snowynest was born the biggest of her siblings. while they both outgrew her in height, she beats them out in sheer mass. she is a DENSE cat. despite her name, i dont think she could walk on a snow drift without sinking. her markings are based on snowy owl feathers. how did a pure brown cat get called snowy? well, i think that she is everyone's go-to cat in the winter months because she is so warm and easy to curl up to. her chatty behavior makes cats feel safe. even when she's too much, you're left still endeared and wanting more. she was born with anophthalmia - she has no eyes. i was so psyched when i saw she had blue eyes in the sprite, because you line in blue already, so while she's still sprite accurate, there's nothing there. she's very observant to sounds, smells, and changes in the wind, so she usually gets around in familiar spaces fine. she tends to struggle more in unfamiliar places, or with fine motor skills - she's not a very good nest builder, for instance! but she makes up for it in sheer charm and confidence, and is a hard cat to keep down.

lilacskip is the prodigy of the family, though she often finds herself stumbling into success, rather than planning for it. by the time they were apprenticed, she towered over her siblings, yet few cats would describe her as "big". she gives the appearance of a baby deer, and tended to trip over herself a lot when she was younger. as an adult, she's MUCH more graceful, and prances around the camp with high steps that suit her bubbly optimism. she's a bit ditzy, and not very good for conversation, but she tries hard and is very easy to get along with. i imagine her hairties are some sort of human trash - rubber bands or zip ties or something in that vein. to me, she's also a bit of a neat freak, and often struggles to read a room, especially if the room skews more negative. maybe she struggles a bit with empathy? sometimes her positive attitude comes off as fake, but she is also just a hard cat to bring down. her stripes and ears are supposed to evoke stalks of lavender bc turns out i can't tell flowers apart. oops.

unlike his sisters, stemspike was born down. he stands somewhere between lilac and snowy, and is scrawnier than both of them. he was a try-hard in his youth, desperately trying to please older and more important cats and often embarrassing himself in the process. his prickly fur suits his prickly personality, and his thin tail is usually swinging back and forth like a whip in annoyance or anger. he's insecure and moody, and pushes cats away long before they get close enough to figure out just what his problem is. does he know what his problem is? who knows! the upside of being such a dainty little beast is that he's a masterful opponent in battle. he's very good at slipping in and out of range, striking hard and sharp, and then wriggling away before getting pinned. all of the two-pronged tufts were supposed to invoke the image of a sprout, and he's also supposed to look deer-like to match lilac.
