Oh, isnât it so much fun when oneâs power ties into emotion? It ranges from being mildly destructive to others or oneself to being a danger way beyond Athenaâs expertise as a mostly-normal human; at least the problem isnât necessarily with the powers themselves. The principle remains the same â she needs help with understanding and management of the innate feelings that drive her on a day-to-day basis, and that is very well within Athenaâs means to work with.
At long last, her client enters the lobby and Athena moves to greet her in personâ sheâs young and looks the part, of her own age if the application speaks correctly. Thatâs⌠a little unnerving, taking into consideration her specific scenario, but there really is no circumstance in which it wouldnât be, even if she were older than barely-crossed adulthood. âPriscilla, yeah? Thank you for coming!â No last name? Not all that necessary, anyhow. âCome on in. We can get started soon.â
Sheâs chosen a slightly bigger office; two beige-yellow settees as normal and off-white walls, and two large windows on the other side of the entrance with a little cactus resting on the sill of one of them. Whatâs an office without plants, anyway? âIâve taken your caution into account â thank you for telling me that, by the way â I just want to clear this up first for both our safety. Whatâs your procedure for when you lose control of your powers? If you just wait it out, I can leave you in the room for a bit until weâre ready to get back, or I can see if I can find someone to help you stabilize. Just let me know what works for you!â
Priscilla had done so many different things in the city since she arrived, so many things that she never imagined doing. But this was probably the biggest step that she had taken on her own. It was scary, talking to someone about her problems. One of the most wonderful things about this city was the fact that nobody knew what she was. Nobody could just tell she was a monster from looking at her. Though, it kind of felt like the red haired girl did.Priscilla shifted a little as she was addressed.Â
âAh, yes... Thatâs me. Thank you very much for meeting with me, doctor.â Was that the proper title here? She wasnât sure. This was her first time seeing a doctor at all. Oh, she could be in so much trouble if her bosses had heard that she was here. No, not her bosses anymore.
Entering the office, the girl could not help but bristle a little bit. It was a big room, but it was... Oh, she should probably explain herself. Athena wouldnât know any better without being told. âAh, is it alright if we open up a window...? I donât really like enclosed spaces. Itâs, ah, something of a rather big fear of mine.â She didnât want to explain that.
âAs for calming myself down... Well, most of the time I can handle it on my own, as long as Iâm not actually trying to use my powers. However... If it gets too bad, itâs fatal, and normally, Iâd call on my one of my sisters to...â Yeah, she wasnât finishing that statement. âBut, actually, I think being able to step outside would help. Me stepping outside, I mean. Changing the environment helps.â
