new blood in the wounds

luteal phase movement is always p tough bc the elevation of baseline inflammation usually means i recover from workouts significantly slower n even more so w/ a ruptured cyst so !! i had an active recovery day yesterday which had me waking up this morning being like “well that did nothing” :)c n that clued me in that i’ve been talking to myself p poorly this last week n creating a LOT of mental friction trying to push against the lower+more easily depleted energy and getting frustrated w/o monitoring how i’m building context around how my body feels rn. was falling back into v moralistic views of myself/my drive/my integrity (not just in movement but in my daily routines n work) n that’s 🙅 not how we move forward !! so i deliberately used my yoga practice today to 1) practice moving safely thru fatigue w/ loving attention brought into every transition n posture and 2) watch how my inner dialogue was kicking in n modifying my perception where i needed to. chronic disease is hard enough to manage w/o me mindlessly talking shit abt my body, which is already stressed n inflamed like i do nottttt need to be adding alienation from self n a lack of a sense of safety thru acting like it’s a personal failing to struggle to maintain routines n recover from physical activity slower. be kind to ur mindbody bc it’s trying so hard!!
