

The word was tinged with sexual energy as she thought of the kind of passions they usually engaged in.

"It is our first Valentine's day as Mr. and Mrs. Harrison." Anora concedes, slowly warming to the idea of the stupid fucking brunch.
