couldn't help but try my hand at these designs except i immediately lost steam after drawing pk. so uhhhhhhhhh ok. i love all of these tho. pk's throne has been a headache ever since i settled for taur designs but the hole in the throne idea is literally genius. his horrible nightmare mouth... his terrible larping. And shade's design in particular gets me because it takes after wl... the root-limbs r very nicely drawn.. the colors too - so their shells are all translucent? you can see the void through them. while pk's got that bluish sheen from what i assume is his blood/flesh color. hoho. his pair of fake person-legs must be so cumbersome at times

Pk with his hole-in-the-throne... he back into it when there's no one but his guards around and doesn't climb out until the meetings end.... oughhhh you put a detail on his eyes that fits so well... i forgot to add it.

Sometimes he regrets making the legs. there are centipedes in his court he would've been fine.

Shade's root parasite overtook the wyrm part of it and now she is mostly root. Yeagh, translusent!! The "mask" part is more solid, but if the right angle and light level are hit some parts are see-through! The shells themselfs are kinda a dirty grey-white color without void:

I think the butterflies and moths had a little belief about eyes warding off predators (but mb for moths it was like their goddess was looking for their safety and for butterflies it was a "eye scares predators" thing that grown into superstition)

rolled a nat one. tbh he is looking at the spectre that haunts him. at one point i wanted to make him think he's hallucinating the little survivor or that he is looking at another future. but still he buffed it badddd do not let him talk while drunk.

doing it all conscious is sooo important to me. he needs to be the one who kills his eggs(puts them into abyss. im still pondering a comic about that) and who takes the survivor out and forces himself to interact with the corpse of his child and teach it everything it needs to know and choosing to see and feel all this pain until the moment its over. he wants to repent so bad but there is no god for his forgiveness.

and then its over. and all he wants to do is forget. to not feel anything ever again. trying to throw his mind away indeed. oughhhh I'm glad it came through as intended!!

He is so used to the pure vessel being polite and unreactive... and talking about them like they aren't even there he tried to pull the same trick on Someli. He really sees all vessels as a less-perfect Pv...

#I wonder if he was just going to take Someli with him. trying to find a replacement for his child but it's all futile#<- fascinated by that too bc the idea of the type of parent he'd be post pv horrifies me

horid thought but soooo compelling. Someli would not go easily hir would start biting. trying to replace the perfect visage of pv if it was allowed to be a child and not a vessel.... he would expect so much from Someli and he would be soo judgmental over everything i think... but also gifting them everything and anything bc his one child could not ask. would never ask. and now that they're gone he would try to give everything that he couldn't give to them to Someli... thank you for this thought i will chew on this forever and ever.
