      [ tucking his chin in to look down at      her - the dreaded double chin lining      his neck - he couldn’t help but smile.      drowsy and utterly wonderful, she was.      the flutter of her eyelashes, dark in      comparison to the pale skin beneath      them. a subtle pink flaring in her cheeks,      those cheeks lifting with the curve of      her lips. her smile made her eyes      dance. and jesus, he would give just      about anything to hold her everyday      for the rest of their short lives. and      how he prayed to have to watch her go.      to take the pain of losing her, so that      she didn’t have to take the pain of losing      him. how he fearlessly hoped to give her      everything she wanted, if not more.

                             ( -- skin crawls at the light touch                                 upon her forearm, and there's                                 a small smile beginning to play                                 at her lips as her head tilts slightly                                 to rest just beneath his chin. sure,                                 she may be at an awkward position,                                 but it won't stop her from getting                                 comfortable. 

                                this was the man she fell for. the                                 half-cyborg, sarcastic bastard who                                 only wished to give her infinity and                                 that was it. it was this guy-- this                                 m a n she had come to adore                                 so much. )

                               the calls finished; and it's quite simple to                                see because the phone lowers from her                                ear, and the once noisy talking from several                                feet away has ceased. there's a silent shuffling                                against the ground, & the crinkling of crisp                                leaves as shoed feet stride through the brush                                back towards the two males. 

                               slender fingers tap against the plastic work                                of the container in her hands, squirmy, grimed                                intruders poking at the lid, & soon as she comes                                to be r i g h t on top of augustus, a hand is diving                                down, slender fingers curling around the hem of                                his pants, & back they come, the container being                                shoved forward and the contents dumped forth into                                his trousers. 

                               there's not a second she spends waiting to                                jump back and drop the container, watching                                as it bounces then rolls off into the grass and                                eventually tumbles down the hill. 

                          ( it was odd whenever someone came                              to say hi to her-- usually they'd just leave                              her alone. allow her to keep to herself and                              not worry about anything or anyone. especially                              these kind of teens.

                             the teens who thought they were everything                              and were some sort of hot shit who didn't think                              their shit stank.

                             if she could vanish into the wall and act as                              if she weren't there was a definite option                              she would have taken; but, things such as                              that were quite impossible to solid forms                              of life. 

                             so, here she sits, a cancer-kid, fidgeting in her                              seat as she fights for the right words to say, or                              just to say nothing and allow him to walk up and                              go away.
