🔥Finally I can reveal this small project I’ve dreamed of since a long time.

An Headphones Module that turns OFF the sound of the cabinet when you plug your headphones. 😀

Maybe it’s already on sale on some Arcade website, but I never heard about it so we worked on this solution with my friend.

The goal was to replicate somehow the very practical module you can still find on each & every Egret II cabinet at the TAITO HEY Game Center in Tokyo.

Result looks and sounds good to me. 😋

I’m not fan of this kind of full restoration because it erases all the legacy of the machine.

Those cabinets have a 40 years history in Japanese Game Centers. I believe it’s crucial to keep them in their original status even nowadays, and especially nowadays because most of the collectors prefers to make them like brand new.

Unfortunately, some of those metal based cabinets faced too many battles and cannot be saved without a full restoration.
