The proper action to take that I soooo wish every single Foundational Black American WNBA player should take is to boycott some games or boycott this ASG — heck even the rest of the season if you ask me.
This league and those at the top have enabled, encouraged and condoned the racism since she got drafted and they refuse to make any real moves to be aggressive about what is the required intolerance for racism.
if they keep on with the way they’ve been running things, this league is about to go downhill in way where they may just not be any type of recovery. It’s really only so much the major demographic who make up the league will tolerate any longer and only so much the day one supporters will support. They’ve set the whole league back by not decentering one player that has plagued it.
And now head coaches are using inflammatory, racial phrases about an opposing Black player. It’s irrelevant that in that coach’s “defense”, there is a difference in culture and it supposedly means something else — you work for an American professional league made up of majority of FOUNDATIONAL BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN and you’ve coached for several years and coached several Black women ….you do know the cultural context of words and statements and its American context. ATP, I don’t care what alleged excuses people will try to make to defend her. It’s reproachable. All the words to use that word was the one.
This has all been building and festering for years. This season is UGLY!
I would absolutely support if Black players boycott this all star game.
…some Black parents are loving their Black children to death by being this deliberately oblivious to America’s system of racism. This kind of unreal, unconsciousness does your babies no good. You’re preparing them to be unaware, vulnerable … to be unprepared.
This is not how we should be raising our children.
(allegedly) In this particular climate in our country, unfortunately, there maybe more cases like this. And it’s not coincidental or allegedly accidental. I don’t know how much more to express this but some in the ruling/dominant racist white controlling power (whether elite or not) is in a state of chaos. [allegedly] They are at a stage of no return from that same supernatural occurrence that Thomas Jefferson wrote about centuries ago—and because they are there, they will be doing heinous things to Black people as their way to cope with their existence. I keep telling yall this. Befriending Black people with nefarious intentions, getting in relationship with you, inviting you and you’re the singular Black person there is not just some happenstance.
Get out the mythological, comatose bubble and stay in reality.
Your children are going on “trips” with their “friends” as the lone Black person and yet they are the lone ones not coming back home alive to you.

LordT…now they saying Beyoncé is Caribbean. Solange as well because their dad’s dad is allegedly Caribbean. Apparently it’s been years people have claimed this. Beyoncé’s ethnic background is shape shifting according to un-founded claims.
I’ve heard people say Lil Kim’s parents are from the Caribbean.
I’ve heard people say Normani is Nigerian.
I’ve seen comments saying Venus and Serena are Jamaican. I mean Serena’s middle name is Jameka I guess that makes her Jamaican..¿
Who is next to be stripped of their FBA lineage?!
I’m guessing A’ja Wilson will be next or Allen Iverson or Mahalia Jackson.
Y’all can’t just willy nilly disconnect us from our American lineage. Don’t do that lol! Don’t do this stolen lineage valor. Cmon now.
What’s fascinating is that these folk will tell yall they’re Creole and/or Indigenous and that isn’t believed but then the same people will turn around and assign whole other country identities to them. This is getting out of hand.
Michael B Jordan simply said his dad flew in from Ghana for the Oscars and now, he’s Ghanaian. Didn’t I tell yall…
(I’m pretty positive that Michael is gonna get his Ghanaian dual-citizenship soon. His father being there is not coincidental. With the “year of return” initiative that many Black Native Americans engage in.)
Or he’ll have a “Finding Your Roots” episode with Gates that tells him he’s 1.5% Ghanaian and that’ll connect why he’s getting Ghanaian citizenship.
season 160 episode 7 of stolen lineage valor:
according to recent claims, Crispus Attucks and Lauryn Hill are Haitian. Attucks’ mother is Indian (Black Native American) while his father is really unknown but now, his unknown father is Haitian. And Hill was in a group named the Fugees and her group-mates were both Haitian…therefore, she’s Haitian.
who will be next? Erykah Badu, James Baldwin, Stevie Wonder, Megan Thee Stallion.
Dana Evans

The WNBA this season has been so weird.
The 30th year and not one Black woman is head coach of any team. They still got retirees speaking ill on current players on behalf of 1 singular player who has barely played three business days for their entire career — and atp, it’s tired and ancient to keep this up. That commissioner is still employed. A member of congress is getting involved w/ faux “outrage” and using time on sports & entertainment and not state politics.
Just weirdness.

I am so unhappy with Chennedy.
She let herself get in her own way — again.
There were so many people who went above and beyond to get her and I fr thought she found her forever home with Vegas. I truly thought she had longevity with the Aces. Or at least being there for maybe 3 seasons or more.
They chose her. It wasn’t a despite of or regardless of any prior history. They wanted her with the team. And she had whole legends and vets (former player/ coach) championing on her behalf to get her. All this alignment happened for her!
I wish she would’ve just been a student under this organization and learned from so much of the guidance that’s there. From her teammates and coach and all this winning history in their resume. At some point, she would’ve absolutely gotten a chip with them. She’s so good and this franchise really felt like a perfect match.
It’s disappointing that she didn’t get a chance to see the potential with this team. It’s disappointing that she fell back into old, detrimental habits and lost her opportunity. It’s disappointing she squandered this. It’s disappointing that she didn’t prove her past self wrong.
And we don’t know if this is definite for her. There could be another team that picks her up. She’s not an anomaly in being a vocal player against your own team (we’ve seen this in all leagues and from so many players. She ain’t the first to make slick comments about their own coach or peers or teammates). But it comes to a point of evolving from those old habits and maturing and recognizing the value within self to push past the very things that hemmed you up before. Otherwise, she’ll repeat this.
Man, she had a chance to prove herself to herself and she didn’t.
