i think we as a fandom should just let go of Sue as a character. she’s a massive transmisogynistic caricature and i have yet to see a single design or portrayal of her that does anything to even slightly dismantle these roots. please. -a transfem fan

As someone who does have a special place for the idea of Sue’s potential in their heart, I would love for more people weigh in (especially trans women!) on what we can do to properly deconstruct her from the harmful stereotypes she played into. The last thing I want is to make this whole show and dance about distancing ourselves from the origin of the brothers because of their bigoted beliefs (especially transphobia) and then not do anything about the transmisogyny carried in the very origin of one of the characters.

The anon is valid for saying they think we should throw the baby out with the bathwater when it comes to Sue’s character, and any other trans person who doesn’t want to have to deal with (gestures) this is fair in feeling that way. I also think that any other trans people in the fandom who do like Sue or the potential of the character to the point of wanting to preserve some piece of her is valid too, and I’d love to hear from both sides.

My anon asks are on for any of yall who feel comfortable enough sharing with the whole fandom but may not feel ready being seen, and my personal messages are open for anyone who wants to share their insight and experiences but may not feel comfortable having their words publicized— especially considering how painful topics like this can be.

For the record! Not asking for anyone to educate me— I know it can be exhausting— i more intend to open the door for anyone who may feel like they have thoughts they’d love to add to the conversation, but can’t for any reason.

Is it just me, or did anyone notice that Jordan always played as characters who were condescending and rude to their close ones, more specifically Papa Acachalla and Johnny Ghost? Especially in the later videos ( The Brown Wall Era - August 23, 2016 MARVAL'S SPIDERMAN! GMOD to June 25, 2019 Jordan Lost in JEDI ACADEMY 4 ) where these two characters became flanderized to be almost Squidward-esque. I’m not sure of the reason for him to do this, my best guess is that they reflected how he could’ve possibly acted in real life and towards the Frye sisters.
