was it dinah’s best idea to bring billy in for informal questioning as a ruse to rattle his cage? no, but she was also saving face after he pumped and dumped her ass when she really should have known better so i can’t judge her too harshly. plus you can’t keep ben and amber’s chemistry down and she got in some good zingers so as an audience member and shipper it was still a net positive. i walked away with something!

the type of hatred that billy and dinah have for each other can only be engendered by the gov agent all up in your business being sexier than she has any right to be and almost making a ladykiller fall in love and care about her beyond sex who you then had to cast aside bc she was going to interfere with your bottom line but you wish it didn’t have to come to that so you could keep fucking her so you encourage her to go back to her job even if that actually complicates things for you bc this is what passes for atonement in your self aggrandizing mind OR you decided to finally let this hot suave self made man in and he dicked you down so good but then you found out he was a sociopath and worse than breaking your heart he made you look stupid and you’re no longer getting that fire dick and it would never have worked out but wasn’t it nice when you thought it could and you had the power to keep him at arm’s length and make him work for it, respectively
in short the opposite of love isn’t hate it’s apathy and that’s why, as insane as i sound right now, i’m right about billy and dinah’s relationship being one of the most consequential ones in the punisher and the writers dropped the ball by not acknowledging it more in S2 (and i’m also right that if billy was less of a sociopath then dinah, not frank, would be the one person who he would have changed for but i digress)
love how both season premiere episodes of the punisher were comparatively inconsequential to the main plots of their seasons. it’s the consistency. i’m also mad that frank hopped into bed with a random single mom but left my girl karen THIRSTING. frank you deserve being put in the cuck chair by a guy who runs around in a devil costume.
