some wouldn't feel exactly comfortable with the idea of their leader having had an affair with... well... the guy who's making everyone fight in this war. i think ratchet, specifically, would be more resistant at first (not just because of nebula themselves, but more because megs was keeping that secret).

arcee would also be somewhat reluctant about all of this, but he doesn't blame the sparkling or optimus and will even grow fond of them over time.

i think bulkhead and bumblebee were horrified by the idea of megop, but they would have liked nebula (OH THE CHILDREN TOO!!). besides, everyone would feel a little weird about optimus at first lol but that would pass with time.

optimus himself would initially feel betrayed and confused in relation to megatron, but as soon as he saw nebula he would feel immediately connected to them and love them as much as if they had already spent years together.

thinking about the reactions to the baby nebula motivated me to do a quick doodle (i still regret choosing tfp, these designs are so hard)

if this is a question, then i need to specify that the first time the autobots come into contact with nebula, they will already be grown! there is a time jump between the moment they are "born" and the beginning of the cartoon as we know it!

i like to think that nebula inadvertently participated in some conflicts and until then no one had noticed anything strange because of the mask and visor. but despite being a decepticon, i think they would be fascinated by some things on earth, mainly due to the influence of knockout (megatron hates it). but it wouldn't be entirely positive admiration, since they also have some shockwave influence lol

in this way, i think encounters would happen here and there, and this could fuel doubts and questions. but when optimus actually discovers the truth... well...

i think logically, sparklings would be able to ingest the processed energon in some way, but i really like the idea that, at least initially, the carriers feed them with their own energon from their lines.

sorry for taking so long to aswer this, but the truth is. i'd never thought about it before. however, i took my time to carefully consider this scenario and came to some conclusions!

first: arcee was the one who took the initiave. idk it looks so right in my mind. in this au i imagine her as tidal wave, someone who won't think twice about doing what she believes in and someone who, when she wants something, will go all the way to get it.

that's why their dynamic is so fun for me. while on one side you have blackarachnia with her destructive attachment to the past, unscrupulous in achieving her goals and with serious trust issues, on the other you have arcee who doesn't remember who she is, without a sense of self-preservation to face any danger (a personality trait resulting from her immense loyalty to her companions) and extremely sincere in her actions and words.

i don't think she would be shy or reserved about her crush. she would probably ask for that kiss. and that would annoy blackarachnia, not because she doesn't want it (she wants it BAD) but bc she has difficulty believing in those feelings.

maybe she would only engage in this flirting game out of anger, and later they would make out aggressively. this would complicate their relationship even more.

I compare Arcee and Blackarachnia's story to Beauty and the Beast not exactly because it will progress in the same way as the tale, but bc of similarities such as: Blackarachnia "kidnaps" Arcee from the decepticons, the whole issue of Blackarachnia's insecurity about her appearance, and Arcee developing feelings for her for who she is (this actually came about bc I HATE the fact that BC didn't have a self-acceptance arc in the show to embrace who she is now)

Knockout is very close to Nebula, since he accompanied them while Megs was carrying, but I don't think he's particularly good at dealing w sparklings lol. And when Nebula get older, they'll be primarily interested in science, so he'll eventually act as a "teacher" to them (also bc of this interest, Shockwave is kind of an idol for Nebula, and Knockout isn't very happy about it XD)

I believe Arcee might have been surprised at first, but more in a "how did you end up in this situation?" kind of way. However, she's in a very confused and vulnerable place due to the gaps in her memory, so she considers Blackarachnia's "help" cautiously. Since they'll be spending a lot of time together from then on, whether Blackarachnia is somewhat organic or not is no longer a relevant issue, and eventually Arcee comes to appreciate other aspects of Blackarachnia and develops a "crush" on her. At least in my mind, I imagine this crush arising not because of Blackarachnia's physique, but because of who she is, and from there Arcee would also be charmed by her appearance.

My original idea with this AU is that Elita-1 and Arcee didn't meet while they were both still Autobots. Or at least they weren't close. Later, Blackarachnia only becomes interested in Arcee bc she sees her as a means to achieve her goal, which results in her kidnapping Arcee from the Decepticons before Optimus's team can rescue her. This also ends up changing the events of the canon.

Regarding Arcee, since she still has no memory at this time, BC can more easily deceive her with promises of help, and will certainly distort many events! Arcee will be the first to become romantically interested in this crazy dynamic that develops between them, and she will have a lot of work to do due to all the internal issues Blackarachnia faces, so this is not an easy and sweet romance.
