OOOOO I LOVE THIS QUESTION!!!!

Anything Mario related: Better than real life. Why? Death is temporary there and everything is so bright, fun, and whimsical. Who wouldn’t love it?

Sailor Moon: Very fun, survivable, but not better than real life. Full of friendship, love, understanding, and it looks so cool. Butttt those villains are ruthless. They do not care. And personally, I can’t handle that. 😭

Once Upon a Time: Not better than real life, but still fun and okay. I’d be sick and tired of Regina’s antics and the constant curses being thrown around left and right. But honestly just stay out of Regina’s way in the first few seasons and all is fine.

FNaF Silver Eyes Trilogy: Everyone pretty much survived. It’s not that hard AT ALL. Just do what Lamar did and never ever go back to Hurricane and stay away from the location. He was fine.

DCU: Not Bad, not all that great either. But it really depends on the universe. If it was any universe following the Batman who laughs or anything of that sort, NO THANK YOU. And places like Gotham in general? Nooooo thanks. There’s always something happening there. ALWAYS! But if it’s something silly like TTG, I can handle that and I think I’d be fine.

Mouthwashing: Not worse than death, but still horrid. I CANNOT imagine the pain the characters went through. Man, I cried to Anya, I can’t handle it ACTUALLY happening. Also surviving off mouthwash alone? Nope. I CAN’T do that.

Hunger Games: Not worse than death, but oh my gosh no thank you. I love the series but I know that if I’m ever chosen I’m a goner. Without a doubt.

Stranger Things: Not worse than death, buttttt I’d be scared the entire time. I’d constantly be paranoid, and don’t think I’d do good in places like the upside down at all.

FNaF: Really depends on the game. If it’s UCN I’m done, that’s worse than death. But if it’s FNaF world or Security Breach, those are SO easy to survive.

School Bus Graveyard: Not really worse than death but would go insane. I think I would absolutely lose my mind though. Absolutely. Being transported into a different dimension every night for seven hours, being able to ‘die’ in that dimension but not really die but still feel the pain and your dimension body heavily relying on your current state of mental health? I would lose my mind. And then the whole Crane stuff, the lab, the comas, the being told you’re just hallucinating and everything you’ve been experiencing is a lie only to come out that everything you’ve been experiencing is real and way worse things are bound to happen. NO THANKS!

BATIM: Worse than death. Those things ink blobs really scare me. Only for them to pop out unexpectedly and attack you is just a big no for me.

Homesick: Worse than death. No thank you. I’ve seen those murks and I heavily dislike them. I know for a fact I’m a goner. Plus everything is scary.

TADC: WORSE THAN DEATH. I would lose my mind. Without a doubt. Not remembering my name but still having memories? That’d feel like such a giant lie. The adventures would be manageable unless they’re like the adventure Pomni and Kinger went on in episode 3. I’d abstract after that. Plus, I get homesick so easily I’d just be mourning the life I once had.

I don’t dislike the trans Jax theory at all, and I’m somewhat fond of it as well. I think it’s an interesting and completely valid headcanon. It’s just not how I personally perceive his character. For me, Jax’s forced masculinity and discomfort around anything coded as ‘feminine’ or too ‘soft’ reads more as trauma. Especially after episode seven, with the flashes of the real world with the house, it getting closer, then the car, I interpreted that as him running away from home. And I don’t think people run without a reason. My read is that he may have come from a family that belittled or controlled him, possibly mocking his interests, feminizing him, or making him feel weak or less than for not fitting their idea of masculinity. That kind of upbringing can really mess with someone’s head and it would explain why he overexerts masculinity and views softness as a threat. That said, I don’t think my interpretation cancels out the trans Jax theory at all. Headcanons can coexist and people resonate with characters for different reasons. This is just the view that makes the most sense to me based on the imagery and his behavior. I understand why others see it that way and they are not wrong to. I also think there is legitimate evidence people point to when reading Jax as trans, like his room being very feminine and the egg imagery. None of that is wrong and I get why it resonates with people. For me though, it still does not feel like enough to move beyond headcanon into something the story is actually going to address. With only two episodes left and the main plot centered on escaping the circus and everyone kinda losing her minds, I don’t really see the space for a gender identity arc without disrupting that momentum. That is a major reason why I lean more toward a trauma based interpretation. Again, this does not invalidate the trans Jax theory at all. I think it is cool and as of right now there is no right or wrong answer. Theorizing is really fun, and with TADC there aren’t many bad theories. I just do not expect it to become textual or canon given the structure and pacing of the story. And if it does, I think it would have to be confirmed by Goose herself rather than in the show. But we’ll see!
